I was on the old theme v3.1.1. After upgrading to your latest version of v4.6.1, I encountered 2 problems.
1.The homepage is broken. It looks like the short codes are not working. See broken image below:
2. At the same time, when I tried to install the required plugin after the upgrade, I’ve got this error:

I would like to know if there is some special setting for the homepage top sidebar to make it scroll with the content. As I can see from your Demo Homepage (Default) you have two sidebars and both of them scroll. I’m using the same template but I only managed to make the second (lower) sidebar scroll.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
The hover effect on images in the big grid (looks like an opacity change) isn’t working right.
Have tried disabling plugins and checking that no custom CSS was screwing with it. This affects the homepage and category pages. Even tried a different host.
Most of the time it doesn’t work at all; the effect never starts. Sometimes, though, it’ll darken the image. When it does, on occasion, darken the image on hover, it does not lighten the image on hover out. Not sure what to make of it.

I really love this theme you guys created, and I’m hoping you can help me out with something. I’d like to set up a Big Slide Module on my homepage, but instead of displaying posts within it, I would like it to display static pages on the site that do not change. This way, I can present important information to my site visitor without worrying that it will be lost if I add content elsewhere.
I’ve been looking around in Visual Composer but I can’t seem to find a way to do this. It only offers “categories” for posts and whatnot, but I want to be very specific about what pages I feature in the Big slide and the other elements in the module.
Hopefully there is a simple solution to this. Please let me know. Thank you!
I am using block 6 on the homepage.At the begining ,it shows full content of the articles.So,I go to Theme Panel -> Excerpts and select the EXCERPTS TYPE: On Letters(our site is Chinese). And it works with no specific number designated to the EXCERPT LENGTH box,but then I find out that I cann’t change the length of the excerpt. No matter what number I type into the EXCERPT LENGTH box, the frontend always the shows the same.
Seem that as long as you select EXCERPTS TYPE: On Letters ,the excerpt will work right away as a constant.The EXCERPT LENGTH numbers cann’t do nothing at all.

This is a page in the blog, THAT page http://blog.tumanitas.com/prensa/. I can’t create pages on the blog or otherwise they are concatenated on the homepage.

To remove it you just have to change the template to the default page template.

Unfortunately there is no option for this if you are displaying for your front page latest post. Visual Composer plugin works only on pages, so if you change to front page static: http://screencast.com/t/sm1LGx0DV and you build an Homepage you can always add that block above the footer.
For example I use a block 5 for Latest Articles, a Widgetised Sidebar and Block 16 for Latest Videos:

Question 1: On the homepage, I want to remove the dates from underneath the three headlines starting with Kenya…, Iraq…, and Raw:… which are utilizing Block 5.
But, I want to keep the dates underneath the articles on the other pages and on the posts, so I can’t just disable the “Show Date” option in the Theme Panel under the Post Settings, because, whilst that removes the dates from the homepage, it also removes the dates from here and here, which, I don’t want. How do I remove, or hide with CSS, the dates from underneath the three World News Headlines on the homepage?
Question 2: With your previous help (thanks), I’ve customized the “RELATED VIDEOS” heading viewable at the bottom of this post.How do I make the corners on the right hand side of the “RELATED VIDEOS” rounded like the corners on the left hand side?
Question 3: I’ve created a Video Sources page. I want to make the page heading have a black box with white writing like the World News heading on this page. Inserting a “Text with title” makes the heading I want appear but there is too much of a gap/space underneath then. Is there a specific html/css tag that I can enter to make the desired heading appear?

First of all I want to say that the theme is great and looks awesome! It was very easy to install and customize.
I am having a problem with the homepage, I followed the instructions on how to create the home and all went perfect until I realized that above the “Last posts” section it displays all the pages I have created on the blog. I have no idea how to solve this, any ideas/suggestions?

I’m trying to use Newspaper template for my site. For the moment I’m using it on a localhost.
When I click on “View the site” I am redirect to http://localhost/wordpress/ and a generic homepage-with article appears.
My it’s NOT my homegage!
I created my homepage as you show in your tutorial. I called it “Homepage” and I used the homepage-with article list model.
I can see it if I click on the house-shape button in header menu and it’s address is
http://localhost/wordpress/homepage/
But I want that MY homepage is loaded both when I click the home button and when I load the url site.
Basically I want that
http://localhost/wordpress/
and
http://localhost/wordpress/homepage/
show the same page, that is my hompage!

I’m trying to use custom html instead of showing articles when using background homepage.
1.The header won’t go transparent. I tried the button in theme panel.
2.I want to have the homepage with the background image but instead of using articles on the ‘big slide’ I want to use custom HTML.
3. Menu will not squeeze, looks chunky and logo is minute in relation to the rest of the menu.

Thank you for excellent product. I want to add and realise only one idea on this theme – Post rating by users. I found many plugins with user rating system but they can show Most rated posts only at sidebar widget. Please tell me, can I modify current or add new sort order to Homepage Loop Filter? Now I’m using WP-PostRatings and I saw many completed queries at their FAQ.
