After i install the demo, where can i customize it?

Update: I’m getting the following error:

tagDiv importer detected an error. The importer will try to recover and continue to install the demo after you click ok on this dialog.

Steps to troubleshoot:
– Check the permissions on your upload folder (file permissions appear to be ok)
– Please make sure that WP_DEBUG is set to false in wp-config.php (it is)
– Contact our support via email contact@tagdiv.com (please provide your product license key)

I managed to update the path in the CSS that was causing that error. Now, however I’m still left with a broken padlock. Something inside the theme is breaking the padlock as illustrated by the section “Secure Calls made to other websites”:

demo.tagdiv.com returns some sort of error) when visitors go to my webpage. My SSL is installed correctly and HTTPS is configured so I know it has nothing to do with either of those two. Do you know why I would see the padlock on the admin dashboard (i.e. logged in) but not when i’m browsing as a visitor (not logged in)?

I would really like to resolve this. I have a store on the site and consumer confidence is important to me.

In looking for a to allow the other non-code-savvy writers on the site the ability to omit the upper author meta info and the lower author bio box on any given post, I’ve come up with the following solution:

Installed the WP Add Custom CSS plugin, which puts adds an entry entry box into the Add New Post page.

Instructed authors that if they wish to omit author information, they should paste the following code into that Custom CSS box.

.td-post-author-name {
    display: none;

}

.author-box-wrap {
    display: none;
    
}

There may be a more elegant way to accomplish this, but it works for our writers…

again is a same situation would i uninstall the visual composer and clear cashe have any problem

Thank you for the reply! Actually i want to know where i can change settings of a demo after i install it. Does it create automatically a new page and i customize it from there? Or where else? Because i installed it and i wanted to make changes to images, categories, posts etc!

So, I tried to download and install the updating from Themeforest but, importing the zip file it appears this message:

“The package can not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.”

how can I solve?

You can ignore the nag screen for VC; TagDiv tries to disable that, but they keep poking people anyway.

I did install the theme two places on same domain without any problems. And after server crashed year later, had to reinstall/reactivate and still worked for same site, so “whew.” 🙂

Obviously “people on wordpress.org” don’t know what they are talking about. 🙂

I believe the demo version of theme online runs with WP Super Cache, and many folks run with that (thousands, actually) without any issue, sooooo …..

We use it here on several sites without issue.

a) looks like you might have custom styles applied to your admin area; I’ve never had “lime green” elements in my WP install in 11 years.

b) remember you need to also update the plugins included with the theme

c) make sure you check the system status page to ensure you have enough system resources allocated

d) obvious things: 1) clear your cache on website if any; 2) clear web browser cache; 3) temp disable known problems with some things like auto-optimization scripts if they impact the admin area, impact ajax or normal WordPress setup (e.g., some “admin area modification” plugins can break stuff because they have not been updated for WP 4.6 and change of things like default fonts, jquery, tinymce version, etc.)
