I have sorted it out using regular wp plugin install option, uploading plugin zip from the local dump.
I guess the issue was with hosting permissions, as it gave an error saying could not connect to the host… if that makes sense!

I’m the guy that configured this server ( http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/ ) that gets 99-100 in google page speed and since we don’t yet have a guide about how to configure the theme and server for top speed I will write here some sugestions.
If you have any questions about speed, this is the thread for you. I will make it sticky and I will check it periodically to respond to all your questions.
– the demo is running a stock Newspaper theme
– the demo uses the tagDiv speed booster plugin – basically that plugin activates the compressed javascript from the theme and it also moves all the stylesheets and javascripts to the bottom of the html. This may break compatibility with some wordpress plugins (the ones that we recommend when you install the theme are well tested and work perfectly)
The list of speed recommendations:
– we recommend that you use W3 total cache with just the full page cache module enabled. If you have a lot of ram on your server you can use the APC full page cache (if anyone is interested I can make a tutorial for that but this option requires a dedicated server)
If you have a dedicated server / VPS:
– make sure that you have APC installed or another op cache for php. We have receive some reports that eaccelerator has some problems in specific configurations with our theme and Nginx. This will reduce your server response time.
– make sure that you have compression enabled on your site for html/js/css but not for images
– leverage browser caching – https://developers.google.com/speed/docs/insights/LeverageBrowserCaching google page speed requiers that you set an expiring cache of 7 days or more

I installed the latest version 1.5.1
I have 2 problems, the first (in question) is that in the pages (not articles) do not display the comments.
The second is a problem with the function minify of W3 total cache, if enabled does not work research.
Was your bounce rate 25% or actually 0.25%? The average websites bounce rate is 40% and doesn’t have as much bearing on SERPS as you might think. This being said there could be an issue with your tracking code either now or previously that caused the difference in rates. My assumption would be the tracking code was improperly installed previously since a bounce rate of 0.25% is almost impossible.
It is likely that your bounce rate was previously closer to 80% so now you will want to use that as your baseline.

I installed the events Calendar plugin as you recommended. I tried to display the events in one of your blocks but I get only the normal wp categories to choose from for filtering.
I would like to show my events as posts. How can I do that. You said in Themeforest comments that this could work with Events Calendar.

I apologize, disregard the above. I see that it is 1024×1024, 300×300 and 150×150.
On a side note, when installing the theme with existing content; I would imagine I set these in the Media settings and save. Then from there, for the featured images; regenerate them and they will regenerate in ALL the correct dimensions for each page? When I did that with an existing featured image, it didn’t create all of the sizes so I was stuck.
How do I access the Speed Booster Plugin? Its not in the list to install and I can’t find it through the WordPress search.
I am updated to Newspaper 1.5 using the 1.4 to 1.5 update file.

I bought your theme to create a wonderful techblog, however I found a huge issue with it. When I install it on a translated WordPress (slovak), the WP-Admin displays a blank webpage and so does the rest of the administration. When I switch back to english, everything is working again.
I updated to the v.1.5 today, but that didn’t work either.

This did original work but since updating to your latest theme I get a 404 error when trying to access the sitemap at the correct address provided by Yoast plugin – http://epictutorials.com/sitemap_index.xml
How can this be fixed? It’s very important functionality for my site to have. I don’t have any caching plugins that can often cause this and all help articles I have come across point to the the theme itself as a possible culprit.

I have a trouble now, when i upload a picture to my wordpress appears croped in the big slider and in the normal slider. Previously in another installation the images works fine like in your examples in the live preview of the theme.

We have a patch from 1.3 to 1.4 if you have 1.3 installed, if now just replace all files via FTP for update to latest version 1.4.1
I need urgent help… can’t edit or create Posts or Pages.
Very frustrating.. so many errors.. got be honest, this is my last attempt to make this work properly or I’m giving up on this template. Errors in each version, things that break when you have a new version.
I did a full clean new installation after all the problems since updating 1.3.
