Okay, so the issue resurfaces after you update the theme and install any plugin, including the two official tagdiv ones.

I’m giving up and sticking to 4.5. Please fix this urgently.

I have further narrowed the issue down.

If this plugin is present: Login No Captcha reCAPTCHA

then thumbnails don’t work.

The issue is, it has to not be present during update or anytime thereafter. If I reinstall it after updating the theme, then the problem will come back, and *won’t* go away when it is then deleted.

You can delete the theme from WordPress and install the new one, the customize from pages and posts will be not remove.
But first please make a full backup and read our documentation about update the theme

wpml plugin with newspaper 9 theme - reply

Hi,

I believe you have installed the WPML Translation Management plugin
– https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/page-builders/

Our page builder will encode the page content so translating a page with this module would not be possible. Maybe this will change in the future, can’t say for sure what will happen. Sorry for any inconvenience.

The alternative is to switch the pages when the language is changed.

Clicking on the translate option will open a new page which you can build

So depending on language selected the appropriate page will be displayed. You can create a page for each language you have enabled.

I currently have the WPML Multilingual CMS and the WPML String Translation plugins installed. The WPML Translation Management plugin is not installed.

Yes, I want to set it for home page.
Thanks. I tried both options but it’s not working. There is still white space to the left and right of the “full” image. I want it to cover the entire screen width. I am not using the “old style” theme template, which I installed from the demos and customized it fully. except this part, which I can’t seem to get.

Thumbnails not appearing - reply

Images are stored in a different location in my site. Image folder is set using ‘WP Original Media Path’ plugin. This worked fine, but after reinstallation something happened. I also tried regenerate thumbnails plugin. So far nothing helped.
Images are present in posts, only thumbnails are missing. Could you please guide me?

Thanks for your reply. I’ve already fixed the issue (found a workaround)

What i noticed is that when i install the newspaper9 theme on a domain example.com
everything is working fine.
+During theme installation tagdiv composer is installed automatically (no further steps are needed) Icons are workin fine then.

But when i redirect domain example.com to another server via entry in /etc/hosts
on my local computer then
-When i install newspaper theme, tagdiv composer is not automatically installed
-Then i need to install tagdiv composer manually. Installation works fine. Tagdiv composer works, BUT ICONS are not visible

Workaround:
Install newspaper theme on the server where authoritative dns is pointing to.
Then move the all wordpress files and mysql database to another server.

Case case be closed

Hi,

Please update the tagDiv Composer, go in Newspaper plugins and update the plugins.
If this don’t work , please go themeforest, log in with your credentials and get the last theme version with all files, go in Newspaper> plugins deactivate tagdiv composer, go in theme file in plugins and delete the td composer, after that install the plugin from the folder you get from themeforest ( first unzip ) you’ll found the TD Composer in plugins.

Hello,

I changed my theme Boombox to Newspaper.

When I want to add Column Text element I can’t edit. I’m looking Chrome Inspector Console there is an error:

Uncaught ReferenceError: tdcDebug is not defined
at window.loadIframe (<anonymous>:52:6)
at onload (wpeditor.php?wp_path=/home/dijiatolye/public_html/:269)

– I tried deactive and delete tagDiv Composer
And then install again. But it didn’t.
– I tried delete theme and then install again. But it didn’t.
How can I fix that?

Hi,

That incompatibility message would appear if the composer plugin you want to install is not from the theme package from which the theme is installed.

Try installing it from the theme plugins panel

Hi,

If you have the default demo install on theme mobile you’ll see 3 blocks with the last 3 post with the featured category, and latest articles; in order to add content you’ll need to set some content in Mobile editor https://www.screencast.com/t/mkePciuBGLWi ( the mobile theme will not take the content from desktop, you need to set a new one for mobile. )

Followed all of the detailed steps – have 9.1 installed with (Version 2.3 | built on 12.10.2018 9:30) of td_composer.

Some other step I’m missing, as I still don’t see TD Menu as an external shortcode option?

Hello, I made an installation of the Newspaper theme and tagdiv composer was installed. However, when moving the wordpress installation from the demo directory to the main directory, tagdiv composer stopped working when I tried to edit the content of a page. Tagdiv does not finish loading and this code appears in the console.

Page builder on post content (not template) - topic

Hello,
I wrote my problem here https://themeforest.net/comments/20793623 and after installing the cloud library plugin I can finally edit post templates. Thank you, but my third question wasn’t really answered.
How I can actually use a pagebuilder on the post content itself? I mean not to edit a template, but for edit the post itself. For example I want to be able to insert colums in the text or add divs and change the background etc. Actually same as editing a template but editing the post content. I hope you get what I mean.
I’ve already read some other posts here in the forum which asked the same question and you say that it’s just not possible and we should use the WPBakery plugin instead. If I edit a post with that plugin, will I still be able to use the template for it + sidebar etc? Will it just edit the post content or the whole post will have an empty template and I have to build it from scratch without sidebar?
However, if I activate it, I can’t edit any post at all anymore. If I click “edit”, I just get “Error 500”. If I deactivate WPBakery, I can edit my posts again.
Do you plan to support posts-content by the TDcomposer in the future? Or at least give it support for third-party plugins like Elementor. That would be great. I don’t see any possibility to add simple things like colums, divs with bg etc. in a post right now at all. For example on other websites I always used Elementor and it worked perfectly. I could add textboxes, divs with content etc.
I have to say that it’s really disappointing for me to use Newspaper so far, since it is only possible to write simple text (with pictures) and nothing more as posts.

Thanks, I have been able to install the plugin and everything looks fine. Now the homepage list posts instead of a static page, how is this fixed? Already followed the instructions by checking static page at wp-admin Settings>Reading section.

Yes that is correct. I agree with Meon. It’s after activation you get the error and wordpress breaks. Only If you uninstall it using FTP File manager, wordpress go back to normal and the theme works without the theme composer plugin activated.

No, I’ve unzipped the whole package and the theme installs. It’s the (td-composer) plugin install that fails.
I’ve attempted to install the this plugin two ways;
1. Install from the Newspaper dashboard under the plugin tab.
2. FTP the zipped (td-composer) to the plugin folder and attempted to activate and still gets the tdc_util.php on line 592 error.

Hi Catalin,

I have used Newspaper for several projects and I am very happy with the results and your support over the years.

However, I recently was asked by a client to create an Arabic localisation of a site and so chose WPML as the plugin to go with based on your recommendations and having viewed pages from both TagDiv and WPML showing how good it looked.

I have installed WPML although I am not getting the opportunity to translate pages built with TagDiv Composer. Here is a link to the support request with WPML https://wpml.org/forums/topic/tagdiv-newspaper-theme-pages-made-with-tagdiv-composer-just-not-editable/

Unfortunately the response from WPML doesn’t acknowledge that Newspaper is officially supported and now they want FTP and WordPress access to sort the issue.

I was hoping that you guys could perhaps take a quick look at the support link above and see if you have any suggestions as to what the issue may be.
