Hi,
Anyone using the combination of last updated date on desktop and then having AMP and mobile theme for mobile users? i want to know if there was a gain or lose during the time.
My website Neopoultry has 10 sub-category iteams.
https://neopoultry.com/category/neopoultry
but In Newspaper Mobile Theme, There are 5 sub-category iteams.
Glad, I was able to help.
If you are using AMP and want your desired homepage, you can install the Mobile theme plugin and set this option in theme panel >Mobile theme > Mobile settings >> Use Mobile theme for AMP
Refer: https://prnt.sc/1ix5ygl
I hope you will find this helpful.
There are some problems with single posts in mobile version. (Mobile theme is not activated, in desktop version everything is fine)
1. Sharing icons are not shown in mobile posts. Sometimes they are shown after a single post is open for a long time.
2. Not able to remove the divider design under the Header.
3. Change the menu icon to the left.
Just disable mobile theme plugin and you will get desired homepage for mobile.
We have just made our new site using newspaper theme live however there are times when you go to the website on a desktop and instead of getting desktop view, you get the mobile view. (I have taken a snippet if needed).
From what I can tell, this seems to happen when writing new post but have not made the new post live. Once that is done, the site goes back to the desktop view
Can you let me know why this would happen?
Hello,
Seems you have the Mobile theme plugin activate, when you install and activate the Mobile Theme plugin, your pages will be overwritten by the plugin (the mobile theme comes with its own templates for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout, the page content is made without builders in mobile editor => https://www.screencast.com/t/xbgZG8kH also, the options that are provided to edit the mobile theme version are limited (this keeps the things simple)).
Better deactivate the plugin and you will have the responsive version.
Also, you can check this topic about mobile version https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/cannot-change-mobile-page-for-front-page-of-site/
Thank you!
This is because you have activate mobile theme in theme options, look for mobile theme menu in theme options and disable that ,that’ll fix it.
I Have customized the Newspaper 11 theme according to my requirements using tagDiv. It works well in the desktop version, but the changes are not reflecting in the mobile version. So kindly please fuck off
Hello!
The CSS code you need to add in Newspaper -> Theme panel -> Mobile Theme -> Custom code:
.td-category-siblings {
display: none;
}
Hope that helps you!
Thank you!
Hello Andre!
CSS Analyzer works on pages, articles and categories. You can not run it on the Mobile Theme. For example, you can enter on a page and if you see the white button(Tagdiv CSS Analyzer text) up, that means is running also on that page.
Thank you!
Hi,
I have installed the demo theme, and now I am totally unaware how to get rid of those annoying social icons on mobile view.
London News PRO – demo ID: london_news_pro | install type: no_content
Screenshot: https://prnt.sc/1ijjug5
Page Builder + Page Title is working but now I have to redo all the h1s and put is as h2s, because the page title will be the first h1 on each page which is good.
But, there is a way to do it Page Builder + Page Title for all the pages at once, not one by one?
=====================
Not working, I have deleted both pages and still I am getting the same results.
Removing the h1 from logo in theme files, the file path for desktop version is wp-content/plugins/td-standard-pack/Newspaper/parts/header/logo-h1.php and for mobile is wp-content/plugins/td-standard-pack/Newspaper/parts/header/logo-mobile-h1.php
Thank you, is there custom CSS I can add to the mobile theme section to remove the blocks?
Hello,
does the CSS Analyzer works only for the startpage of the desktop-website?
I want to use it on my mobile theme version of the site too and on the page-template. Is that possible?
Thank you and best regards
Andre
I was able to remove the text that says “create a Menu”, but the placeholder is still there. It’s not so bad on deskyop or ipad, but on phone, there is still the three-line option on the left and the search on the right. So when a use clicks on them, the screen displays some weird pink flower screen with things I don’t want. I just want to get rid of ALL that extra stuff, and only have my typeform on the site. I realize there is more to the theme than I need, but at this point I don’t want the features. How do I get rid of those things? CSS? Thanks!
Hello!
You could click on the image links to see that the mobile theme is activated. The problem is auto adsense for PC SINGLE POST TEMPLATES in Cloud Templates and AMP(MOBILE THEME) which doesn’t show up until you take 5 minutes to read the post you can’t give an answer.
Thank you for understanding!
Hello!
If you use Mobile Theme, then there are no settings to customize the pages.
Please note that if a page is made by Composer, than the content won’t be displayed on Mobile theme version: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
You have only some settings for this layout, which you can find in Theme panel -> Mobile Theme. Please note that you can not edit it with TagDiv Composer.
Thank you!
Hello!
Let me explain you which options you have:
1. Responsive version: A responsive version of your website is looking similar like on desktop, edit the page with TagDiv Composer, click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB ; there you can see your mobile version and you can edit the elements there.
2. Mobile pages: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/
3. Mobile theme plugin: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
If you want a responsive version for your mobile version, then you should uninstall the Mobile Theme plugin which has its own templates and your responsive version will appear automatically.
Please note that if a page is made by Composer, than the content won’t be displayed on Mobile theme version: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/

Hello!
Unfortunately, AMP is faster and works better only with Mobile Theme, because it is not compatible with cloud templates.
From my point of view, if you don’t use the Mobile Theme plugin, then there is no reason or benefit from AMP.
Check our documentation about this plugin here:

Hello!
I’ve checked your website, I accessed also the AMP page link from your video and it seems there is no AMP page there and the images are displayed. If you do not have TagDiv Composer, then the page should be empty.

Hello,
To remove the background image for the menu on mobile, please access Newspaper -> Theme panel -> Background -> Mobile menu/search background and remove the image from here https://www.screencast.com/t/ATV1Jr7s
Also, if you want to remove the sign-in/join from the header with tagDiv Composer => https://www.screencast.com/t/Y5j6ArY8Ug , select the element and with right-click, you can delete it => https://www.screencast.com/t/GshM3Q3nwDv
Thank you!
Hi socarrasv1,
The h1 that you are referring is on logo. The to fix this, there are more solutions.
1. To use a cloud header from tagDiv Cloud Library, this is the most used solution, and it should work with Bakery if you use the cloud only for header -> https://i.imgur.com/dZZ4nmK.png
2. Using a different page template, if you use Page Builder + Page Title as page template, then the H1 should be remove from logo when there is another in post/page content.
3. Removing the h1 from logo in theme files, the file path for desktop version is wp-content/plugins/td-standard-pack/Newspaper/parts/header/logo-h1.php and for mobile is wp-content/plugins/td-standard-pack/Newspaper/parts/header/logo-mobile-h1.php
I hope this will help you!
Let me know the results!
Hello!
If you have the Mobile theme plugin installed and active, then you can display ads, you should add the ads in Newspaper -> Theme panel -> Mobile Theme -> Mobile ads in order to display on that mobile layout.
If you have also AMP, then you have an option for the AMP ads also.
Thank you!
Hello,
This social sharing icon appears only on the mobile version. If you want it to be displayed on the desktop version, you need to use a custom CSS => https://www.screencast.com/t/w5dA10Sa
.td-social-viber{
display: inline-block;
}
The code needs to be set in Theme panel -> Custom code -> Custom CSS => https://www.screencast.com/t/fxetQe24ZHf
Hope this helps you!
Thank you!
