Hi,
We’re not using any caching plugin, just a plugin that purges the Varnish caching.
Could it have something to do with the ‘tagdiv mobile theme’ plugin?
Hi,
after a little getting used to it, I have to say that Newspaper theme is great.
However, I have two questions about the mobile theme:
1.) I do not want to display two specific categories in the mobile theme. How can I exclude them?
2.) Display advertising – do I use the normal Adrotate shortcodes?
Hi!
Thanks for response!
I do everything, i have installed and well configured wp super cache plugin but the problem persist. I see the desktop version on mobile device again when mobile theme is active.
I have varnish cache in the server, could it be the problem?
Thanks again!!
Hi,
I am trying to update mobile theme footer logo, content etc., but there is no option in changing that. Anyone can help me sort this thing out?
Hi,
The mobile version is look like that because you have the mobile theme plugin that provide you a better speed then responsive version of theme, but in order to achieve that speed you’ll need to create a new content for pages because in the most of cases those were made with builders ( tagDiv Composer, WPBakery ) and you need to use only the mobile editor ( you need to set the content for pages in mobile editor and this content will be display on mobile theme)
-> https://www.screencast.com/t/ebUIzt4se
If you want, you can show the responsive version on mobile theme -> http://prntscr.com/oh6r2s you can check more details about mobile theme in our documentation -> https://tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-get-mobile-ready-with-newsmag-theme/
Thank you!
Hi!
I have the v9.8 template version and my problem is that the mobile home version appears on desktop, not only in mobile device.
If i deactivate mobile theme in home page composer, in that case appears the desktop version in home mobile ¿?.
I need mobile home only in mobile device and desktop home only in desktop, logically.
Whats wrong? Am i doing something wrong?
Thanks!!! 🙂
Hello !
Unfortunately that is not possible when using the Mobile Theme.
We are sorry for the inconvenience !
Thank you !

Hello !
The designs do not match because you are using the mobile theme. The Mobile theme was specially designed for optimization on mobile devices. Unfortunately on mobile theme you cannot do much changes of design. If you want to have the same design as on desktop mode you can achieve that by simply disabling the mobile theme.
You will have to recreate your pages into the Mobile editor.
Also you can disable mobile theme on certain pages or posts by following this setting:
Please take a look here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Thank you !
Hi IBurakCetinkaya,

Since Newspaper v9.7.4 you can show the responsive version on mobile theme -> http://prntscr.com/oh6r2s you can check more details about mobile theme in our documentation -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
So in order to have the same layout you can disable the mobile theme plugin or set the homepage on responsive version.
Thank you for your understanding!
I have installed the AMP plugin before implementing the Newspaper theme and I just recently activated the mobile theme for AMP but as the test shows again. It is not an AMP page.
Kindly look on to this
Hello,
Mega Menu in this template does not suit me, I need a mega menu with columns in the center of the drop down not in the far left with the pic posts in the right side like it is now. Something like this one http://www.sport24.gr
Can I made this mega menu like I want or do I need to install third party? Because some of the third party I tried doesn’t blend well with this template i need to custom Css the margins of the container, my logo conflicts with them, mobile menu of this theme sits atop of the third party etc…
I’ve deactivated non-theme plugins and this changes nothing. How do I get featured images to show in post lists? http://www.kindling.xyz
3. How i can hide widgets on mobile version of theme?
Hi all,
Running the latest version of the theme. I have full width buttons on the website at the moment. However on mobile the button text gets cut off depending on width. Not sure what CSS needs to be applied to fix this?
Standard display:

Mobile width:
https://ibb.co/x7CLCzf
‘Newspaper’
‘Theme Panel’
‘Post Settings’
SHOW AUTHOR NAME – Disabled
SHOW AUTHOR BOX – Disabled
I did that, but it still seems.

Hi,
Please make sure that you check this option in amp settings -> http://prntscr.com/pnd0re in this way you’ll have only the amp version with the mobile design.
Hope this will help you!
Thank you!

Hi,
The mobile theme is a plugin that helps to achieve a better speed on mobile devices, but for the moment there are not very much customization that you can do on it -> https://i.imgur.com/HOsZPZY.png
If you want a better design and more control over it, you can use the responsive version.
Since Newspaper v9.7.4 you can show the responsive version on mobile theme -> http://prntscr.com/oh6r2s you can check more details about mobile theme in our documentation -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
You can change the logo place by changing the header style -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/header-styles/ from theme panel -> https://i.imgur.com/7UncbXL.png or for more control you can use a cloud header from tagdiv Cloud Library and you can edit it using tagDiv Composer.
Thank you!
Hello !
1. That can be achieved by going into Theme panel – Background: https://www.screencast.com/t/SZXgLv528C
2. You will have to edit the header using the tagDiv Composer, select the Sticky Mobile Menu and remove all the content from it: https://www.screencast.com/t/tgQTMVi76R9
Thank you !
Okay, I think I was able to implement the Mobile theme for just AMP
