All is well with this theme (love it) but I’m having an issue with “load more” in two sections. The icon spins as though it’s going to load but nothing happens on desktop. Oddly enough, it works fine on mobile. I’ve even tried changing it to next/prev Ajax and the same issue persists.
I can provide a link to my page in development so you can see it in person if need be (and to get a grasp of my setup).
Dear support team,
While trying to hide a mobile login container, which seems to be conditionally displayed depending on whether ‘tds_login_mobile’ setting is equal to ‘hide’ or not, I couldn’t find a reliable way to set it to ‘hide’.
I tried Export’ing theme settings from Theme Panel, base64-decoding it, then unserializing the settings with PHP and adding the ‘tds_login_mobile’ setting to be equal to ‘hide’, serializing and base64-encoding it again and importing it back to the Theme Panel, but it seems that it didn’t work, perhaps because the theme stores the settings on whitelist-basis, ignoring my attempt 🙂
What would you recommend for hiding the login container in mobile menu?
Hiding it with CSS is not an option for me, since the container attempts to display ‘get_avatar()’ picture and for some reason generates bogus URLs like “/mm” which cause errors in Dev Tools console.
As always, trying to provide you as much technical details as possible.
Yours kindly,
Eric
I am not an expert so i have my website on wordpress.com. After the recent Newspaper-Update my website ( https://ipad-in-der.schule ) went straight down.
First of all the tagDiv Composer and tagDiv Mobile Theme were deactivated, WordPress told that they are not compatible with the WordPress version.
I contacted WordPress-Support and they also told me they cannot reactivate the plugins.
The website at this point only showed the template and code instead of content – but the design was still visible.
Guided by the WordPress-Support i rewinded the website to a point four days ago (before the update) which leaded to a total breakdown of the website. During the process i got an email with the message “Ein Fehler vom Typ E_COMPILE_ERROR wurde in der Zeile 14 der Datei /srv/htdocs/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/functions.php verursacht. Fehlermeldung: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘td_deploy_mode.php’ (include_path=’/:.’)”.
Now, the website is down and WordPress-Support could not help me anymore. They told me to contact you.
What can i do?
This is really bad as i put a lot of work in my website and after the update i just went down…
Is there any workaround to fix this problem?
When using Smart lists recently, I selected the “Smart List 4”, which is supposed to create a one Page List with the pictures offset to the right. I had a list of 24 players, and on desktop, the list looked just fine. Unfortunately, on the mobile theme, it created a pagination type list and the reader had to click next every time. Needless to say, a list that size, it becomes a tedious task to click thru 24 pages. I removed it and just went back to a standard post. Is this how it’s supposed to work? For long lists, it seems a bit over the top.
Dear support team,
while moving my child theme into a plugin and testing it, I discovered that there are calls to
locate_template() instead of require_once() in the following file:
td-composer/legacy/Newsmag/parts/menu-mobile.php
My guess is that it’s a bug since you replaced all the ‘locate_template’s with ‘require_once’s elsewhere.
Since I am customizing that part of the theme, I though I would share, and hope that can help you make this theme even better.
Cheers,
Eric
We do not want to use mobile theme hence we deactivated it.
Same desktop theme is loading with responsive in mobile perfectly. Content is also populating withing a seconds. But the problem is images are taking time more than minutes to load.
Can you let me know what I have missed in settings, or is there other ways to fix it ?
Thanks in advance.
Hi newspaper team,
Are you aware of a bug on mobile theme, the burger menu doesn’t work. It just slightly shrink the actual page but does not open the menu . Is it an issu known or a css problem on my website ?
thanks
David
Resolved! What if I disable Mobile theme and install a famous AMP plugin which is widely used ( https://wordpress.org/plugins/accelerated-mobile-pages/). In that, I love some templates which are more attractive than tag Div mobile theme. It will be fine ? If i do ? I wish some more mobile theme templates need to be added. You have dozens of Desktop templates. But not for Mobile.
When im activating mobile theme and removed mobile theme plugin my desktop version is transfer automatically to mobile version how to solve
Hi Support team,
im using your newspaper premium theme and i installed mobile and also amp plugin but when i open my website in mobile device it’s not showing mobile version what is the problem?
Hello !
The Mobile theme was specially designed for optimization on mobile devices. Unfortunately on mobile theme you cannot do much changes of design. If you want to have the same design as on desktop mode you can achieve that by simply disabling the mobile theme: https://tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-automatic-optimization-for-mobile-newspaper-theme/
Thank you !
Hi,
From what I can see in the website page sources there are no links to AMP. The mobile theme is active, that would mean that this is the option selected in the theme panel
– http://prntscr.com/nvwykl
If the mobile theme and AMP plugins are active, and one of the two other settings is selected in the theme panel, there should be AMP available, like this example
– http://prntscr.com/nvx0tq
Thanks
Hi,
Thank you can insert the code in Theme panel>Mobile theme>Analytics there you can set the code using the <script> tags.
Hope this will help you!
Thanks.
Hi,
So the mobile theme is loading on desktop? In almost all cases this issues is caused by various caching plugins. But currently after browsing the website, it doesn’t seem to be happening anymore.
We recommend the WP super cache where possible, this will not cause such problems
– https://tagdiv.com/wp-super-cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
From what I can see at the moment, the mobile theme is set to apply only for AMP
– https://stackrackal.com/oneplus-7-pro-android-q/?amp
That would be this setting – http://prntscr.com/nvuwtr
I have tested the validity of an AMP post, there is 1 error
– http://prntscr.com/nvuxr0
This may happen if you are entering code in this section – http://prntscr.com/nvuy2e which is not a valid auto AMP ad code. The code should be like this – http://prntscr.com/nvuyuw
Please check if that is the case.
Thanks
Hi folks,
I’ve just installed the mobile theme and I want to clean up some of the sections (I’ve been searching through the forum here but can’t find a solution)
How do I go about:
– Hiding the breadcrumbs
– Hiding the category
– Hiding the author
– Adding a black line below the logo to add some seperation
Any help would be great.
Keith
Hello again,
You were right. There was a plugin conflict with Envira Gallery plugin.
After installing the tagDiv Mobile Theme you have to deactivate Envira Gallery, activate tagDiv Mobile Theme and them reactivate Envira.
Now is working fine!!!
Thx
Hi Guys
I would like some help. None of the recent updates have been working well on my site, for the past 6 months have had to use the old version. I’ve tried everything from shutting plugins off and resintalling them. I’ve also checked with my server settings and comparing another website where the theme works perfectly, im literally at a stand still and need your help.
My website at http://www.AccraFashionWeek.org can not differentiate from a laptop browser to a mobile browser. When viewing on a laptop it presents itself as if it was a mobile. More of the hidden object in mobile broswers show on laptops and visa versa. Only in the old themes is this not an issue, meaning I can not execute any theme updates. Can you help look at the issue for me?
Hi
Since updating the site with the latest theme, the menu on the mobile doesn’t display subcategories. Seems fine on the desktop version. Please let me know the solution. Am sure I just need to tweak something somewhere. Many thanks
Ian

Hello !

Hi,
Please try this custom css for this problem -> https://www.screencast.com/t/9bmnrXXto
.td-mobile-content .td-icon-menu-right {
display: block;
}
Set the code in Newspaper> Theme panel>Custom code> Advance css > in phone section, clear all cache and try again.
Thank you!
Hi Calin,
thanks for the reply.
The theme is installed correctly. The mobile folder location is placed exactly as shown in your screenshot.
We’ve checked “td_walker_mobile_menu.php” file and tried to use a “depth” variable but it seem there is a recurring problem.
To summarize one more time…we have 3 levels of categories (main categories, subcategories and sub-sub categories).
It seems that there is a limit on maximal number of categories that could be displayed within mobile menu.
We’ve experimented with “depth” levels using values 0-4.
We’ve also tried to increased the number of categories using “depth” variable within “td_walker_mobile_menu.php” file but with no luck.
Is there any other way to increase the number of subcategories (that is second level or level below main categories or subcategories) that could be displayed within mobile menu?
I installed WPLM Plugin and integrated a language switcher into my top bar. The desktop version is doing great but on the mobile version the language switcher does not show up. The same happens when I move it into the main menu. The theme should be supported for this plugin. How can the language switcher be visible on a mobile menu?

Hi,
You need to set that code for mobile ads in Theme panel>Mobile Theme > AMP Analytics -> https://www.screencast.com/t/eaj9E3xDVRk also the code for desktop need to be set in Theme panel>Analytics -> https://www.screencast.com/t/26SmCckQ
Thank you!
Continue to the above problem! Please read patiently. I have enabled AMP with Mobile Theme of Newspaper. When we select AMP from the theme panel. You won’t get to see the mobile theme at all even Mobile Theme plugin is installed, When you select AMP+MOBILE you will get to see Mobile them in Mobile. Moreover I cannot see AMP symbol in Google Search, why??????
