You would need to either
a) switch to desktop view in Chrome mobile browser
b) create a javascript switch button to load the desktop CSS over mobile version — you’d have to hire somebody to make that for you, if you don’t know what that means
Theme does not support “view switch” — as it’s setup to “look for mobile” device, based on the device sending notice that it’s mobile, then serve the mobile version. This is why Chrome and some other mobile browswers let you send the notice it’s pretending to be a desktop device to serve that layout instead.
Not sure that helps – just some background.
For example on the iphone there is a button “request desktop version” of site built-in.
Hello Aminul Islam,
Please notice that the mobile theme is an optional plugin which can be used or not. When the plugin is activated, the theme will be switched in mobile theme version. So, if you want to get back to the general responsive version, you simply disable this plugin and the theme will be automatically switched to this default mode. For more information about our mobile theme, please consult the documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Thanks for the message!
Hi Bogdan,
Thank you for your reply.
Just to rephrase my question. I’ve tried to use shortcode in posts, for mobile theme, and they don’t appear. Tried custom shortcodes I created, and the default ones from WP. Both not visible.
Do i need to enable shortcodes for mobile?
& Can I please have an example of a default shortcode and custom shortcode which you know will work?
Thank you.
Hello,
You can try to do it, but we have not tested this. In fact fb comments are not officially tested on desktop either. We just tried them out to help our users but the fb comments were never officially tested and approved with our theme. You will have to test them out on the mobile theme as I cannot say for sure they will work or not.
Thank you!
Hi,
Well unfortunately our theme does not have any such option neither desktop nor mobile. There is no option to add a custom block on all pages or posts at once especially on the mobile theme as the options are very limited on the plugin and it does not use visual composer. It will ignore any VC shortcode.
Thank you!
Thanks! The problem is solved, we just have to deactivate the Mobile Theme plugin 😉
Hello xanamorales,
Unfortunately, I cannot access your website. Please provide a valid URL of your website so I can inspect it closer. Do you are using the Mobile Theme concept? Notice that the homepage for the mobile theme is too different than the desktop version and mobile responsive version. First of all, please consult our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ To exclude any conflicts in theme, please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme packet. Also, if the problem is still there, please make a new clean install from scratch and install only the required plugins, purge all CDN files if you are using the CDN system and check the results.
Thanks for the message!
Hello Johan,
Sorry for the delay because yesterday we have had a problem with our forum and that’s why you did not get any response, sorry!
If you want to change the logo for mobile section you should check the Theme panel, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/XaJK6GMSgilQ For more information about Logo on mobile, please consult here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/logo-favicon/
If is not what you mean, please provide more details so I will be able to provide a more accurate response.
Thanks for the message!
I found the thread where to add the FB Comment JS to the header.php and the signpost.php files and all is working. My question is, should I also edit the mobile/header.php and paste the JS from FB there as I did the header.php?
Thank you!
Loving the theme!!!
Hello all,
If you want to add some content to your page in mobile theme, you should add it in Mobile Editor from your Visual Composer editor, at the very bottom of the page, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/I0oeNrVL For more information about our mobile theme concept, please consult here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Thanks for the message!
Hi, we are Digital Biz Magazine (http://www.digitalbizmagazine.com/). We work with your theme in our website and recently we noticed that something wrong is happening with the mobile version of the Newspaper 7 theme. On the one hand, the homepage doesn’t appear on the mobile version with our sections design; on the other hand, the fonts we choose don’t appear correctly on the mobile version.
I hope you could help us. Thank you so much.
Xana
Hi,
You can find the Mobile Theme in the /plugins folder(where all the theme’s files are included) from the theme package that you download from themeforest – http://screencast.com/t/RqYN1J03TOSJ – https://forum.tagdiv.com/whats-included/
Please note that the Mobile Theme is an optional plugin, the theme is already responsive and it has a mobile version. If you want to use the plugin please go through the documentation first – https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
And if you have any other questions please open anew topic in Newspaper section – https://forum.tagdiv.com/forum/newspaper/
Thanks!
Hi,
Thanks Chris for your great help! You have the crown!
@tricell Most probably a plugin conflicts with the theme’s javascript and that’s why you get this issue with mobile menu. I suggest to disable all you plugins except Visual Composer, clear all you caches and purge your files if you use CDN and check again if it the issue persist. If it works please enable your plugins one by one and see which one cause this problem and disable it or try to find an alternative.
Thanks!
Hello, We use the below method for ordering mega menu items on our site, but this method doesn’t work on mobile. We can’t order menu item with this method on mobile menu.
Could you help us if its possible to make it with the same or another method? Thanks a lot.
Normally we use order by ‘slug’ method which you mentioned another post.
THIS THE POST OF YOUR METHOD.
Regarding your second request, this is the order of the subcategories(alphabetical). There is not option to change this from settings, but you can modify the code, just add this order in td_block_mega_menu.php file – http://screencast.com/t/1Kk6ybz4C so you can order subcategories by slug – http://screencast.com/t/NpeWAblc – http://screencast.com/t/hOubcKikgUE
‘orderby’=>’slug’
Newsmag has no mobile theme.
For Newspaper, you can find it in the “all files” download from your ThemeForest account.
Download the ‘all files’ folder, unzip it, and you will find all the additional files and folders in addition to the main theme zip. Good idea to keep this for reference and future use, explore the info, etc.
I got Newspaper but it is asking suggesting Mobile Theme, it says to download it from here:
Newspaper-tf\plugins\td-mobile-plugin.zip
But from what site? Does anyone have the exact location to download mobile theme?
Thanks Chris. We had not run WP Optimize in a while. It appears that after doing so, the old articles/site design has disappeared.
We are still having the issue of images not appearing on mobile devices in regards tagdiv_theme.min.js.
Well… if the old content is not actually there, and your dbase is optimized, and the info shows up on a mobile device, perhaps problem with mobile device cache not cleared.
It’s technically impossible for a site to show defunct content if no longer in dbase as dynamic site, unless it’s been “cached” someplace, like opcache, mod_pagespeed, CDN, Varnish, cache plugin, etc.
Obviously if you load up an old version of site layout, with, say content in old categories, no longer updated, that old content would show up again.
Do you have same issue switching to a default theme, view on mobile device? Then, reactivate this theme, visit again on mobile device?
Have you done normal house keeping like
a) optimize dbase to clear transients, such as with wp-optimize
b) resave permalinks to clear temp WP redirect cache
c) checked your site via FTP to see if you still have a caching folder with cached files
d) checked your htaccess file to see if you have links to cached files or cache redirects leftover from caching system?
All that can possibly be culprit.
How i can add content on pages in mobile theme? For example: If I have the menu page sport, I would love to be there all the articles from the category sport.
pic1: https://postimg.org/image/l9audqfex/
pic2: https://postimg.org/image/n49vudbff/
I know that i cant use shortcode, but i need something like “Latest Article”(on homepage-mobile theme) on other pages, but to be of a certain category.
Thank you!
Hello,
We are receiving a Javascript (jquery) error inside of tagdiv_theme.min.js (line 165) that applies only to small-screen devices.
The website does not load images on mobile devices and does not allow the menu to work.
We have reinstalled WordPress, deleted and reinstalled all plugins, disabled all plugins, cleared caches, reintalled the latest theme and nothing is fixing the issue.
Also, since day one of installing the theme, when the website is refreshed on any device, it loads the original content from day one launch. So one year later, it displays the correct content, but when refreshed, the old content appears, including posts/site design/menu.
Please advise.
We also request you make this support request private.
Hello Krizzi78,
I have inspected your website and I saw that you are using the mobile theme to display your posts to the mobile mode. Your page is created with Visual Composer and please notice that the mobile theme do not recognize the Visual Composer shortcodes and that’s why does not display anything. For more information about mobile theme, please check our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello,
In order to use shortcodes in the mobile theme you have to place them inside of your post content if for posts you want to have them, or in the mobile editor on pages.
(There is a second editor in page edit)
Thank you!
Hello,
Unfortunately the mobile theme only shows 1 smart list type. The one you mention. No matter what smart list you choose on desktop. It is the way the mobile theme shows smart lists. Please read this guide top learn more about the mobile theme: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
It is an optional plugin so you only have to use it if you want to. The theme is also responsive without the mobile theme plugin.
Thank you!
Hello Raseki,
I have inspected your website and I notice that your Thumbnails still working fine on mobile, as you can see here -> http://screencast.com/t/sVSqnK5ca0c If the problem will appear, please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme packet and rule out any conflicting plugins.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello,
The mobile theme will require you to add content to your mobile editor on pages. Please follow this guide toi learn about the mobile theme functionality: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
As for the update of visual composer please follow this link: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
