Hello,
When using either UberMenu or Mega Menu (plugin to have extra options unlike what comes with theme), the mobile menu shows up on the home page AS WELL AS the responsive “fly-out.”
Above the responsive break point is fine. Uber or Mega replace as intended, but the mobile version is completely duplicated (fly out AND on home page).
What do I need to do here? Thanks.
Here’s the URL. elitesportsny.com
….but I’m continuing to mess with it, so don’t judge based on what the mobile menu looks like (just in case I went back to the stock menu.
Hi,
Google Webmaster reports this error /search/ point to a page not found…
It could also redirect /search/ to another page, but in terms of seo even this does not seem a good idea.
What other solution to eliminate it in the page code?

Hi,
Did you enabled top menu from Theme Panel? – http://screencast.com/t/IE1skPN9PlQO as I have checked your site and the top menu is not visible also on desktop, that css help you to show it on mobile devices(where is hidden) – http://screencast.com/t/ce6z8jXRAZSv
Please check if you have this issue with smartsidebar also without any plugins active, leave only Visual Composer active and clear cache. Also test it without js/css minification.
About loading time please test your pagespeed https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/ and try to fix those errors. You can find out more about this in our documentation – https://forum.tagdiv.com/page-speed-guide/ and also Christopher topic help – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tutorial-chriss-custom-optimizations-for-functions-php-etc/
Thanks!

Hi there again:
i was asking more fore the way to switch the Menu icon for the basics you include in the newspaper theme (the House, the 3 lines, the cubes, the arrow, etc…).
As you can see in my site http://www.pacmac.es on a mobile device, the menu icon are the cubes, but i rather the lines and i would love to change it.
thanks
Hi,
Unfortunately theme doesn’t have a block/module to achieve this on mobile screens, sorry for inconvenience!
Thanks!

my question now is:

it would be great if u can help me for that!
we really wanted to this.
thank you!
Hi,
Make sure you follow Alin’s instructions from previous message and configure the top menu as you want it then use the custom css in theme panel > custom css section to display the top menu on mobile screens also: http://screencast.com/t/YFfRs3Z2m
Make sure you do this and provide your site’s ulr so we can inspect it.
Thanks
Good afternoon:
I have the Newspaper theme, and I see that in mobile phones widgets appear first, and then the last posts (in the case of the homepage) or the post title (in the case of individual posts). I do not know how to handle this so that the content is a priority to the side widgets, such as advertising or other type ‘text or html’.
I hope you can give me solution, thank you very much.
Hi,
Do you want to display top menu on mobiles as it was not designed for mobile screen and it hidden there. You ca try this custom css in Theme Panel > Custom Css to display top menu on mobile: http://screencast.com/t/vxH9YTZTX8V2
.td-header-top-menu {
display: block;
}
If this is not what you mean please provide more details.
Thanks!
Hey Lucian,
I’ve check with a few friends and they all say that my site looks alright now. This is what we all see:
http://www.screencast.com/t/11inp7dbS
Can you clear your cookies and cache of your browser and check to see if that is what you see?
I replaced my style.css code with the original, not minified – when I minify my style.CSS code, the mobile site completely messes up – do you know why? It appears as the above. It is recommended to minify in Chris’ pagespeed post (he outlines how to do it) – but it makes the mobile theme un-useable.
Hi,
I don’t recommend to reduce to decrease this padding as it is part of the grid width. Modify it you will need to modify also the width of the theme. Unfortunately Newspaper has an fixed grid layout, responsive as it is fluid and style for desktop/tables/mobile screens. So changing the width would not be easy as it needs changing the width value for all elements on pages and for this you would need custom work.
Thanks!
Presuming you placed relative link to the logo in the theme panel, for both desktop and mobile logos?
Some of these things don’t always work in local environment, depending on how you have your paths setup, etc.
Not having this issue on any of my sites, but yours may be setup in some odd way. Kind of hard to check since your website not yet live to test.
Try deleting the logo file in the theme folder to see if you even have the paths correct. Check paths to where you’re placing the new logo to see if logo location resolves.
When you go back to theme panel does it show preview of your logo once you’ve selected it ? If not, paths likely wrong.
Just a thought. Usually a caching issue, however, hence my comment. (SOrry). 🙂
Hi,
Those divs are recommend for non adsense code.
If you want to disable ads on mobiles you have an option in Theme Panel > Ads: http://screencast.com/t/IkYvbW6E
Thanks!

var td_ad_background_click_target=””;
var td_ajax_url=”http://www.site.com/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php”;

Any suggestion?

Hi,
A solution will be to add a link to your menu and display an image(logo) there – http://screencast.com/t/VE5x0uBDJ
Now you need to hide it on main menu and show it only for sticky menu via custom css(using menu item unique class) and also hide mobile logo that is used by default in sticky menu: http://screencast.com/t/UbdA7KAqv
For mobile screens will remain mobile logo that you have set in Theme Panel: http://screencast.com/t/LqFLma80C
@media (min-width: 768px){
.td-main-menu-logo.td-logo-sticky {
display: none;
}
}
.sf-menu .menu-item-1707{
display: none
}
.td-affix .menu-item-1707 {
display: block;
}
.menu-item-1707 img {
max-width: 50px;
max-height: 40px;
}
Thanks!
A lighter theme for mobiles would be great, without the whole code of the Desktop-Site. That would speed up the whole thing!!! 🙂
Just my two cents.
Btw…can you tell us some improvements/features you guys have on your list for the next update?
Hi,
We have it on our list but i cannot provide a release date for this, we didn’t decided yet how the mobile section will be improved, we may add some option to enable/disable widgets or the possibility to set a lighter theme for mobiles, or maybe something else. We’re still looking for the best solution.
Thank you, Emil G.
Hi,
The theme is responsive, designed different for mobiles and the content is the same for mobiles as it is for desktop screens so when using post template 3 the 1074px wide thumbnail is used which on mobile is set to fit to the whole width of the viewport therefore the image thumb is compressed on mobiles.
Unfortunately that’s how this works when using post template 3. Sorry for the inconvenience!
Thanks

Hi,
td-post-sidebar class is used on posts so if your post’s sidebar is hidden on mobile then adding this class in your page template will also hide the latest articles sidebar. So feel free to use it like that, it is a good solution.
I also checked you site again and I see that you have added this class in page template homepagesidebar, this also can be used if you want this. Just paste this custom css in Theme Panel > Custom css:
@media (max-width: 767px) {
.homepagesidebar {
display: none !important;
}
}
Thanks!
This all worked fine, until I installed and activated the tag-div speedbooster plugin.
After activating this plugin, the fix doesn’t appear.
Note: I applied the above fix on the ADVANCED CSS part for all the orientations except of mobile. That is desktop, tablet portrait, tablet landscape
If I disable the speedbooster plugin, the fix for the extra height goes back to normal and appears as it should.
Any advice please?

Hi,
The top menu was not designed for mobile screens that’s why is hidden so displaying it you may need some other modification.
Please use this custom css in Theme Panel > Custom Css to display top menu – http://screencast.com/t/BpCkgRzGa
@media (max-width: 767px){
.td-header-top-menu {
display: block;
}
}
Thanks!
I’m using post style 3 and that featured image size is 1074 x 483, which is fine for desktop. But when I debug my site on mobile I see that the featured image size used on the posts is still the 1074 x 483 size. Shouldn’t the theme be using a smaller image size, since mobile screen aren’t bigger than 767px? I’ve regenerated all thumbnails and image crop on post settings is on. Is the mobile featured image supposed to be that big? The featured image on mobile could easily be one of the smaller sizes generated by the theme! Loading those big images on mobile has a negative impact on page speed and uses more bandwith over time!!
