Hi, I have one minor issue with Newspaper + tagdiv mobile theme plugin on mobile device.

Sometimes (maybe 2/3 cases) it show correct mobile version according to plugin, sometimes it shows normal version of the website according to theme (which is mobile too but not based on the plugin). I noticed this already several months ago but still cannot determine what is the reason for it.

It is no big deal but I wonder why it happens. Anyone has similar experience?

Hello,

The category grid is not the same one as the homepage grid. The homepage will show 3 featured posts while the category page shows the first 3 posts from that category. There is no simple method to remove the top post from the mobile category pages. Sorry.

Thank you!

Hello unidivers,

Do you are using the Mobile Theme plugin? If you are using this plugin for mobile viewport, this is normal behavior because the Mobile Theme does not recognize the Visual Composer shortcode.
I suppose that you do not understand very good how mobile theme works, right? So, please notice that this theme concept intend to display a Big Grid feature at the top of homepage which shows the posts which are included in Featured category, then will show a text which you added in Mobile Editor in Visual Composer from backend and at the very bottom of the page you will bring the Latest Articles module. Please keep in mind that the Mobile Theme do not recognize the Visual Composer shortcode and that’s why you did not get the demo style for mobile theme. So, for more information about our mobile theme, please check the documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ If you are unhappy with this layout, and if you want to have the similar structure with our demo mobile, you will simply turn off the mobile plugin and the theme will be automatically switched to the general responsive mobile mode.

Thanks for your understanding!

Hello,
Please provide a link to your site so I can inspect this issue. Does it happen on all mobile devices or only on these particular models you are referring to?
Thank you!

We have 3 pages in the Footer Menu and the Footer Menu Mobile (menu name: td_demo_footer menu). The pages are “Käyttöehdot”, “Palaute / artikkelivinkki” and “Tietoja Vastavalkeasta”.

Links to the pages can be seen in our front page – please see the bottom right-hand corner at
https://vastavalkea.fi/

The problem is that when the links are tapped in mobile phones, the linked pages do not open. This has happened in all mobile phones I and othees have tested the page links with.

What could be the problem?

Hi,

If you mean the mega menu feature, that was created for and works only on desktop. The mobile theme has a simple menu with drop down capabilities, and was designed for speed and the best performance on mobilehttps://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ Maybe other users have different implementations or customization and are willing to share them.

Thanks

Hello,

on my site (http://preview.anywhere.cz/fishinglive/www) when I look at the mobile theme everything is as it should be, meaning that there are three featured articles and when I go to next (second) page there are no featured articles at the beginning.

If I go to a certain category (http://preview.anywhere.cz/fishinglive/www/category/clanky/) I get those top 3 featured images on top of every page.

How do I prevent this?

Thank you.

Hello,

@vortihk
Your problem with the menu originates from the implementation method used on the icons. Please do not use the css implementation. Use the html implementation. That means do not add a css class here: https://www.screencast.com/t/qaV280ypH Use the font awesome html implementation adding the code next to the menu item title.

@rmothie
your problem is not the menu. You do not have a problem at all. It;s the default implementation of the mobile theme. You simply did not add mobile content for the pages. Please read this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/

Thank you!

Hello
When I load my site in an android web view on android versions 16-21, there is a color problem, looking like the menu is opened(But It isn’t) and the text is invisible. It happens when a single post is clicked. Its not in the list and HomePage.
I disabled the Mobile theme, But the problem was still there.
Devices were, Lenovo Tablet with API 18 and Experia with api 16.

Hello all,

I am creating a Landing-Page with the Image Slider for the mobile version.

The default setting of the navigation is white for the arrows and grey for the circles.
This is not easy to see and i wonder if there is a function to change the color.

So far i couldn´t find it. Any info – also if not possible – appreciated.

Regards,
Christian

Hi,

The mobile theme is optional and you can choose not to use it, as the theme already has a responsive design. The mobile theme comes with a predefined layout to optimize speed and performance. You can find more information in the theme documentation – https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/

Thanks

Hello,

Maybe it’s just my ignorance but I can’t seem to have a user friendly navigation for woocommerce categories within the mobile plugin theme.

For desktop it’s quite easy as I can place categories links in the menu (mega menu) but for mobile, its different.

I wonder if anyone has been able to build a user friendly navigational menu for woo commerce category links.

All help would be appreciated.

Hello,

Didn’t see this covered in a previous topic — sorry if I missed it.

I’m using Revolution Slider on the Newspaper theme at full width. However, on a computer my website has a background colour (i.e. it isn’t full screen). So I lose the navigation arrows on my slider at full screen. Is there any way to fix this? If I just increase the horizontal offset on the arrows they become unusable on a tablet or mobile. I have tried aligning the offset to both the slider and the layer grid with no luck. Anyone else run into this issue? ideas to fix it?

Thanks a million.

Hello,

If you use the mobile theme plugin, please read the guide about what it does and what implementation is required for pages: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/

Hi Catalin,
The eternal problem with the Speed Booster plugin is not how Google interprets/see the code, the problem is in the Speed Booster coding.

Please talk with your developer and look seriously a little closer to the problem because all that warnings are related with the Google fonts implemented in this plugin, “Speed Booster”.

Examples of rendering blocking and when appear:

  • since I bought your theme, I remove completely any Google font and never I receive that warning; if I use your default font or any other, yes I receive warnings about render blocking.
  • when featured image is disabled for posts
  • when blockquote is used in comments
  • when the post have too much comments (more than 200)

I hope this information arrives to your developer.

I’ve always used your theme without any other untested plugin (only Yoast Premium, Visual Composer & Speed Booster), not even WP Super Cache.

I have to say that removing the Google font, allways we had 99/100 score (both PC & mobile) into PageSpeed Insights and the site charge in 0,4 sec.

Maybe your developers will implement some default option to disable the Google fonts from the panel settings (I think we are many users that keep asking for this).

¡Thank you and best to all!
