Thanks for the response. It works. Any suggestions on how to change ‘By’ to my own language? It’s only wrong on the mobile theme.
You can setup AMP easily with the official AMP plugin. Yoast has created a simple guide to follow:
https://yoast.com/setting-up-wordpress-for-amp-accelerated-mobile-pages/
https://yoast.com/wordpress-amp-part-ii/
It’s very simple to do and AMP url’s work with this theme easily.
Thanks for your dedicated answer 🙂
1- The problem is, that i want (obviously) the sidebar in the desktop version. But i dont want it on the mobile version.
The code you provided will delete the sidebar everywhere, right? I want the clean version of the post pages ONLY in mobile. Is that possible?
2- Thanks, ill do that for sure 🙂
Hi
First we would like to thank you for your kind words, we really appreciate your feedback.
1. Mobile theme was intent to display a very simple version of each page, that’s why there is no support for shortcodes. Unfortunately there is no way to keep the mobile theme active only for posts, sorry. It is simpler to leave it inactive if you want a more complex homepage and hide the sidebars from posts using css. The code will be this one:
@media(max-width: 768px){
.td-main-sidebar {
display: none!important;
}
}
2. This happens because the code from theme panel applies after the one from style.css. When the page loads the browser call the style.css then the custom code generated by the theme. To avoid that delay you can insert any custom css directly in style.css file, like this will be applied faster: http://screencast.com/t/DGiO8j434 You can also remove the code which generate the unwanted icons from td_module_single.php: http://screencast.com/t/7WQFRQpQ0 – http://screencast.com/t/irISkSPT
3. Indeed is not recommended to add google ads in smart sidebar but unfortunately current implementation won’t allow content above smart sidebar, sorry.
Thanks!
I fixed every thing. The only thing is #td-mobile-nav , just help me to fix this div and make it compatible with rtl.
Thanks
In mobile version appear all ok.
Hi, i have just noticed, since i updated my site that i have no thumbs on my mobile site when viewed on my android phone, it says enable thumbs from block/module, and i have sign in turned off but it is still there and my ads have disappeared…..ive reinstalled mobile plugin and regenerated thumbs and rechecked all sliders in theme panel but it still remains the same?
thanks
Hello sniperetn,
Please notice that the Mobile Theme is different from the default mobile responsiveness which displays the homepage from desktop mode. As you can see, our mobile theme has a basic structure which intends to display the Big Grid (which render only the posts from Featured Category), some text which is added in the Mobile Editor and the Latest Articles Modules at the bottom of the homepage. Our mobile concept does not recognize the Visual Composer shortcode and this has been designed to be very fast, clear and easy to use. For more information about mobile theme, please check here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
I hope that you understood the concept.
Thanks.
Hello VoZz,
Sorry for the inconvenience. There seems to be a CSS issue in the new update on the mobile theme. Please use this CSS code in the mobile theme’s custom code box:
.td-post-author-name div { display:inline; }
Thank you for your understanding!
Hi Andrei,
This is helpful. Is there a way to add some of the items from the top bar nav menu in the custom mobile menu? I don’t need to change the structure. I just want to make sure I can get some of the top nav items in the mobile menu.
Thank you very much.
Hi there.
Im doing my 1st web ever, and i bought your theme. Im amazed, good job. But i have some problems with the “phone display”. Im in love/hate with the mobile theme, so maybe you can help me out:
1- I really love the mobile theme in terms of the POSTS. Its really clean, and no sidebar showing up (which i consider innecesary on phones). Everything is clear and fast.
BUT! The homepage… its waay simple for me. I know are able only to put the grid to features posts, and the “last articles”. But im missing so much things, even the slider revolution which gives nice visual.
In the other hand, if i desactivate the mobile theme plugin, i really like the homepage shown, but the Posts are way more chaotic with the sidebar in the botton. Even for Ads, i think is way simpler to add them with the plugin On.
So… what can i do? I mean, there is a way to have everything set up with the plugin, except the homepage? Or is just impossible?
2- I didnt want some social icons, so i read the forum and found that CSS text which hide the unnecesary ones.
The problem is, when i update the POST in the mobile (with NO PLUGIN), it shows all the icons for 1 second, and then it hides the unnecesary ones. Call me maniac, but i really dont like that xD
Notice that if i activate the mobile theme plugin, go to theme panel->mobile theme->custom CSS and put the code, when i refresh the post its perfect. It doesnt show anything else than the icons i want.
And in the desktop, it depends. Sometimes it show them for 0.5 secs only, and then dissapear.
How can i solve this? Instead of hiding the icons that i dont want, its possible delete them? Maybe i have no issues if i do that. (I know is a bit of maniac, but…xD)
3- As i said in point 1, i really dont like sidebars on phone view. Thats why i want the mobile theme plugin (for me perfect in 95%) with the homepage from desktop version.
In case you cannot provide me a solution, ill have to put the sidebar. My intention was to put 1-2 Ads (from adsense) on that spot, in post pages. But i want to have a smart sidebar, cause my posts are long and it feels empty when you start to go down on the web and see nothing on the right.
But i read that i cannot put adsense on smartsidebar, so… my question is. Can i put on static ad from adsense in the begining of the sidebar (like a normal sidebar), and then a smart sidebar which goes down when you are reading?
I dont know if i express good enough: I want a post page. With a add in the beginning of the sidebar side, static, in the up side. And just below that add, one smart sidebar (with social counters, blocks, etc…) which goes down keeping always the right side “busy”. But the Add is staying in the up side.

Sorry for all the wall of text, and sorry for my poor english.
Thanks in advance. I really hope for a positive solution for the point 1 🙂
Hey Bodgan,
thank you very much!! It worked!
I added some margin and padding values to the respective classes and in the desktop version it looks really good. However, as soon as I change the resolution it looks pretty weird. Is it possible to have the search bar always visible in the desktop and tablet version but change back to the search-icon in the mobile version?
Thanks!
Your tutorial suggest that if I want to add a new element Then i go to homepage and add it there. It will appear between the main grid and the latest articles.
There are series of homepages such as homepage – blog or Homepage – fashion ( not a single one called homepage) Can you assist????
Hey guys,
Since the last update the author name in the mobile theme doesnt display correctly. Name doenst display at all, and the normally Dutch version of ‘By’ is now in English. Only in the mobile theme. Do you have a fix for this? Screenshot: http://reisrobot.nl/screen.png

Hello patilabo,
Please refer to this topic here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/logo-in-mobile/
Thanks.
Dear Catalln,
Yes, that was my first responds too. However, based on the visitor’s behavior this is caused by the Mobile theme of Newspaper. The mobile theme is responsible for this. Nothing wrong going on. My site has become more accessible to mobile users. However, let me come back on this over 3 weeks.
Thanks for the great advice, I will set that on.
Hello jansena,
If you want to rule out the post category tag only for the mobile version, please notice that you will have to use a bit of CSS code to do that. Please try the code below and place it in Theme panel->Custom CSS area.
@media (max-width:767px) {
.td-post-category {
display:none!important;
}
}
The result you should see here -> http://screencast.com/t/tgTfuTLz
Hope this helps!
Thanks.
Hi,
How can I remove the category tags on mobile? (on the desktop version I don’t have the category tags)
I would prefer to have it not hardcoded.
Hello Eurorus,
The theme is still 7.3 but the fix was implemented after 7.3 was released. Please download the theme again, delete your current theme and install the freshly downloaded one. The version is the same but the fix will be present.
As an alternative, here is the fix needed:
Add this code in the mobile theme’s function.php:
td_global::$td_options = get_option(TD_THEME_OPTIONS_NAME); //read the theme settings once
It should look like so: http://screencast.com/t/ke18K42lG
Thank you!
Good day,
I have a huge problem, after update, mobile version of my website is working totally wrong.
Please assist asap! Im loosing clients every hour!
http://www.wytki.net – mobile version not working properly
Hi lethow,
Do you have any custom implementation to your website? As you can see, by default, the right position of the top Ad is below the mobile menu and not above it, as you can see here -> http://screencast.com/t/M7v6lNm2GT5 You can provide your website URL so I can inspect it closer.
Thanks.
Hello,
There was just 1 ‘unannounced’ update due to a quick fix added for the mobile theme. There was no third edit. Only the first ‘flawed’ version and then the corrected one. Nothing more.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
