Upgraded the other day and haven’t had an issue; revamped my ad codes for mobile yesterday too. Not all setups were created equally. @mehrdad That may be true, but I doubt that was the only way.

Hello shae101s,

Please notice that for this demo is not enabled the mobile version. Please notice that our new mobile theme display you on the front page the following elements -> Bid Grid which takes the posts from your Featured category, some desired text which you can add it from your Mobile Editor using MCE editor and the Latest Articles from the bottom…that’s all. Please check the documentation above because there you will find more information about this feature.

Thanks.

Thanks for the reply Catalin, I’ll certainly look into fixing all you’ve outlined above. Can you also let me know in regards to the main demo found here: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/ is the mobile theme plugin activated there? If it is, How are you guys still able to have a customized homepage on mobile phones while using the mobile theme? When I checked from my phone it looks completely customized, but the menu appears to be the new mobile menu. So it the mobile theme is activated there as well, or just the new mobile menu in use?

Hi,
This is what I’m trying to say: there are no more social icons on mobile. They are all inside the menu. Maybe you had the old modification that foprces the socialicons to display on to pof the menu from newspaper 6. The css code we provided here for most people that requested mobile social icons. Please provide a link to your site so I can inspect it and see if this can be done through css.
Thank you!

Hello themusic20202,

I do not exactly understand what you want to achieve with this code. Please provide more details about this case so I will be able to provide a more accurate response.
If you want to get rid the main menu for mobile, please try the code below and place it in Theme panel->Custom CSS area.

The code is ->

.td-mobile-content {
display:none;
}

The result you should see here -> http://screencast.com/t/dNiz3NQpHa

Thanks.

Hello!

My hosting provider asked me to use Litespeed plugin for cache (they have litespeed server), but when I enable it, the mobile theme is everywhere, desktop or mobile. Is there a way around this?

Many thanks!

Hi,
The mobile theme auto-sizes the ads automatically that is why you cannot select a fixed size for them. Test this out with a predefined ad and you will see the results:

Thank you!

Hello shae101s,

First of all, I feel glad that you are excited by our new improvements for our theme and I want to thank you for your kind words.
Please notice that the fonts for our new mobile theme are loaded by default and do not exists any settings from our panel to change these fonts, sorry! If you want to change them, you will have to do only from code. So, you should try to check the style.css for mobile and then, you should use Search and Replace button to change the default fonts with your desired one by you, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/miaEOTvhL Also, if the fonts are not loaded on your theme you will have to add them using the @font-face attribute, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/wuk6OS2RaQs Please notice that this is not a simple task and if you are not aware of the steps in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because this service is not covered by our support.

For your second request, please notice that is the mobile behaviour for your theme and the light box was disabled from the code in order to make this feature being so fast and clear. Also, do not exist any options to enable this feature, because the mobile theme has not been designed to be used in this case. If you are unhappy with this behaviour for your mobile mode, you have to disable the mobile theme plugin and then the theme will be switched to the normal mobile responsive mode and there you will find that behaviour.

If you have enabled the mobile theme, the pages will be displayed in the simple mode and you can only add your desired text which will appear on your mobile view. Please notice that this simple core for the mobile theme has been designed for a fast page loading, speed, clean content and relevant information. Also, if you are using the mobile theme, your home page will not display you the original page but only the big grid and the related articles because the Visual Composer not working for the mobile theme, though. If you do not want to have this behaviour for your mobile mode, you simply disable the tagDiv Mobile theme plugin from plugins area, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/uoSa0R9CUL6 Also, if you want to change the filtering structure for Big Grid, please notice that you will have to alter the code from front-page.php, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/kDIW2lyabJ and this involve customization services and we cannot provide this at the moment, sorry!

For more information about our new feature, please check the documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/

Thank you for your understanding!

Hello mike6209,

Please notice that the mobile theme is too basic as the structure and do not support the Visual Composer to be edited. For more information about our new mobile theme, please check our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ Please notice that this feature was made to be as simple, clear and very fast. If you are unhappy with this and if you want to have more customization for your mobile mode, you will have to simply disable the mobile theme and the theme will be switched to the normal mobile responsive mode.

Thank you for your understanding!

Thank you Bogdan,

I’ve made the theme update overall (thanks to you and your team)
However, I don’t want to change the overall layout to the mobile theme.

I wish to move the navicon and search/social icons to the very top above the main header image. Instead of it formatting to below when in mobile.

see example below

I did some change in style.css code and removed mobile-toggle and logo from mobile view. Now I tried everything to make them back but I haven’t succeed. Could you please help me how to cancel previous codes?

Ps. I can see mobile toggle in desktop view if I don’t limit the screen size by @media syntax.

Hey guys, Loving the new updates to NewsPaper 7!! Excellent job. I have a few questions though about some quirks I am noticing on mobile. When the mobile theme plugin is activated, I noticed that the fonts I have stated I want used for the headings, body text etc, they no longer show up on mobile, but instead some default fonts loads. How can I fix this? (the heading fonts I use on the site load via Typekit, also can I use fonts from Fonts.com web subscription in that box?)

Next, I noticed that if I go to a post with images in it and I click on the images, instead of opening in a lightbox like it normally would, it opens up the image itself in a new window or opens the image file page if it’s not the featured image. How can I get it to instead open in the lightbox like before?

Also, when I view the homepage on the mobile phones, I notice it right away has three featured posts, but where and how are they selected? How can I change them to be specific posts if I’d like?

Thanks

Hello taco_and_co,

Please notice that even though the mobile theme does not support the Visual Composer for the shortcode, it uses the Visual Composer to display the Big Grid from the front of the page and the Latest Articles from the bottom of the page which are made in our theme with Visual Composer elements. I hope that you have understood my explanation.

Thank your message!
