Thanks Bogdan, the ajax view count was already disabled, so I’ve enabled it now and cleared the cache, I’ll see if that helps.

Whilst we are the subject of cache, this could be the issue, everytime I make a change on my site I have to clear the cache otherwise it wont show up on mobile. Do you have any advice here?

Hi,

Unfortunately i cannot provide a solution for this, sorry. You could look on the web for some info , ex – http://security.stackexchange.com/questions/46701/how-to-secure-api-private-key-for-mobile-apps
My advice is to hire a professional to help you with this task, you can find one on places like http://studio.envato.com/

Thank you!

Hi

Please make sure that you set the the smart snap to be always displayed: http://screencast.com/t/GBer6k6r4
Regarding the issues with images on mobile I am not sure why this happens as I’ve tested your site on mobile devices and works fine: http://screencast.com/t/GBer6k6r4 Try do deactivate lazy load animation, clear all caches including the phone’s cache, deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, and test again.

Thanks!

Hello,

I would like to customize the mobile header of my newspaper website.
http://www.journaldufranc.com

I wish to have the logo centered in the middle of the header, and being able to set its width and height.
Also, I would like to have the search logo on the right. So it will be better balanced.

Could you please tell me how to set this ?
Many thanks.

I’ve updated the plugin this morning after reading that same email from Envato and left my computer the whole day, only to find my website to be completely crippled this evening.

In Safari: Fatal error: Unknown: Cannot use output buffering in output buffering display handlers in Unknown on line 0

In Chrome: the website looks like a (erroneous) mobile site.

On my iPhone 6s it seems to work normally.

Under plugins it says VC is changed to 4.7.4.

Any help is much appreciated!

Yes, well if the theme is updated then something changed.

You might
a) try resaving the ad unit in the theme panel
b) try changing the default “size” to auto for the top ad unit, and/or try setting it to a very small fixed size for mobile in the theme panel, then re-test.

As I said if you LOOK at your screen shot it looks like the ad is going off the page to right and pushing the content left, so playing with the *ad* setting would solve that for the moment.

AGAIN:
for those who don’t know how to read changelogs …
if using Newspaper 6x ..

a) go to your Envato/Themeforest account,
b) download the “all files” for Newspaper, extract to the “Newspaper-tf” folder
c) in the /plugins folder note the file “js_composer”
d) extract the zip
e) in the ‘js_composer’ plugin folder, note the file “changes.txt”

note it’s 4.7.4 🙂

2.10.2015 – ver 4.7.4
– Fixed: Bug in grid builder presets
– Added extra ajax check

29.09.2015 – ver 4.7.3
– Re: Backwards compatibility for images with custom link
– Added border for single image with external source
– Width of vc icon in “Add element” window fixed
– Presets saving mechanism optimized

22.09.2015 – ver 4.7.2
– “Undefined index” notice in tabs, tour, accordion removed (for cases when vc_remove_param() was called)
– Bottom border in image gallery fixed
– <br> now works in mobile view tabs
– Backwards compatibility for images with custom link
– Minor css improvements and fixes

Hi,

I would like to insert a custom shortcode for the sidebar, where I should to edit it ?

This custom shortcode will detect if it’s mobile or not and decide to load sidebar or not. I don’t know where to insert the code.

Well, I just recently checked about the project – “Accelerated Mobile Pages” AMP HTML an open source project from Google. And https://www.ampproject.org/ this being the official site.. loads extremely fast! That runs on AMP.
However, I’m afraid I don’t know the technicalities of it, whether its support would come with a WordPress update or theme developers would support it. But, still I wanted you to take a look at it! If it could be implement in this theme! This theme would be undefeatable (already is) but would be more 😀

Our site is no longer “responsive” on the iPhone brieser.
It worked fine until recently and now the site is not as wide as the screen any more? There is white space to the right of the site all the way down the page, effectively “squeezing” the visibility of the site.

You can manually pinch/expand to make the images larger but then moves all around versus just simply scrolling down like always.

Any idea why this is happening.

Hello again,

I’m familiar with modifying / recompiling LESS files, and I was wondering if there was a simple modification I could make to generate new styles so that tablet users (on portrait orientation) would see the same styles as phone users? This way the tablet user doesn’t feel that the site isn’t mobile friendly.

Thanks!

Is there any possibility to use the “other non-responsive ads” with google adsense. For example… On mobile I would like to display an adsense code but on desktop I would like to display an amazon affiliate widget but it seems adsense takes over no matter what.

from an naother android phone the images are shown but some letters are not shown and instead of them there is a square in the text. What is going on with your mobile theme?

Hi

You can hide more article box for mobile devices using this custom css in theme panel > custom css: http://screencast.com/t/cO9GiCcQ4nT0

@media (max-width: 767px){
.td-more-articles-box {
display: none;
}
}

Thanks!

Hello,
When you override settings and they do not apply, you need to add !important in your code.
The fonts are already overwritten once when you switch to the mobile version.

.td-post-template-1 .td-post-header .entry-title {
font-size: 16px!important;
line-height: 22px!important;
}

Thanks.

Thanks, but since we have a lot of 2nd-level subcategories, that could still be a problem on a mobile screen. Is there a way to turn off the 2nd level subcategories so that readers only see the main category, and the first level subcategories?

So under INSPIRE category, we see only:

Culture
Fashion & Style
Health & Wellness
Portraits
Sexuality

and not:

Culture
– Books
– Exhibitions
– Music
Fashion & Style
Health & Wellness
– Body
– Mind
Portraits
Sexuality

Thanks!
