Hello
mobile menu and search be on the logo like this..
How to make them Above the Logo ? i dont want them be on the logo …
thanks
Using latest Newspaper version with latest WP version. Noticed this for a while now but kept forgetting to bring it up.
I use block 18 and when I visit my site on mobile I cannot open the first post in block 18; there is no tap space. I’ve tried tapping on the image and the title but nothing. In case I’m explaining the block used incorrectly, here’s screenshot – nothing inside the red box can be tapped on mobile. I use Android and Chrome on mobile.
Thanks.
thanks man
Now i want ask How to hide Raw HTML from mobile theme ? and keep it only on desktop ???
Hi
@VicVik to change the distance from the top for more stories box only for mobiles it’s needed a js library that detect the screen resolution, and a new condition in scroll function. Here is the js code for scroll function if you want to affect it: http://screencast.com/t/3rn7GQoZs as I can’t offer a quick solution because this changes involve custom work. Unfortunately we cannot offer any type of custom work for the moment as we work hard on the development, updates, fixes and support. You can always get a freelancer from sites like: http://studio.envato.com/ if you don’t know how to do it yourself.
Thanks for the message!
Hi
To hide a widget on mobile devices you can use media queries and target the specific classes for that widget:

Hi Andrei,
Sorry, for confusing you with my bad English. I meant the Comments Section.
But with your Reply I found a very simple Solution which does exact what I Need. And without the Need of replacing CodeSnippets in the Theme 🙂
By just deactivating the “Show SignIn/Join” in Newspaper Theme TopBar I got it like I want it to work.
I discovered that the “Show SignIn/Join” Modal Open Window Function handles also the Comments Section with the Modal Opening Function in the Template.
Maybe the Modal open Window for Login/Join could be seperated in future Updates of the Theme like:
a.) Enable/Disable – Show SignIn/Join – for TopBar
b.) Enable/disable – Show SignIn/Join – for Comments Section (if disabled here, the Original WordPress Code is working (in same way as for now when disabling the SignIn/Join Function in TopBar) and other Plugins like UserPro can do the Job with Registration/Login by Redirection Function to the Register/Login Page)
So the Owner of the Website has more variations without the Need of manipulating the NewsPAper Theme Code. Just my two Cents 😉
For me personally this Modal Open function is not neccesery cause I´m not a really Fan of it. Because of the fact that Mobile Handys showing the Modal Windows differently and sometimes if a User zoom in a Page the Modal Window are going invisible in some Scenarios.
With best Regards,
Karl

Hi
You need to use media queries and set your specific sizes for mobile devices, for example:
@media (max-width: 768px) {
.page-id-6233 .td-container {
/* your custm css */
}
}
Also you can use advanced css section in theme panel: http://screencast.com/t/rIWKUNpnnWc Please note that modifying them’s grid it’s not something we recommend, it’s not an easy task because modifying the them’s grid will require other css customization.
Thanks!
Hi BeautyGeek,
Please open a new tread when you have some questions or need guidance concerning the theme. Thanks!
The theme doesn’t have any option to disable widgets on mobile screens however you can do it using custom css, target widgets using widget’s specific class or id and media queries, like this: http://screencast.com/t/Dkkz8prDkD
This is the css code I’ve used:
@media (max-width: 767px) {
.td_block_id_1775388033 {
display: none;
}
}
To hide the more article box use this css code in theme panel > custom css section:
@media (max-width: 767px) {
.td-more-articles-box {
display: none;
}
}

Hi,
You can try to add it like this – http://webdev-il.blogspot.ro/2011/03/how-to-make-html-link-to-call-phone.html and use it in the phone container(if you want this only on mobile device):
<div class="td-visible-phone">
<a href="tel:5551234567"><img src="http://link to your image" alt="" /></a>
</div>
Thanks!

Hi,
Unfortunately Newspaper has an fixed grid layout, responsive as it is fluid and style for desktop/tables/mobile screens. Changing the grid’s width is not an easy job and you would need lots of custom modifications for it, as you need to change the width value for all elements on pages and for this you would need custom work. If you really need this you would have to get a professional’s help and ask him to do all the necessary modifications and testing in this regard.
Thanks!

Hello,
I need help for changing CSS file.
Certain pages (via pageid) have a special width due inserted iframe. Now those pages are neatly displayed on the desktop version, but the mobile version does not function. Results are not displayed properly and does not appear in the slider width frame.
Example page of the site with a problem:
http://meteoplaneta.rs/desetodnevna-prognoza/
Thank you in advance for your help.
Hi Thank uoi very much that did help. But the “more article box” still pops up on mobile version and I dont want that. My sidebar isnt smart on desktop mode too
I dont want more stories in mobile mode but i want it on desktop. How can I do that
I really like the More Stories feature in this theme …
However, for the Mobile mode especially, I’d like it to appear when the article being viewed has been scrolled down farther. That would allow the reader to at least get a sentence or two into it before being notified of something else.
Is such an adjustment possible?
Thanks in advance for your direction.

Hi
@GideonLupine please check this topic: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/registrationlogin-modal-captcha/ Lucian posted a solution there.
@doucare1971 this is on our feature request list, but we must find the right design for each header style. Implementing this feature may take some time because it requires testing across browsers, operating systems and mobile devices. We have this in our consideration for future theme updates.
Thanks!

Hi fokus,
We haven’t tested cloudflare’s rocket loader with the theme but usually the rocket loader or automatic compression of js resources cause this. We don’t recommend using an autominify tool as this could generate js conflicts and break features that use js to function as in your case mobile menu and search did.
As I said we don’t recommend automatic compression of theme’s resources but you can try to debug this using browser’s console and exclude from compression those areas which cause issues.
You could also search for ways to this online or turn to a developer to customize your site in this regard.
Hope this helps!

Hi,
Theme’s page mega menu doesn’t have the same functionality on mobile menu version, on mobiles page mega menu leads to the page set as mega menu, that is the normal behavior of it.
We don’t have page mega menu available for newspaper theme demo. But you can see the same behavior on newsmag’s theme page mega menu on mobile version: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/mega-page-on-mobile-menu/- http://screencast.com/t/emCO5fBuAqD

Hi,
I also had some issues with the scroll up button. It still doesn’t work for me in some rare cases like old ie mobile devices, but it’s like 0.1% of visitors so I don’t care.
In your case, it can be a bit of css:
line 20212 of style.css (newspaper 6.4)
@media (max-width: 767px) {
.td-scroll-up-visible {
display: none;
}
}
I think it should be like this (at least I changed mine and it shows the button in mobiles):
@media (max-width: 767px) {
.td-scroll-up-visible {
display: block !important;
}
}
You can try to replace the code in style.css file or paste the second block of code in the “custom css” section of the theme panel.
Hope this helps, cheers!
