after the V4 update the big slider looking strange on mobile view. I have tried the above mentioned workaround with 2 sliders, one normal and one big but somehow this is not working anymore? Can you please check? With this css code the normal slider is hidden on desktop but unfortunatelly the big one is not hidden on mobiles. You can check on my site too: http://hashtagsport.de/beta

Picture doesn’t fit correctly on mobile devices. Not sure if it’s a bug or not?
It looks like it only happens when i activate the plugin.
I’m currently using the plugin ‘WP Fastest Cache’ until we can fix the W3 Cache plugin, because that’s the only plugin that seems to work at the moment.
I have sent you an email with WP access and FTP access, ignore what it says in the email. To test you will need to deactivate the ‘WP Fastest Cache’ and enable W3 Cache.

Please make sure that your server doesn’t make a redirect for mobiles and redirect your to an address like mobile.yoursite.com on phones. From your screenshot i can’t see your site URL.
or have this issue only if you use a cache plugin? Can you provide your site URL to see the issue?

My website is just displaying a white screen (or an error from any mobile) when I enable W3 Cache plugin. It never used to do this, but all of a sudden it’s not displaying my website to visitors.
I only have ‘Page’ cache enabled with Disk:Enhanced in the ‘General’ settings. But it’s still not displaying with only 1 option enabled?
I have tried uninstalling and re-stalling again but it’s not working. I have also tried Super Cache, but that isn’t working too.

Hi,
You have no menu because you use the top one and that one it’s hidden on mobile, If you want you can add a menu or you can add this
CSS in Theme Panel > Custom CSS:
@media (max-width: 767px) {
.td-header-menu-wrap {

top: 0px !important;
}

That logo is used on mobile/phones (logo that appear in menu on phones), we do that implementation because on desktop if you use a colored menu bar(let say black) and above you have a black logo + banner is fine on desktop but if you go on phone the logo will be on menu bar (black on black)
About your previous implementation you use the .affix selector, now is .td-affix try with this selector.

Thanks for the new update, it looks like it has the potential to be great!
One bug I noticed is when the page initially loads and you start scrolling on mobile, it doesn’t show the full length of the slider. Here’s a screenshot:
Once you swipe through the slider, it shows the whole thing.
By the way, I love how the mobile slider shows so many more articles now. Great job!

My console log is empty except an error with the adserver once in a while. Which error are you referring to? This shouldn’t cause a conflict with resizing or?

I’d actually recommend you do a full backup via your hosting panel of your dbase, and do a repair/optimize outside of WP, if you can do so – to be safe.

(correction: “But yes… on a 190MB dbase, WP-Optimize clears out on average about 27.5MB of crap,”) … not correct. Clean up varies on how much needs optimization. That number happened on one site, first optimization after a year of no optimization. Normally it’s more like a 1 or 2% house cleaning.
We have the number of post drafts optimized in our functons.php file to limit number of saves to no more than 3.
If you’re having trouble optimizing via plugin, I would likely contact your hosting provider and optimize your dbase from phpmyadmin or similar outside of wordpress (e.g., command line, or from server side).
But yes… on a 190MB dbase, WP-Optimize clears out on average about 27.5MB of crap, depending on when you do an optimization.
I think the pagespeed insights reference to browswer caching is having
1) expires headers from the server (or via htaccess on Apache, or config file on nginx), which specify a time to live, such as “cache fonts for one week, don’t reload them every time a page loads” … that is the purpose of “browser caching” — same with CSS, images like a logo, javascript, etc. — my settings are in the sticky for pagespeed.
2) remember to have gzip/deflate running on server side, you don’t need plugin for that as the server can compress everything on request
I’m not currently using W3 cache, and frankly I’d leave that off until you get everything else sorted as otherwise you end up caching incomplete pages from the other errors or overloads. Once EVERYTHING else is solid, THEN you would turn on the cache as the LAST thing in the chain.
