Hi I have just done this for my site. I have a dark blue main menu in desktop/ipad and a white menu background for my phones.
The problem is that I use white icons for my desktop so when it goes to the phone the menu and search icons, cannot be seen.
What CSS do I need to change these icons to black for mobile phone devices?
My clients site: http://conservativevoiceofthepeople.com/, the logo is to the right on the mobile version (Android to be exact) and there is no navigation. Can this be changed?
Hi Radu,
I’m asking questions because I found out the bugs in your theme and hopefully you can make this theme better in future updates/versions, and fix the theme problem, and get my problem solved as well.
Every question that I asked previously, is because they are bugs found, and they do not have problem documentations on the CSS part on each of the module/widget. If you can have complete documentations, that we won’t ask you in this forum. Instead of blaming your customer for asking question, why not improve on your documentations or create video tutorials?
To answer your question, this is the last question that I found, and hope that you can fix this. We, as customer, purchased the theme because we hope that we can get good support from you. Everything on the internet nowadays can be found on many file sharing website, but instead of searching this theme, I purchased this theme, not because that I cannot find, but because of the feedback of your customers on your support.
I hope you can keep your reputation high, as the Avada developer does. I purchased that theme as well. Their supports were awesome. To be honest, your supports were excellent and truly fantastic as well, until I received your message. I’m kind of disappointed, but I hope you can keep on your good supports.
I don’t know how many of you working in your company, and how many of you supporting your customers. My suggestion is, if you don’t have manpower to do so, please add some manpower in your customer service team to share your workload. Thanks.
Hi,
1. I don’t understand your question. For me looks like this: http://screencast.com/t/EabiYbT4
2. Use this CSS for mobile
#wp-toolbar > ul > li {
display: block !important;
}
Thanks!
Thank you, that sorts out our problem for the time being!
An additional question:
On smaller screens (mobile) all the menus are by default open when you click on them, so every sub-item shows on the left hand side.
Is there any way to collapse the main menu items, so that the sub-menus / sub-categories drop down when you click on them? (http://i.imgur.com/7kdpJ1R.jpg)
PS! I don’t mean the menu itself. That works properly, and appears and disappears when clicking the top left icon. I’m referring to the sub-items, to make the menu shorter.
hi,
hey you are always asking and we have given to you solutions, when you gonna stop? the theme has the options that he has.
for more custom work please hire a programmer.
Thanks for you message.

hi,
sorry for misunderstanding, what I have written was not wrong but was not a copy and paste solution.
1) download this package : https://github.com/serbanghita/Mobile-Detect
2) copy the file : http://screencast.com/t/VpXwx0Oh7 here : http://screencast.com/t/ZWuXFw3g0
3) add this code in the function.php file
$detect = new Mobile_Detect;
$deviceType = ($detect->isMobile() ? ($detect->isTablet() ? 'tablet' : 'phone') : 'computer');
like here : http://screencast.com/t/8KSWWhcmhNT
4) modify the code in the category.php file
<?php if($deviceType == 'computer') {?>
<div class="span4 column_container">
<?php get_sidebar(); ?>
</div>
<?php }?>
and
<?php if($deviceType == 'phone') {?>
<div class="span4 column_container">
<?php get_sidebar(); ?>
</div>
<?php }?>
like here: http://screencast.com/t/bGwnf90qhi
Thanks for you message.

modify the javascript function to hide and show the subcategories.
if you are not a programmer please hire one for this task.
Thanks for you message.

On mobile device the menu slide out shows all the sub-categories by default. Can the sub categories list only be shown after clicking on a categories? maybe add a + sign next to categories that have sub categories?
Advise? Thanks.
Hi, How to enable buddypress/admin toolbar? I tried buddypress settings and checked “Show the Toolbar for logged out users” but it did not work. I then added add_filter(‘show_admin_bar’, ‘__return_true’); to functions.php and it now shows but has a few issues.
1. the toolbar width is not set same as theme
2. on mobile devices the header menu is gone. and does not show top menu and toolbar
Can you advise on a fix? Thank you.

Hi Marius,

Hi mrmobile,
did you follow this guide?
https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-v-3-7/
You need to install VC as a stand alone plugin now.
regards
Norman
Hi,
You need to use the sidebar from Theme panel to be on right to avoid that issue on mobile.
The issue is that if the sidebar is on left side is first in code and on mobile will be the first to.
Hope this help!

Hi again
The site is live and I’m wondering how I get the mobile version to show the mobile menu button on the left, and my image as a mobile menu item.
If you visit the site, I want the image you see in the menu when scrolling at the same place when you’re scrolling on mobile.
I’m displaying the logo in the menu with the following css, and it’s working great on everything except mobile:
/* —————————————————————————-
Custom CSS
*/
.menu-item-40484 {
display: none;
}
.affix .menu-item-40484 {
display: block;
}
.menu-item-40484 {
position: absolute; left: 260px;}
}
/* responsive portrait tablet */
@media (min-width: 768px) and (max-width: 1018px) {
.menu-item-40484 {position: absolute;left: 35px;}
}
/* responsive landscape tablet */
@media (min-width: 1019px) and (max-width: 1199px) {
.menu-item-40484 {position: absolute;left: 52px;}
}
@media (min-width: 1019px) and (max-width: 1199px) {
.td-menu-wrap #td-top-menu {
padding-left: 70px;
}
I’ve tried adding something like the css below, but it doesn’t work:
/* responsive phone */
@media (max-width: 767px) {
.menu-item-40484 {position: absolute;left: 5px;}
}

Hi,
Please refer to the image below, how can I change the mobile slider font size?
And the arrow show that the title is overlapping if it’s too long and wrapped into 2 lines.
Please assist.

Thanks
I would appreciate the CSS to make the menu smaller too!
Maybe an update in the future could include a design where the ipad version automatically goes to mobile or the design of the menu looks good when forced onto two lines? Many thanks.
