Hi,
Please try to regenerate your thumbnails using this guide, and also take note of the requirements for the server
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/
After the regeneration process is complete, please clear any caching installed and check to see if the problem is resolved.
Thanks
Hi,
This is a weird issue you are having, and I have not seen it before. I found a possible solution online in this topic – https://wordpress.org/support/topic/visual-editor-missing-15/
Maybe you can try the suggestions and the fix mentioned there, and hopefully get to the bottom of this or identify what is causing this problem. You could try to deactivate all your plugins and clear any caching installed to see if this has any effect. Also you could switch to a default WordPress theme to see if the option is available then, but I do not think the theme is causing this.
The theme has these requirements for the server
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
And modifications made according to this guide if needed
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Please let us know how it goes
Thanks
Hi,
I have inspected you website and it seems to load poorly indeed. From what I can tell the website is taking a lot of time loading the cache you are using – https://www.screencast.com/t/DxOwNzhYt7x and almost half a second for each image on the website. Adding those together results in the present situation.
Basically these are the theme requirements – https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
What you could try is use the recommended cache plugin with the settings specified here
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
You can try a fresh theme install with the latest version using one of these methods
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
Then install only the plugins provided in the theme package. Also take a look to the guide about improving page speed, provided above. Please let us know how it goes.
Thanks
Hello,
I have followed the size requirements for the logo and uploaded it. However, when I do do it does not size right and remains too large for the area allowed with the ad space at the side. See http://www.argusnews.org for the current view with to much white or empty space around it. I have had to add extra space around the image in Photoshop in order for the whole logo to fit. this is not what I would like to happen.
Here are some informations, but please note the website was ok just a few days ago and it’s a standard OVH multi-site web hosting:
PHP version : 5.3.29
max_execution_time: 120
max_input-vars : 2000
SUHOSIN intalled: false
WP Memory Limit : 40MB/request (we not use Woocommerce)
If you want me to ask for something else, please give me more informations about the requirements.
I guess it’s rather a problem of activation or authentication.
When I have reinstalled the files (via Filezilla – the original files – for I hadn’t a backup) I had’nt to activate the Newspaper’s theme (there was no “activate theme” box area for the purchase code), is it normal?
I have also changed the admin’s pass.
The website is : http://www.aux4vents.org
I can give you the WP access.
You don’t need any special requirements for ANY theme to get accepted by AdSense. It’s not theme related, but content and consistency related, as noted in the AdSense guidelines.
Step by step: read the AdSense docs !
make sure you meet the system requirements for memory, time to run php, etc. — as most common issue there.
Hi,
The theme automatically creates the thumbnail sizes required for the different modules and blocks from the featured images. Each module has a defined image size that will be displayed if it is enabled in theme panel.
If you have existing content you must use the regenerate thumbnail tool in order to recreate the thumbnails required for these modules. Please try the regenerating tool provided above and the requirements mentioned in that guide. And remove any modifications you say were made. Also clear any caching installed after the regeneration process is complete.
If you tried this method and with no results, please provide a link to your website so we can inspect it.
You can see all the blocks and big grids used in the theme in the demo

Thanks
Hello polys_a,
Please notice that the speed of your website depends on how well your site is optimized. Notice that is not a simple task and if you do not have any experience in this regard you will do not bring good results for the theme. Also, notice that we have a speed optimization tutorial but this is addressed only to advanced users. So, if you follow the steps which are presented in this tutorial here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/ you can increase the page speed loading and if you are not aware of the steps in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because the speed optimization services is not covered by our support policy, as you can read here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/support-policy-2/ Check our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ regarding on dedicated server to fit to our requirements.
Unfortunately, our theme does not have such an option to minify the style.css file and we cannot recommend any plugins with this functionality because is not tested with our theme. For minifying this file, we are using CloudFlare for our demo and works fine. If you want to read other views from our users, please check this topic -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tip-how-to-easily-minify-your-css-without-breaking-your-site/

Hi,
I do not know how are you getting these problems. Please note that Visual composer is fully supported with the Newspaper theme and we did not have any bad reports in this regard. There are no known incompatibility issues between the theme and Visual composer if used as recommended.
Conflicts can happen with other plugins, so please try and make a fresh theme install – https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/ and then test this while having only Visual composer active, and no other plugins. Also please consider that if you are using Visual composer on posts, this is not recommended and could provide unexpected issues.
The theme has these requirements – https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ and also some modifications to some parameters as mentioned here – https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Thanks

Here some system INFO of the current installation:http://i66.tinypic.com/2dkjr5l.png
For some testing, I made a copy of the website and run it on a different server (with no SSL) and the theme worked as before, without any problem.
The funny part is that on the testing server, the requirements suggested on you guide were not satisfied. Have a look by yourself: http://i67.tinypic.com/2z9mnbq.png

Hi,
Basically the theme has these requirements – https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ and modifications to these parameters as mentioned here if needed – https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
The theme is fully tested and works properly if these conditions are met. After you make these changes try deactivating all your plugins and activate Visual composer only, and check if you are still having these errors. Also test if this is happening while using a default wordpress theme as a test.
Thanks
Hi,
We have not had any negative feedback regarding this. Please make sure that you use the latest version of the theme and the plugins bundled in the package.
The theme has these server requirements – https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ and requires modifications to be made to some parameters if needed – https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
It is recommended to use WP Super Cache – https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/ with the theme. There is also an available tutorial about improving website performance – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
If you are saying that everything was fine before moving to the new host, maybe the problem is there since we have no complaints regarding this issue and everything is working as intended. Please let us know how it goes.
Thank you for understanding!
Hi,
That is just a function used to report warnings or errors. It can be set to a true value for WordPress development purposes, but usually it is set to false according to the documentation – https://codex.wordpress.org/WP_DEBUG
If you still are having these problems while using the theme only with the latest version of the bundled plugins, and the parameters mentioned above are set properly as well as the server requirements being fulfilled – https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ then the functionality should work as intended.
Please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login information if you can not manage to find the source of this issue so we can take a look. Also paste a link to this topic for identification purposes.
Thanks
No. The AMP plugin replaces the mobile theme with the AMP version, where portions of the content get cached on Google servers under high demand as a CDN structure.
If you plan on using AMP as your main mobile element, then the theme mobile support is only used for those instances where AMP is not used.
You can modify the AMP templates however you wish.
Desktop => theme template
Mobile => theme template/mobile (optional)
Mobile AMP => AMP template via plugin
AMP has very specific requirements outside the scope of the theme.
For example, WordPress allowed you to use the visual editor to add <p style="center"> which is bad HTML in modern usage. This will cause AMP validation to fail.
Theme authors cannot spend the time to support the ins/outs of AMP which change over time, and for which there would be unreasonable amount of support time provided to those who don’t understand how WP works, how AMP works, and can’t RTFM.
It ONLY makes sense to use an “agnostic” plugin like the one from Automattic (we have been using it since Nov 2015). This puts the brunt of development/compliance on the backs of WordPress devs and not theme devs, since it gets used for all the tier 1 “VIP” WordPress sites like TIME magazine, etc.
Really — anybody who wants to implement AMP should look into using the AMP plugin, then learn to tweak per the requirements as that is “best” way to go to save yourself major headaches, pain, suffering, and torment!
It’s neither economically feasible nor support-smart to build entire AMP support into the theme, which is already provided by the plugin.
(( I don’t work here. ))
Hi,
Basically the theme has these requirements as specified here – https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ in order to get the best results. Some further modifications are recommended to be made according to this guide – https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
If all these simple conditions are met it is recommended to use a caching plugin and the CDN as mentioned in the previous reply. Also a tutorial about improving page loading speed is available here – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/ meant to help you optimize website speed.
Some of these recommendation are not mandatory and a website can work properly without them. Please note that some plugins can have a negative effect on websites and cause unexpected results, so you should test this using only the latest version of the plugins, provided in the theme package.
Thank you for understanding!
Hi,
This should not happen at any time, not to mention when you change the header style. The theme is tested and the demo functionality works properly. In your case something went wrong, be it a plugin conflict, or maybe custom code entered in theme panel, or added to the theme files.
Please try to make a fresh theme install – https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/ and install only the plugins bundled with the theme.
These are the theme requirements – https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ – https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Thank you for understanding!
Hi,
Please make sure your hosting server meets these requirements – https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ in order for the theme to function properly. Also check these parameters and make modifications if needed – https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Then try installing a demo with content to see if it is working as intended.
Thanks

Hi,
Please make sure the host meets these minimum requirements as specified here – https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ and also make sure you modified the required parameters in your wordpress install as suggested above. Also disable all your plugins except Visual composer, clear the cache and purge cdn files, then check to see if you have any more errors. If all the conditions are met, everything should work properly regarding the theme. Here is a guide to help you configure cloudflare if you want to read – https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/

Hello aderayendra,
Yes. All the settings should have to be loaded in your database. Also, for each theme update, you should use the FTP way because this is the surest method in this case. If you need more assistance regarding on your save theme settings, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your log-in information (wp-admin), so we can further inspect it closer your setup page. Provide there the link to this topic so we can quickly identify you. After this, you should check your dedicated server requirements to be according to our guide here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
This could also be caused by the hosting server you are using, if it does not meet even the minimum theme requirements as specified here – https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ Try to contact your host and see if this is the case, and ask them to make the needed modifications. These errors could also be seen in the server error log.
We are aware that the Visual composer editor is getting bigger with each update, and becoming heavy in resource usage. But if the server meets these requirements, and a clean install is made, using only the plugins provided with the theme, everything should work properly. Please let us know how it goes.
Thanks
