Hello benj0612,
Please ensure that you have correctly installed the Visual Composer and also, make sure that you have the latest version of this. Please set your Visual Composer, according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/ Also, please check your system status and try to increase all the parameters, according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/ Please try to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset CDN files if you use it.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks.
Hello goos3d,
I suppose to be a problem with your hosting provider. First of all, please ensure that your hosting provider has these requirements for their server, like this -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ and then, please ensure that your system status parameters were changes as properly, according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/ Also, you have to try to check this without your untested plugins because it is possible to be some conflicting plugins and cause this problem, clear all your cache. Please try to switch to a default theme and check if the behaviour is the same.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thank you for your understanding!

Hi,
I have installed your speed booster plugin and get this message on System Status Panel:
v4.2 – Disabled – incompatible plugin detected: revslider/revslider.php
Both plugins were installed from the theme package.
Any solution for this issue?
Thanks.
Hi,
Please try to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Then check the system status parameters by following this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Let us know if the problem is still there afterwards.
Thank you!
Hi,
The excerpts can be controlled by words or by letters. First check that option here and make sure it;s the one you want: http://screencast.com/t/85S7f4ebSp
Then make sure you modify the correct module for the block you want.
Afterwards please clear your cache as all theme settings are affected by cache.
If it still does not work, you can check your memory allocation by following this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
If it still does not work you can try it without plugins to see if there is no conflicting plugin that interferes. Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and rest cdn files if you use it.
Thank you!
Hello alecbalec,
Please try to check your system status parameters and try to increase them, according to below tutorial ->>
You have to increase these values in order to achieve the best result. If you do not have access to your system status file, please contact your hosting provider and then try to increase these parameters.

Hi,
If you cannot see them in the media gallery then please try this on a wp default theme. It could be your WP install. You can also try to increase these parameters: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
You can also try to change your upload permissions: https://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_File_Permissions
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks.
Hello c.schwalm,
We had reports of such behavior when sometimes the widgets area gets stripped of content, but this is rare and in specific cases. We have not been able to recreate this issue on our end so we cannot say for sure why it is happening. Maybe there is a specific plugin or combination of plugins that causes it. Our theme does not have any sort of code that can remove widgets automatically from the widgets section.
You could try to increase the system status parameters by following this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
And there is also the WordPress conflict regarding the widgets area. If you use special characters such as
{}:”<>?,./;'[]!@#$%^&*() or other language specific ones inside your widgets area, the widgets will get stripped by WordPress.
Unfortunately, we do not have any fix for this case. This has been added on our list of improvements and we will consider this in future updates.
Thank you for your message!
Hello Castle Yen,
Please notice that if you want to improve your page speed it is not a simple task and you will need to have at least basic knowledge PHP/HTML, not necessarily ‘tech savvy’ and also, you should be aware of all modifications which you do into your site .
We have an optional plugin for speed optimization, like speed booster and you will have to set it according to our documentation.
You will need to follow this tutorial on page speed:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/ Gzip compression needs to be active and also read about how you can compress the images. I suggest to getting someone to help you if you cannot manage.
Also please make sure that Speed Booster is active, check System Status for this – http://screencast.com/t/LDPniI0Qpv The plugin is tested only with these plugins – http://screencast.com/t/hcjLnOqh4i2 and if you have others active it will be automatically disabled.
In order to use the TagDiv speed booster with all plugins, you will need to remove this code – http://screencast.com/t/RZLIOPUNdqh
Also, please try to run your website without many untested plugins because these will affect the behavior of the theme and could create some errors in the theme.
We can’t offer speed customization services at the moment so if you still need guidance on this or you’re not aware of the steps you need to take in this regard please consider hiring a developer or a freelancer to do this for you. Also, as you can see in our tutorial, these kinds of information are addressed only for ADVANCED USERS.
Thank you for your understanding!

Hello torsten.dreier,
Please ensure that you have used the latest version of the theme (v.6.7) and try to update your Visual Composer to the latest version of this (v.4.11) I suppose this issue to come from your system status. Please try to increase your system status parameters to the high level, according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Also please try it without any plugins. Disable all of them except visual composer, clear cache and reset CDN files. If the problem is still there, you can try to switch to a wp default theme and check again to see if it’s a WP problem.
Thank you for your understanding!
Hello,
Please first check if you meet the requirements for newspaper: https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ and https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Our theme does not support featured articles (sticky posts) This interferes with our grid. If you want to have a single featured article, you can use a block to display it and use the block settings to filter just the single post by it’s id: http://screencast.com/t/l8n2QZmrNc
Thanks.
Hi,
Please check your system status parameters and set them according to this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Also please try it without any plugins. Disable all of them except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files.
If the problem is still there, you can try to switch to a wp default theme and check again to see if it’s a WP problem.

Hi,
Please read the above conversation on ‘special’ characters and the system status parameters and try the solutions mentioned here.
Another thing you can try is to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and try your sidebars again to rule out a plugin conflict.
Let us know if you still cannot get them to display properly.
Thank you!

Hi @orlando
First of all check in System Status if Speed Booster plugin is active: http://screencast.com/t/6lILerCjFuAr You can read more about how plugin works in this topic: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/mobile-view-problem-3/
Also not that google it’s more restrictive when it comes about page-speed on mobile devices. For example if on desktop you have 90/100 page-speed, on mobile the number will be smaller. This can be checked on our demo. If you look on desktop page-speed you’ll see that there is no render-blocking resource: http://screencast.com/t/pNE7wUbobndD but for the same demo on mobile devices google find a few resources which slow down the page load: http://screencast.com/t/GpmmJ1LHZVPt
To have the same page-sped on mobile as on desktop are required additional customizations and lots of tests. You can follow google’s indications to improve you mobile page-speed but keep in mint that this is a complex task which require some coding skills.
We can’t offer speed customization services at the moment so if you still need guidance on this or you’re not aware of the steps you need to take in this regard please consider hiring a developer or a freelancer to do this for you.
Thanks for your understanding and for your message.
Hello,
You will need to optimize your install a bit. First by following these guides:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
And for the page speed: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
A note on the speedbooster plugin: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tinymce-advanced-and-other-various-disabling-speed-boster/
I hope this helps.
Thank you!
Hello,
We have no reports of such bug and we all here have newspaper 6.7 on our testing platforms but we did not encounter this issue. Nor do we have reports form other users about this. Please try to increase your system status parameters like so: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/ and make sure you do not use any special characters in the widget section as wp also strips sidebars if any characters are detected (symbols or language specific characters)
Try it out and let us know if you still have issues with this.
Thank you!
