Great, thanks for your support!
I have one more question: There is a link “View all results” at the bottom of the search result, which has the “wrong” parameter/url for us, because we replaced the standard search.
I found the parameter located in /includes/wp_booster/td_ajax.php (row 237). If I perform the change on the original location, it works fine.
If I place the modificated file in my Child Theme ( /Newspaper-child/includes/wp-booster/td_ajax.php ), it doesn’t work. Is it possible to place the modifications in the Child theme for further updates?
Thanks in advance.
Hi,
You can update Visual composer using this guide – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/ and use the latest version provided within the theme package.
I can see that the problem you were having has been resolved – https://www.screencast.com/t/HHB14peM7
Thanks
Hi,
From what I can see when inspecting your website – https://www.screencast.com/t/RWxF5Tgg you have an older version of Visual composer. Try updating the plugin to the latest version from the theme package – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
Please note that you should update all the plugins provided with the theme along with the theme update for better functionality.
If you still have this issue please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login information and FTP access. Also paste a link to this topic for identification purposes.
Thanks
Hi,
At the moment the only available options for the post featured video are these – https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-image-or-video/
Additional options regarding this may be added in a future update, but we can not say if or when these will be implemented in the theme. Each update is meant to bring new features and improve the theme.
Maybe there are other plugins that you can try with this capability, or some other users here on the forum can share their solutions in this matter.
Thank you for understanding!
I could be wrong but I don’t think we started to have problems until February 2017. So I am not sure if there was anything in the last couple of updates that could be conflicting with our hosting environment in some strange way that could be causing the problem. However, the problem only occurs with the Newspaper theme.

Hope this old thread can be seen again now 🙂
Since of the last update, this does not work any longer. The edges are completely gone. The background color was lost as well during the update :-/
Can anything be done to fix it?

I’m not disputing the fact that the AMP templates can be edited. I make many customizations to mine and have to make them each time the plugin is updated.
What I would PREFER is the following:
— Someone searches Google for content and sees my site in the search results.
— Because they’re on a mobile device, they’re presented with a link to an AMP-compliant version.
— When they click the link, they are taken to a page that looks identical to any other page on my site when viewed on a mobile device.
I firmly believe that the first WordPress news-focused theme that can offer this experience will win big. I simply don’t understand why anyone here is defending a less-than-optimal experience for website visitors who come in by clicking on an AMP link in mobile search results.
Hi, Is there a way to change or hide the theme name from the source code. I have competitors and would like to hide how I’ve updated the site. It’s currently very easy to find in the code. Below is how it shows on my site.
<!–
Theme: Newspaper by tagDiv 2016
Version: 7.7 (rara)
Deploy mode: deploy
uid: 58daa0e01855b

I understand. What do I do to update Visual Composer?
Hi the team,
Since the theme 7.8 update, the modification I’ve made before (read above this topic) doesn’t work anymore.
Any idea ?
Hopefully we are talking about a few days not a few months but we cannot say for sure.
Hi Bodgan, do you have some update about final testing of wpml?
I read that Otto of WPML support are working on that.
Please let me know.
Hello,
A child theme is not update proof. No type of customization is. If you use a child theme it should be updated on each update if he files in your child theme have been modified in the main theme update. We sugest using the child theme that comes with the latest version of the theme.
Thank you!
Hello Berbi,
Our developers work to adjust the theme to this plugin version and in near future, we will release a new update with this improvement.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello amphol77,

Thanks for your understanding!
Hi there,
After an update, “Comments are closed.” now appears above the box where readers place comments. Comments are enabled on the theme and also checked on all posts. Discussions are turned on. I have no idea what happened, but I cannot figure out how to shut it off.
What is triggering this from inside the theme?

Hi there,
Can I install the latest visual composer 5.1 ? Is the theme ready for it or shall I wait for an update ?
Thanks in avdanced :).
Hi all,
I am having the same issue, have updated the plugin, and Fb says my app is fine.
Marc Ravaris
Because you don’t have a paid license, only a bundle license. So, you get a new version only when the theme is updated on themeforest and then latest/tested version is included for your use with theme.
Is there a way to convert the code for new template version?

I have another big big big issue with Siteground hosting.
I have a cloud server (3 CPU Cores, CentOS, 5GB RAM, 80GB SSD) and a few months I started to have some server down with this error: “503 service temporarily unavailable”. It appear about 1 time per hour approx. In last months I make a lot of changing, suggested by Siteground senior support (installed plugins, restricted bots visits…) They always said me that the issue was on the website where I have installe Newspaper template, and that might need to update it to solve this issue of server crash/down.
Well, after the total update the issue remain…
I think that could be for the big database (285 mb approx).
Do you have some experience with this server issue or some suggestion?
Thank you…

MailChimp works. (in general for any sort of plugins – use the Favorite, Most Popular etc to filter out the good ones. Also, a good check is to see if the plugin is currently supported, when last updated etc.).
I heard MailPoets also, but haven’t used it.
Dear all, is it fixed in new version released – or do we make manual update for the theme.
Please advise.
Hello there, I’ve updated the theme from 4.6 to 7.8.
I updated theme, wordpress (4.7.3), visual composer and all plugins.
But the home page is full of errors:
[td_slide_big limit=”12″ category_id=”4″ category_ids=”247, 128, 127, 8, 96, 9″ autoplay=”7″]
[td_block2 limit=”8″ ajax_pagination=”next_prev” category_id=”1″ header_color=”#1e73be” show_child_cat=”all”][td_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_1″]
[td_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″][td_social custom_title=”BE SOCIAL” icon_style=”2″ icon_size=”32″ facebook=”http://www.facebook.com/pages/*********″ googleplus=”https://plus.google.com/********″ instagram=”http://instagram.com/*********” twitter=”http://twitter.com/#!/***********” youtube=”http://www.youtube.com/user/************” header_color=”#0087a3″ open_in_new_window=”y” linkedin=”https://www.linkedin.com/company/********-com”][td_text_with_title custom_title=”APPUNTAMENTI” header_color=”#0087a3″]
Etc.etc…
You can see the home page here:

Please, can you help me to solve this issue?
Thanks.
welcome to WordPress. FYI, most complex themes use custom classes (e.g., td_) for custom code, custom plugins, and custom CSS to extend Visual Composer; this is partly to keep things organized for developers and also to minimize “collisions” with other theme developers. Most plugin devs do this also, whether it’s Yoast, Advanced Custom Fields (eg., “acf_blah”), etc.
Doesn’t it make sense if the theme has a custom plugin, custom menus, etc. that are intended for its own theme, to use custom classes?
You can use a proper programmer editor to do full search/replace in ALL files but no way to do this by hand, and also it means you won’t be able to do updates to theme without redoing all the changes.
Most savvy webdev folk can “figure out” which theme you use without too much trouble, so you’re not really hiding that from anybody except newbies looking at source code. “real devs” can easily deduce which theme it is.
I updated the template in zip format. I did not FTP. I cleaned the cache, but the problem was not resolved.

I appreciate your help – your support has always been great!
Are you sure that I have to overwrite anything in the child theme? I was using based on Newspaper V7.6 and have updated to V7.8.
I do not see any changes – correct?
