I have some trouble with the update.
The color of “related posts” have changed but I have not configured my site for a few days so I do not why.
And, a few weeks ago I saw with you so that the background of my categories are no longer used for article wallpaper. You have given me the tip here : https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/category-template-style-6-background/ but since the update, despite the removal of the code, I always have the background and I don’t know why either…

Hi,
I just updated our website to the latest version of Newspaper and it is no longer sending emails for user registrations, subscription emails, or any emails for our plugins. I have cleared the cache from cloudflare and through Super Cache. Any advice?

Thanks @Simion C. for your ideas. I tried them all, and none of them worked to remove the extra code. PS – I also discovered that the “Search” widget was duplicating itself as well.
My work-around was to:
1. Use a Text widget to re-create the Pages widget. I hand-coded the HTML to get the Pages to work correctly in the first Footer.
2. I removed the Search widget which was also duplicating itself from my right side-bar. Not a great workaround and definitely not a good User Experience for my website visitors, but there’s already a search function in the header, so I figured “what the heck.”
PS – These widgets were working fine prior to the last NewsPaper update (Version 7.7). I had not added any new Plugins, nor had I changed the Child theme in any way. So something got changed to cause the widget to get reproduced in the code. Hope that helps.

Update: I uploaded the theme through FTP in the wp-content/themes folder, This worked!! So if you are getting same error, do this. //Axel

Hi … i use newspaper for all my site.
Today i have update the theme and have a problem with ads.
I see the only header ad. Top article, inline bottom dont’ work
I use the same code for all my site.
I can’t use sidebar ads, custom ads and other.
In sidebar i hav put with “text” two ads .. but i don’t see.

If the issue is only on your pc, then you should check for any anti-virus/firewall, update the browser or clear the browser cache/ install a new browser.
If the theme and WP works on another pc then you should check your own pc for issues.

In PageSpeed there is a warning blocking issues related to

The only way to eliminate the problem is to put googlefont in css

Unfortunately the fonts code was changed in the current version as now all google fonts are loaded in the same query and loaded on the same line as google recommends. Please update your theme and check the speed again as the code you mention could not be needed anymore as we have changed the fonts implementation.

Thanks Catalin. After adding your code everything works fine. The text is now positioned inside the box. I assume that more people are facing this problem. Is it possible to repair this bug in the next update of Newspaper? If this is not possible, what are the optimal requirements (dimensions, sizes) of photos integrated in the TagDviv Slide Gallery?
Don’t you think the choice you made needs to be corrected? Do you really think is logical to show Post settings only to the users who can post? Contributors can write articles too!
I really hope you fix this “bug” in the next update release of this theme.

The menu of the categories that is at the top of my site mobilidadesampa.com.br after I did the update of the theme, the colors of the menu are gone.

There are no color categories: METRÔ, CPTM, TRANSIT, ROADS, CYCLING, SPTRANS, EMTU, MONOTRILHO and DAILY
Would you know how to help me put the colors back on?

I’ve extended the td_config class just to see if it works properly and so far it seems to have no issues running from the child theme. Adding single_post_template_14.php seems to work properly, it shows in the WP backend > Theme Panel and the files are located in the child theme, and it works like they were on the main theme.
I just want to make sure that this approach doesn’t create any major problems in terms of vulnerability or conflicts, so far it seems to work just fine. I’m attaching a screenshot with my code, I’ll appreciate if you please check it out and let me know if I need to change something.

In one of the recent Newspaper updates the Footer 1 function was apparently changed and I now have an extra “Pages” widget that I don’t want and can’t find to remove.
I have the correct “Pages” widget in Footer 1, which is working fine. However, for some reason there is now an extra phantom “Pages” widget that I cannot find in Footer 1 to remove. See the screen-shot:

Please keep in mind that at each update if you do not use the child theme and if the files which are changed cannot be written in the child theme, you will lose all of your modifications and then you should make them again.

I know that the theme API is not supported by the child theme but… Can you please tell me what do I need to load in the child-theme functions.php file so that I can get at least some basic support for td_config? At the moment I’m interested in adding new single post styles within the child theme’s structure (but not override the existing ones), just like you would for example use td_api_single_template::add(‘single_template_14’…
I can’t touch the main theme (td_config and so on) because I will lose everything at the next update.
I can handle the code, I just need some hints as to what should I do to be have td support within the child theme because I get “Class ‘td_api_single_template’ not found in ../child-theme/functions.php”. Should I create a new class to extend the main class td_config? What do I need to make it work properly?

Hey guys. After update, the block header 1 seems to have some problems.
Whenever I choose a background colour for the title, it will only colour the line beneath the text, but not the background of the text itself.
It only happens with BH-1. BH-3 has no problems. My website is http://leviathan.ro.

Unfortunately you will have to update the style.css as well because there are plenty of css modifications between the 2 versions. You should not alter the theme css file as the re is a custom css box in the theme panel where you can add your custom css. You will have to re-add your customization to the new file as using the old one would break the theme style.

From what I can see you are using a different page builder editor instead of Visual composer for your page, this may cause errors. You should create your pages in Visual composer – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/ and also make sure you are using the latest version that comes with the theme package – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/ Please try to disable all your plugins except Visual composer and see if the problem is still there. Then you can install the demo you choose – https://forum.tagdiv.com/installing-demos/
