Please make sure that you updated the theme and the Visual Composer plugin according with our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/ deactivate all others plugins just to be sure that there is no conflict between Visual Composer and one of your plugins, clear all caches and test again.

i can see on your screenshot that it displayed correctly but i have 2 PCs and i have used both of them to browse my posts, even this minute i tried again and here is how it displayed: http://www.screencast.com/t/iQWhaxgu

I use Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox on different PCs but still the same issue, other theme gives me the real result except my beautiful NewsMag, so i strongly believe that the theme is the cause because this was not an issue until i updated my theme to V 2.3.4. i would have loved to re upload the previous version but i can’t download it from theme forest anymore, only the new version is available.

please help.

I’ve checked your site and noticed that you’re using an older version of Visual Composer plugin. I am not sure if this affect the way your affiliate link works but you can try to update the plugin at the current version available with the theme on themeforest, V4.9, clear all caches, deactivate all others plugins, leave just Visual Composer active and test again.
If you still can’t manage to solve this issue please provide the code that you’re using via
http://pastebin.com/ so I can inspect this closer.

Well…. Thanks for that.
But it is still not so user friendly and I noticed that the website Editor could not manage/upload the Ads. Only webmaster/admin allowed to manage ads is not practical because some time there is only the Editor manage and updates the whole website alone.

Do you think I can install other third party Ads management plugin for custom ads managements?

First of all make sure you do a backup of your current theme/wp install and database also: https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups and in case something goes wrong in the update process you can always go back to the previous working version and try again. Then you have to edit the indicated file on your computer using a text editor. The file can be found in the folder that you downloaded from themforest here: http://screencast.com/t/92Jf4vsBt5QN After you make the changes upload the file via ftp on your server.

When the child theme it’s used for files customizations it’s a good practice to check update_log.txt file for each update and see what files had been modified so if those specific files are used in the child theme you will have to check your customizations to not break the functionality of the theme.

@rbemerson the way in which child theme works with our theme is by moving the file that you want to modify in Newsmag-child folder. You have to copy every file that you want to edit in child theme folder.
@DSLRMZ I have checked the child theme functionality and works fine. Please make sure that you’re using the child theme from the same package with the main theme: http://screencast.com/t/gwJPjoBUbvZ clear all caches, deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer and test again.

A little embarrassing but thanks Andrei – sorry for wasting your time. It seems I just need more sleep.

I failed to test this issue properly. It was in fact working in Safari for Mac, Firefox for Mac, Chrome for Mac, IE, Edge, Chrome for Windows – probably in every other browser except Firefox for Windows. I didn’t note down the version I was running – perhaps it was some setting that reset upon updating.

Anyway – unsure what it was, but I updated Firefox on my Windows machine to the latest version and everything is fine.

My question is this. If I do this update, what will it affect. Will my pages, post change or be affected.

Do I have to start creating some things afresh?

See the changelog to see what files changed for the child theme; as you need to update those as well.

This is why I don’t use child theme and just edit main theme then keep track of updates. With all the big changes to WP the past year, child themes just don’t work as easily as they once did — meaning child themes keep updating too which defeats the purpose! (my opinion only…)
