I fixed temporarily removing the logo for quant cast screen in mobile, because for some reason with this last update, the css of the theme goes over the css of the popup to quantcast. Without soon it doesn’t get the pop so big and out of place, but it’s still bad

Creates a blank space, among other things like a title, for example, problem now:

After the last update, the website on a mobile phone is no longer as it should be.

Font type is no longer correct, photos are no longer displayed and the menu no longer works.

Has something changed?

Today I updated the newspaper theme. After the update, it seems the newspaper widget is not working properly.

Is there a way to change the editors-style.css so that i can have the classic editor post editor look like my front end blockquotes. The current backend post editor has blockquotes look huge and ugly, and i want to change the css so it matches how i display them in an article. So i achieve an almost wysiwyg post editor, or as close as reasonable.

I used to be able to this with a child theme, but i believe that it is no longer supported to have an editors-style.css in child theme.

But if i hard edit the editors-style.css in the theme, i expect changes are lost with each update ???

I am a very low level knowledge website builder, and have used TagDiv Newspaper for some time due to its ease. I have found the need over time to use the Newspaper child theme so that I can add code to functions etc.

My question is this, I presume when i update my theme that the core theme updates, but does the child theme?

If not do I need to update the child theme manually to reflect changes to core Newspaper files ?

If I read it correctly here in the forum, you can use a key for both a live site and a test site, right? Because for me it doesn’t work, in a test site some functions of the theme are locked, I can’t even update the theme.

This is annoying, because I don’t want to put an update in the live site without testing it first.

Hello!

When the update will be released, then we will publish a page with what’s new and some description about the new features, other resolved issues, etc.

Thank you!

Hello!

I recommend you to make a full backup, update the theme and plugins to the latest version 11.4.3 or wait for the new update release which is in testing mode.

Thank you!

Hi Bettina,

Sorry it has taken a few days to get back to you.
I’v had a look in the Time-Machine section under Updates, and I can’t see the version that Calin had suggested, which is “Newspaper v111 package”.
Is there anyway I can get a link to download this version. I’m doing a lot of running around to find it with no success.

Thank you.
Cheers, Matt

Hello,

Please accept my apologies, sadly, there are situations where the plugins are not installed and activated, however, the update process may be interrupted by one of the extra plugins you use.
Therefore, I recommend that only the tagDiv plugins be activated for the next update.

Thank you!

I just simply restored my site to an earlier backup. But man… this update was catastrophic. I just have a simple WordPress site. Nothing fancy at all. Using a very popular theme. By the looks of the forum, I am not alone. Might want to re-think these theme updates. Or try them out on a small focus group before making them public. I LOVE the theme. But I am extremely weary of updates from here on out. Yikes.

Hi,
I was wondering if you would be able to help me with my mobile issues. I am getting google search console increasingly flagging some of my pages for odd issues.

This is one of the pages that got flagged recently, that was okay since I wrote the article.
https://autoknowit.com/p0420-catalyst-system-efficiency/
The issues that are being flagged are ,
text to small to read
clickable elements to close together
content wider than screen

I am confused as I have used the tag div builder which is responsive, why am I having these issues?
I also am having a serious issue trying to change the font size across my website, I can change the font size and it does not update site wide.

Help, I do not have much hair left to pull out at this point,
Thanks for your help/.

Hello

Can you provide a roadmap for the new theme update coming this week so I can review

Hi. This does not really make sense to me.

Child theme? What’s that?

All I know is that I installed the normal newspaper 11 theme.

So are you saying, if I run the update. I will need to redo many things on my current live site?

However… when I access the site while not logged into WP and/or from another browser while I’m not logged in… the site appears to be fine. But while I’m logged in, the HOME page is all code. How can I fix this? All I did was update the theme. My site is TheRedPillRevolution.com.

After updating the theme, my homepage currently looks like this: https://theredpillrevolution.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/Screen-Shot-2022-05-11-at-1.51.30-PM.png

The rest of the site is all jacked-up as well.

I think that it is not the object cache, but rather the little buttons for loading templates and adding a mobile page screenshot of buttons that the theme update has added to the admin panel. These add a layer on the home page when logged in as admin. There’s no way to get rid of them, and they prevent any clicks on the menus and the admin header.

Hi,

Please let me know if during the update you had other extra plugins activated, if so, then they may interfere with the theme update process.

Thank you!

Hi! Every time I do an update of Newspaper, the tagDiv Composer and tagDiv Cloud Library plugins uninstall themselves.

This causes my website to look like this after every update:

Now that I’m aware this is happening, I know that I just have to go and re-install those plugins everytime there’s a Newspaper update, and then clear the site cache to make the site look normal again. But it’s a bit annoying, and I’m fairly sure it’s not meant to be like this.

Any suggestions for how I can fix this?
