Good morning,
I am using the most updated version of Newspaper.
I am creating a widget using the [tagDiv] Block 15.
I want to filter by only 1 category, but the drop down menu only gives me “parent” categories and not “child” categories, while I only need 1 “child” category.
How do I resolve this problem?

Hello!
The child theme is not overwritten by the update. If you’ll have some custom modifications directly in the theme files, then better save the code and replace it after the update.
Make sure that the posts use a cloud template in order to edit them with the TagDiv Composer.

The latest version is 11.4.3, of course, a new update will be available this week.
Normally, it shouldn’t affect your website, but if you’ve made changes to the theme files, they will be rewritten (unless they’re saved in the child theme).
However, it is recommended that you have a backup made before update the theme, to all files and databases. You can also update on a staging/test website.

The new updates are hugely buggy. I had to downgrade from 11.4.3 to 11.4.2 because the menus on desktop were inaccessible. Update to this: the menus are inaccessible on 11.4.2 when logged in.
After downgrading, I can no longer access the admin panel from the homepage when logged in because if the location of the little buttons to create a mobile page and to ‘load templates’.
The recent update (maybe to 11.2 or so) broke the formatting for the posts loop of latest posts. The photos disappeared, and now it’s only 1 column even though 2 columns is set in the options. This issue is weird because it looks fine in TD Composer, but doesn’t work when it renders the page.
When can we expect the bugs to be taken care of?
The Theme panel is not allowing me to save any updates. Meaning I can’t update ads or content of any sort. Completely unacceptable..
The ‘Save Settings’ button in Theme panel does not save any new changes. I’ve attempted to change ads, update footers and headers. Nothing is saving. The themes loading animation just keeps moving around but not saving anything. Just keeps cycling around.
We need ads changed ASAP. I’ve tried with multiple browsers, Reverted to an older version but nothing has worked.

Which should be done first so that the change does not go away in the update there is no problem with the operation of the theme ?
1-First create a Child theme. then making changes to the child theme.
2-Making changes to theme files. Then create a child theme. Then select the child theme.
I see tagdiv composer only on pages. I do not see it in the posts. Is this normal?

Also, there is an issue with exchange widget, not working and says api error.
I have updated api keys many times but it doesn’t work at all.
Recently I install Prebuilt Website on my site – itkhoj.com, but on mobile device it shows old theme and any update make on this site doesn’t shows on mobile device.
I was already cleared all chache from browser, wordpress cache plugin, CDN and from hosting account.
If I deactivate tagDiv Mobile Theme, then only it shows new changes on mobile device.

We are having issues updating the Video Playlist element with our latest YouTube videos. There are currently 5 old videos that appear in the Playlist element on our home page, but when we try to replace the video id’s with more recent video id’s, we only get a blank screen in the section (no video thumbnails or titles appear).
Also, the Video Playlist settings do not show options to set the Source (we would like to show recent videos by channel, or user, so we don’t have to constantly update with the most recent videos).
Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this?

If you mean page speed, then you need to take into account:
External factors: server speed, if you are using CDN or not, the external resources loaded by your website like ads, fonts, tracking scripts like Facebook Pixel, Google Analytics, Twitter analytics, Hotjar and so on.
Internal factors: the number of elements on the page, image size, image formats, if you are using mobile optimized layouts, console errors.
Our developers are working a lot to improve the page speed in every update, so the latest version of the theme is 11.4.3. Make sure that all the plugins are up to date too.

Hi,
There will be a new update released for the Newspaper theme, I believe it will be available this week most likely. Our developer team fixed the problems that are now happening with various plugins regarding vue.
Initially they fixed it for conflicts with the AIO plugin specifically, but after we received more feedback from our users there were more modifications, to try and prevent such issues from happening anymore.
When the new update is released, update the theme and please let us know if the issues are solved. We are very sorry for this situation. Some users with similar issues reverted to the previous theme version due to the problem. If you haven’t done the same, then the only option would be to wait a little more time until the new update is released.

The latest version of the theme is 11.4.3. Make sure that all the plugins are up to date too.
You can change the search function with another one, using a plugin or something custom.
Make a test and deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using a cache plugin, deactivate it, clear all cache and try again.
If these issues are not solved after that, then we need to take a look and see what happened there.

That is one of the main differences between Newspaper and Newsmag, the capability to edit templates with the composer.
The Newsmag theme provides only standard predefined templates, which will only display the elements that are defined in the template files. If you would like to display something after the content it would require editing the file corresponding to the post template you are using, and entering it there. I can mention how it can be done.
But before that, is it a shortcode that you would like to add? Or what kind of code exactly? There may be another way, which is to enter the code in article bottom ad spot in the theme panel https://i.imgur.com/iNdq8d2.png assuming the spot is not used for an ad. Or maybe they can both function from there.
If that does not work or is not possible for some reason, then the only option would be to enter the code in the post template file directly. A child theme can be used so the modification won’t be lost after a theme update. We can discuss more, let me know.

Please make sure the tagDiv Standard Pack plugin is updated and activated.
Those shortcodes and the error are from tagDiv Standard Pack, and this plugin is not required from version 10.4, because the new demos are using cloud templates.

Apparently that’s not the problem. In an old version of the Newsmag theme (4<) it worked fine. I recently bought the new version and since the update it has stopped working. Not even now, with version 5. This only affects shares via whatsapp. It is not a break for the size of the image, according to Whatsapp standards. Neither the image (thmbnail) nor the post description appears in the share. The og:image tag seems to be correctly added, so it works for other networks (eg FB, IG, Telegram). But it doesn’t work for Whatsapp. I’ve been trying to solve this problem for a year, without identifying what the cause is!

If there is a problem, then you need to verify the file from the child theme and adjust it to the update.
Access Newspaper -> Updates and press the button check for updates.
