I was using Newspaper9 version on my website.The support period had expired long time ago. Today, I purchased your Newspaper X. I deactivated Newspaper 9. Now I am trying to install Newspaper X wordpress zip file only. But it’s not getting installed. Please guide me how to update/install it. Please provide me your guide & step-by-step instructions to do it.

We have a serious image loading problem on the newspaper theme. It started since we updated the theme version. I installed autoptimize plugin but it created a problem that images are not visible, every image compression plugon created a loading problem. Right now, there’s no plugin and the site works with the theme default settings. But as you can see, there’s a problem in some of the post (with a sidebar) – https://www.allinallspace.com/here-are-all-the-satellites-orbiting-the-earth-in-2019/

What is the problem and how can I fix it?

Since the Update in May the cumulative layout shift caused by the newspaper theme is a serious problem because all my sites for desktop and mobile are marked as poor in the Google Search Console. I get different informations what is causing the cumulative layout shift when the elements are showing up in the viewport:

– missing container for the header-logo-image (desktop)
– div#td-top-mobile-toggle>i.td-icon-font>::before (mobile)
– <p style=”text-align: justify;”> (div.td-container>article#post-35>div.td-post-content>p (mobile)
– all font-awesome icons (flash because of unstyled content) (mobile, desktop)

and so on. The cumulative layout shift is part of the web core vitals introduced by Google with the last update. If a site fails the web vitals its very critical for the ranking in the google search. I don’t know what I should do anymore – it’s not possible to decrease the cumulative layout shift because the main issues are to find in the layout itself. Maybe you can offer some help.

I always get this problem and it seems I always have issues resolving it.
The Instagram footer is not updating. I have the account connected. If I remove the instagram ID then the footer updates but then there is nothing to show after the FOLLOW US ON INSTAGRAM @
then if I add the ID back it reverts to the un-updated images.

Last time I solved this by reentering the ID and clearing all cache from plugins and browser.
I have done all of this but cant get it to work.

Hi,

One of my websites is using WMPL with newspaper theme. It worked just fine before. Now I received this error when edit the page related to WMPL. “Error at rows: 2(models) : 1(dom). The model does not match the content Current state has involved an issue.”

But when edit regular page without switching to other language. It works fine. Already updated everything to the latest version.

Please help.

I want to enter my license key to activate the theme. But when I go to the Newspaper, the ‘Activate Theme’ tab is not appearing. It shows only the following tabs: Welcome, Plugins, Support, Install Demo, System Status, Updates and Theme Panel. But I cant see any ‘Activate Theme’ tab so I don’t know where to enter the license key. When I clicked on activate theme in System Status, it states “Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.”

Could you please tell me how I can re-active the theme after I have uninstalled and re-installed it?

Note: I am using the theme in only one domain and I am not trying to use it in multiple domains.

I am spending too long trying to find out what modules are used in Flex Blocks. This page – https://forum.tagdiv.com/theme-blocks-modules/ – gives the modules used in standard Blocks but doesn’t mention which modules are used in each of the 5 Flex Blocks. Nor do these pages on Flex Blocks – https://tagdiv.com/go-beyond-flexibility-new-flex-block/ & https://forum.tagdiv.com/flex-block-settings-guide/

I am trying to make a default font setting for Article Title for my Flex Blocks in Theme Panel/Theme Fonts/Font Settings, but there is no mention there of Flex Blocks.

Where, for example, does one make the default setting for Flex Block 3/Style/Module Fonts/Article Title 1 and Flex Block 3/Style/Module Fonts/Article Title 2?

The Article Title parameter seems to follow default font type, presume from Body – General Font but where are the other parameters in Theme Panel? If there are none, why offer default in Flex Block settings? At the least the documentation mentioned above needs to be updated, expanded, clarified.

Hi, when I have activated my theme after reuploading the backup. I didn’t see the activation tab however my theme appears unactivated in the updated tab. And when I press on the activate button, I saw this page (see the screenshot below!)

I want to make changes to the general default single post template via php
As I’ve already searched through all of the documentation on how to work with child themes, my final understanding seems to be that only the templates 1-13 can be edited with a child theme but not the default post template?

So then I wanted to create a solution that is most likely update-proof and requires little effort to update.

I’ve created a hook: <?php do_action(‘after_single_post_footer’); ?>
In the /wp-content/plugins/td-standard-pack/Newspaper/loop-single.php:67
and then call the hook from my /wp-content/themes/newspaper-child/functions.php

add_action(‘after_single_post_footer’,’add_read_further’);
function after_single_post_footer () {
//some function
}

However this will not work. The only way I seem to be able to add actual content is when hardcoding the HTML into the loop-single.php, which is what I wanted to prevent.

Just in case, I’ve tried creating a page with the Cloud Templates and also was thinking about the API, but then again you seem only be able to edit the templates 1-13 but not the default one.
We have just over 2000 posts that are set to default template manually, so adding a new one is out of the question, as I wont manually change all of them.

Do you have any ideas on how I might be able to change the default post template via php such that I have a theme update proof solution?

Many advertising networks require to place ADS script immediately after BODY opening, and common plugins (like Insert Header and Footer plugin) fail to do it with Newspaper theme.
So in the past I used this method with success:

FUNCTIONS.PHP

But now, after I updated Newspaper theme to the latest version, it doesn’t work anymore.

And I have also disabled STANDARD PACK to speed up website, considering that I’m working now only with Cloud Templates stuff, so I cannot use the HEADER of the STANDARD PACK to place the code.

Any suggestions to place Scripts immediately after BODY opening without using STANDARD PACK?
