I think the problem is TD composer, since last update I get error 500 if plugin is active. I opened a ticket about this and i’m waiting.

Hello,
It seemed that the problem on the news filter had been solved, but again there are articles that are not of the news category that are shown as if they were. We tried to update the setting from the page modification, but it has not been resolved. What can it be due to?
In particular, the problem is related to the news box on the homepage https://www.fumettologica.it in which the article https://www.fumettologica.it/2020/04/bruno-brindisi-alex-toth-fumetti/ it is shown even if it is not present in the news category!

I did as the guide says and the theme was updated correctly.

But now I have a very big problem: after update, tagdiv plug-ins make crash the syte and I get error 500 every time. If I deactivate tagdiv plugins, everything works fine.

Thanks for your reply Calin. I have followed all the optimization instructions. However, I avoided https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tutorial-chriss-custom-optimizations-for-functions-php-etc/ because I don’t know if the codes there will conflict with the ones I already have on my site.

Meanwhile, I will observe to see if the speed improves on Google Search Console reports.

If there’s no substantial improvement, I might have to purchase your speed improvement service. Meaning, I’ll have to do that for every theme update.

What about security? Even after upgrading to Newspaper X (following your steps), WP says we are still using WP Bakery 5.2.1 while the latest and updated version is 6.1.

Our main objective while upgrading is to improve security and solve that issues using theme’s latest version available.
May we rest thinking our site is safe and all plugins are up-to-date with Newspaper X?

Further update, it’s clearly pulls from the “Content-width” settings for the Single Post Content element. If you change that, the max-width it sets changes with it. The issue is that I never set mine, and it looks like the default is auto, so I’m not sure why the theme is choosing to inject that 335px max width.

I attach video of the failure that creates when an article is made and after a while I do not know why it stops looking correct and comes out as in the video and you just have to give it an update from quick edition and then it comes out ok.
