Hi – I’m also having the same issue where the – Homepage Latest Articles – section is not showing in the same way as the original post described above. I am also using Classic Editor plugin.
I disabled Classic Editor as suggested and again tried to edit the page, but the ‘Homepage Latest Articles’ section still is not showing.
When I go to ‘Screen Options’ or the equivalent in Gutenberg, the checkbox for ‘Homepage Latest Articles’ is visible and is checked. I tried checking and unchecking it but nothing happens. If I uncheck other screen options, they disappear as expected, and return when I re-check them.
So I am not able to get ‘Homepage Latest Articles’ to appear in either editor.
WP 5.0.3
Theme 9.5
All plugins are updated
Thank you.
That’s the listing I got from the plugin SpeedBooster.

I found a very odd phenomenon about the speed of website.
I have set up several websites base on Newspaper theme.
One is the web https://nzlifenz.com/ which uses dedicated hosting from Bluehost with hight performance(4 Cores, 8 Threads,Speed 3.3GHz,RAM 16G,)
Another is web http://eaglevisiontimes.nz/ which only based on share hosting from Bluehost.
But I found the speed of eaglevisiontimes.nz always is faster than nzlifenz.com.
I have try my best to improve the speed of nzlifenz.com,according to https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
I have used the plugin WP Super Cache.
I have tried SpeedBooster plugin but it have no improvement so I disactived it.
I don’t know what is the main reason.They both use Newspaper theme.their difference is only that nzlifenz.com uses Newspaper V9.1 but eaglevisiontimes.nz uses Newspaper V8.5.1.
So I wonder if it’s because of the version of the theme.
I dare not update the theme anymore now.
Can anybody check it for me ?
Thank you very much.
This procedure seems to be for first theme instalation.
I’m trying just to insert a new update in a totally well working version.
It doesn’t help me too much, sorry.

Ok now I’ve got it. Newspaper was up-to-date, but “booster” wasn’t. How could that happen? I updated it manually and it’s fine now.
Hi,
Our theme packet comes bundled with the Visual Composer 5.6 as a version. In a future update, we will include the 5.7 version, after we have tested this kind of version with our theme. Meanwhile, read this -> https://help.market.envato.com/hc/en-us/articles/213762463-Bundled-Plugins
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
We will try and add more newsletter providers in the newsletter plugin, in coming updates. So for the moment you could add the form code in a text element (column text or text with title), that will work.
Thanks
Hi,
This is the theme update guide – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
Please follow it and update the theme.
Thanks
Do you use a child theme maybe? If you do, deactivate it and try again. Be sure to check the theme requirements guide, increase the wp-memory if needed
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
We recommend a value of 256M, this would be enough for most websites. Also clear all caching you have and purge CDN files after you update.
Basically the settings are mostly the same, some have been renamed or moved. They should be like this – https://www.screencast.com/t/O4bGofxq
The new theme documentation is almost ready, it will contain the updated guide for this plugin as well. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Hi,
This can be achieve using header builder and edit/build a menu after your needs -> https://tagdiv.com/whats-new-in-newspaper-theme-9-5-update/
or you can use custom css -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/create-custom-code-using-the-browsers-inspector/
-> https://www.screencast.com/t/xczr10qfu
body {
margin-top: 25px;
}
You can set the code in Newspaper>theme panel>Custom code>Custom css
Thank you
Hi,
Please note that the tagDiv Header builder is part of tagDiv Cloud Library, that is why you need to have it installed.

Thank you for your understanding!
Hi,
Unfortunately we can not say when this option will be implemented, but I think this will be implemented in the coming updates!
Thank you for your understanding!
Hi,
Please try this and see if this is working

-> https://www.screencast.com/t/ymGdm8AR
Header Builder -> https://tagdiv.com/whats-new-in-newspaper-theme-9-5-update/
If there is still a problem please provide some more details and some screenshots.
Thank you!
@all Please see this topic – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/after-updating-to-version-9-5-the-site-does-not-work/
If you use a child theme and copied the header.php file in it, note that the file has been modified by us in the latest update. Re-copy it from the main theme and redo your modifications or code additions. Serving the old file from a child theme can create issues. Let us know if there are still problems.
Hi,
Updating to the latest version (now 9.5) would be in this case like switching to a new theme because of the differences between such an old theme and the current version. There was such a script from what I can remember quite a while ago in version 7 I believe. But this is not possible anymore.
There is an update guide here – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
Remember to scan the database for malware, code in the theme panel, child theme etc. Currently when I visit the website my PC becomes almost unusable, this could be due to malware of some kind – https://www.screencast.com/t/lN5TWpUhS1
Thanks
Hi, Thank you for your reply. I checked but my theme panel is not updated. Its 9.2. from where can I update it.
Thank you.
That is the exact guide I read through prior to my first attempt. I read it again.
I carefully followed the directions, updating plugins, clearing cache, etc. but still I get a blank page.
I put the old version of Newspaper back and all is well. I’m not sure what else I can do? I will have to remain with the older version or hire TagDiv to update it for me.
I did an update the other day and the composer now does not show up on the add a new post page. Any advice? Nothing has changed on the server side. Just a normal newspaper theme update. I also tried updating the plugins and everything else seems normal.
Hi, I recently updated the theme, and since then, on my main page (http://arribaelcampo.com.mx) all the main featured images for each article dissapeared. The image is still contained in each individual post, but not on the main front page, which is I believe very important. Can some help me solve this problem?
Hi,
When do you plan to integrate AMP in the translation settings? I don’t feel comfortable modifying the code as it gets lost when overwritten with updated theme.
Thanks
Thank you for solving me the problem. Just two things:
1. When I choose no header, there is always a white space at the top, and I have to add a -50px margin at the top row to hide it. I just let you know that to see if you can solve it in future updates.
2. How can I hide the footer like the header? I don’t see that option.
Personally, the Empty Page option in the page attribute was great, and I don’t know why you decided to delete that option.
Thank you!
Hi @adatkabel,
Please make sure that the theme system status is configured as mentioned in the requirements guide. Please follow the guide carefully
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
and please increase all requirements that are lower, and follow all steps.
WP_MEMORY_LIMIT try to increase it to a value of double you already have if possible.
Also make sure that all theme plugins are updated and activated, clear all cache and try again.
Thank you.
HI,
I’ve updated the recent news mag theme. Added in the new js_composer.zip plugin. When i check the plugin it says “There is a new version of WPBakery Page Builder available”
Has the new WPBakery Page Builder update been added to the recent news mag update?
