Hi,
We have not tested this plugin, so I cannot make any recommendation, sorry!
If other users can help with some suggestions, they are free to update the topic.
Thanks!
Hi,
The link of the image has no property by default, you could add it here
– https://www.screencast.com/t/pNjN9rWK9xPi
It will apply to the links you set in the image box
– https://www.screencast.com/t/KFkL0RRP3Hvb
The file can be modified in a child theme so the modification will not be lost after an update

Thanks

Hi, I’ve been trying to update from 8.7.2 to the latest build. Following the instructions for manual / FTP update, copy pasting the folder. However after overwriting everything nothing changes. I’m still on 8.7.2.
What am I doing wrong? Missing out something?
Thanks in advance
I updated to the latest theme and have been having issues with VC and noticed you guys recommend moving to the td page builder however after following instructions and creating a new blank page to rebuild the home page the td builder just keeps loading and spinning but does not allow me to update. Can you help me? (Kiem-tv.com). Email me at info@960humboldt.com or mrgarcia707@gmail.com to get this resolved as soon as possible. Thank you!
Hi,
The child theme is for theme files, you can’t modify plugin files in the child theme. The modifications you want to make will have to be made in the main plugin files.
Once made maybe back up the file from the plugin, replace the new one after a update with this modified file.
Be sure to test if that plugin is compatible with AMP first, it could cause validation problems.
Thanks
The comments list (previously registered) for both posts are not showing up. If I enable comment count, the right number shows up, but the list of comments is never showing up in pages, only shows up in posts. It looks like the theme was not meant to show comments in pages – if that’s the case, what’s the php template I’ve got to edit in order to add the list of comments? – thanks.
PD In the future, when the theme gets updated, I guess I’m going to loose this changes, should I create a child theme to make sure that doesn’t happen?
Make sure all of your plugins were updated as well for the theme and then reactivated. I had that happen as well
Hi,
With updated theme with active JS composer frontend works well but server gives error 500 when trying to edit or create new topic. With activation of TD composer both front and back end are not working.
What to do?
Hello spexdj,
Please update the theme to the latest version of it, remove all of the untested plugins, clear all the caches and check the results. Notice that the first steps for WordPress debugging is to follow these steps and check the results.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks for your understanding!
I’m specifically looking to update the wp-content/plugins/td-amp/templates/single.php file so to include some social sharing by Super Socializer.
Cheers, Sas

Hi,
Pages cannot have categories, they can have a parent/child relation but by default in WordPress only posts can be organized in categories. Maybe you are referring to posts.
In the theme the breadcrumbs will display one level of parent child, so the last parent category, the sub-category then the post name. Can’t say if this will change in the theme in future updates.
I will however add a request on our list (if it’s not already added), to give an option to display the whole path to the article. It will be considered. Sorry for any inconvenience.
Thanks
Hi,
I believe there are plans to improve and extend the header options in a coming update. This will allow greater possibilities for designing a header. I can’t say how long before this will happen unfortunately.
Thank you for the suggestions, they are noted.
Hi Simion,
I have tried to change the wording following your instructions.
But it does not seem to be working.
When I update the translation to another word,
‘Home’ still remains in the breadcrumb.
If taking out the css code really does not work. I’ll leave it for now. But this is something to correct in future updates.
I have lovely borders in my newly updated website, but the text is jammed up against them. Is there a way that I can add padding so that the posts are easier to read? Thanks.
The plugins that come bundled with the theme are updated with every new theme update. So, just ignore the message until the next version of the theme comes up.
Good afternoon…
I already did an update of vcs once and had to redo many things. This is not the best way to solve this problem. Several other theme for wordpress providers pass me the locations of the codes and I solve them quickly. You are the only ones who unfortunately respond to this, unfortunately that.
Need help.
Hi,
No, you will not lose the theme panel settings. These are saved in the database, so even if the theme is updated this will not remove your settings. Custom code is also saved, ad codes etc. Basically everything from the theme panel.
There is also an export/import feature so the theme panel settings can be backed up
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/import-export-theme-settings/
Thanks
I’ve been reading about the process of updating the theme and the need for creating a child theme, but I have a question about the Theme Panel settings. If I go into the Newspaper Theme Panel and select a header type, make selections for the breadcrumbs, theme colors, fonts, etc. and then I update my theme when a new version comes out, do I lose all those settings every time I update? I’m not talking about going into the code and making manual edits — I’m just talking about using the dashboard Theme Panel to make custom settings. Second question, will I lose content I put in the Custom Code panel within the Theme Panel when I update the theme? Thanks
You can always download the theme package from your themeforest account. The latest version is 9.0.1.
If you have a theme package downloaded check the update log inside it, the version is mentioned there
– https://www.screencast.com/t/KtGt7rDd
You can install the theme in the sub-domain, no problem there. Activate it with the same key. Once you are sure the new website is up and running fully, remove the theme from the old website.
The theme has an export/import feature for the theme panel settings
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/import-export-theme-settings/
You can export the theme panel settings from the old website and import them in the new one, or make them again if you choose so.
Ok, thank you.
Is it possible to make a request for a future update?
You already did a great job with filters and offest posts.
thanks, the plugin is active, newxt update is work.
Thanks
Hi, I’ve been using Newspaper theme since a long time now. Recently, the version 9 update caused major issues in my website. the TD composer doesn’t work. The page loads into a blank page. I disabled all the plugins, reinstalled the theme through fresh download but the problem didn’t resolve. I can’t find any error in the console windows either.
I also installed a wordpress blog separately just to test the theme and surprisingly the same issue was there even with the fresh wordpress install. I can’t seem to find a fix for this problem. TD Composer always fails to load.
I checked my system status and I meet all the requirements. Here’s a screenshot of my system status: https://ibb.co/cbdJpe
Please help me resolve this issue.
