Hello,
The mobile theme will not use visual composer so it will not use the visual composer shortcodes. Please remove every element from your homepage mobile editor as the mobile theme uses a predefined layout. Please use this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Thank you!
Hi,
Your theme will need updating too and your plugins as well.
Please use this guide to update your theme to the latest version: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ and then use the guide you mentioned to update visual composer. You will also need to update the social counter plugin. You can use the same method by removing it from the plugins section and deleting files and then installing the plugin again from the main theme archive you download from envato.
Thank you!
Hi,
We have no other reports of this yet. WP super cache was tested to work with our theme and we are not aware of other problems with it except for one with the mobile theme. But for the desktop, there were no issues.
Please try to use these settings: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
If you still have trouble with wp super cache try to only leave it and visual composer active as plugins tend to create conflicts between them as well, not just between them and the theme.
Let us know how it goes.
Thank you!
Hello,
This could be happening from multiple reasons. First of all please make sure you increase your system status parameters like this guide suggests: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
If that does not solve the issue, please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it.
Let us know if you still have trouble with visual composer.
Thank you!
Hello,
Please make sure you have the latest theme version and the latest version of visual composer installed.
Use these 2 guides:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
You do not need to ‘register/ activate’ your copy of visual composer as the guide above says. You can simply ignore this message and use the plugin like it is.
Thank you!
Hello,
You could simply be in classic editing mode. Press the backend editor button to go back to the back-end editor like so: http://screencast.com/t/JEo8jc5kbSQ
If this option is not available please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cnd files if you use it. Also make sure the page editing is checked in your plugin settings: http://screencast.com/t/ntQIGdDDTeZh
Let us known how it goes.
Thank you!
HI
The theme does not have specific sort order options for category pages but as alternative you could try to use a block from Visual Composer. There you can use post id filter and the posts will be displayed in same exact order as the ids were insert in this filed: http://screencast.com/t/D0kCP1oc
After the block is set use do_shortcode function to echo out the shortcode on that category page. The code must be added in category.php page here: http://screencast.com/t/mIrs3SDaaFez
Hope this helps!
Thanks!
Hello,
Please try to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. If there is a plugin conflict, this will remove it. If the problem is still there without plugins, please check your ssl implementation and remove your modifications to see if that is the cause.
Here is a guide on how to properly add ssl to WP: http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-add-ssl-and-https-in-wordpress/
Thank you!

Hello –
I am a high school teacher with no training in web development. Our journalism class is struggling to edit our homepage because the visual composer never loads. It just keeps saying “Loading, please wait”. Can anyone assist?
Thanks!
Hi
I am not sure why this happens but it could be a conflict caused by some plugins. Try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches then test the site again.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks!
Hello hemant90,
Your website has been inspected, and I concluded that you are not correctly used the mobile theme concept.
I suppose that you do not understand very good how mobile theme works, right? So, please notice that this theme concept intend to display a Big Grid feature at the top of homepage which shows the posts which are included in Featured category, then will show a text which you added in Mobile Editor in Visual Composer from backend and at the very bottom of the page you will bring the Latest Articles module. Please keep in mind that the Mobile Theme do not recognize the Visual Composer shortcode and that’s why you get this error on your side. So, for more information about our mobile theme, please check the documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ If you are unhappy with this layout, and if you want to have the similar structure with our demo mobile, you will simply turn off the mobile plugin and the theme will be automatically switched to the general responsive mobile mode.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello g10ktk,
If you want to use that Call to Action element from Visual Composer for sidebar under different categories or posts, please notice that you should copy/paste the shortcode for this element in Widgets area, in a text block. First of all, you will have to choose a widget which you use it for posts and category pages as Sidebar. First of all, from the Visual Composer editor, you should take the shortcode for this element, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/DaxLfZ7jUp -> http://screencast.com/t/mVVHX19P -> http://screencast.com/t/Ku4jr1HK -> http://screencast.com/t/p0nusOsfn7Q and the result you should see here -> http://screencast.com/t/Wpdcn0fp
Hope this helps!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello jo,
I have investigated your website and your source page and I noticed that you are using a lot of untested plugins which can interact with the theme and cause this type of issue. I have tested the latest version of the theme to my side and the Ajax Filter still working as properly without any issues. Please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme and rule out any conflicting plugins.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello,
I cannot install a plugin for you based only on your website url.
Please use this guide and check the final part of the tutorial as there are instructions there on how to install the plugin: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
The mobile theme plugin also has trouble if incompatible plugins are active. You should disable all other plugins except visual composer and clear cache if the mobile theme provides an error when installing.
Thank you!
Hello,
We are not sure why this happens as we have no reports of such issue with our theme. Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it.
Then test the menu again. Please let us know if you still have trouble with the menu.
Thank you!
Hello,
the thumb is being cropped center top, but your block has some implementation that is changing the thumb size.
I suspect you are not using the recommended visual composer layout. Pleas only use these 3 columns if you want theme elements to position properly: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/
Thank you!

Hello,
I have tested your site on Firefox and it seems that only the background disappears. http://screencast.com/t/fw55kqbkDk the icons are intact.
Please disable all plugins except visual composer. clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Then test your theme on Firefox again. There could be a plugin conflict affecting the layout on particular browsers.
Thank you!
Hello there,
I’ve been having some difficulties with the mobile version after the update, I’ve searched and tried many suggestions but no luck.
I have
Wordpress: 4.6.1
Newspaper 7.4 [installed via envato toolkit]
Visual comp: 4.12.1 [manual install]
Social counter: 4.1 [manual install]
Slide rev: 5.2.5.1 [manual install]
Speed booster: 4.5 [activated, however, in theme panel system status it say’s it’s deactivated due to a number of other plugins]
Currently my website is in the default mobile version. When I install the latest mobile plugin the site is unusable and you can only see the following error message.
wp booster error:
td_api_base::mark_used_on_page : a
component with the ID: td_remote_cache is not
set.
wp booster error:
Missing parameter: ‘file’
Fatal error : Class ‘td_remote_cache’ not found
in /home/theindianfeed303/public_html/wp-
content/plugins/td-social-counter/
td_social_api.php on line 48
If I deactivate and delete the booster plugin, but leave the mobile plugin installed, I still have the same error message.
If I install the booster but delete the mobile plugin, then the mobile website works by default style.
So, this lets me know it’s the mobile plugin.
From the forums I found a similar problem and the temporary solution was to install mobile plugin v1. When I use install this plugin, my website shows the mobile version! however, it will not load any menus on the drop down. So I have removed all and gone for default but now I can’t change the colours etc.
Any suggestions welcome
You should try it locally cause I can’t disable plugins on the live site. The screenshot above is relative to a local install with only the child theme and the Visual Composer installed, nothing else: no other plugins, no customizations, nothing of nothing. So I think you can be able to reproduce the error on your pc.
Thanks
Hi,
The Visual Composer that comes bundled with the theme is licensed to the theme and only we can provide updates. In each theme version released we provide the latest version of V.C. available on market, so if you use version 7.4 of the theme, you can also update the Visual Composer plugin to version 4.12.1 which is provided in the theme package. Here you can find a guide if you need to update the plugin – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
Thanks!
Hello nasaboy,
1)You can change that picture from your backend. When you edit your homepage, you can change it from here -> http://screencast.com/t/AqYsyTEzkuu ->from ROW settings you can change the image.
2)These are some blocks which can be changed from your backend. For more information about how you can use the Visual Composer, please read here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/
3)This is talking about Ajax Filter. Please read here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi
This code is not generated by the theme and I assume that there is a plugin or a custom js which causes that conflict. Try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches then test the site again. Also make sure that you’re using V 7.4 of Newspaper theme and Social Counter is also update at v 4.1 which is included in theme’s path. Please follow this links to update the theme is necessary: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/ and to setup Social Counter plugin properly: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-social-counter-tutorial-2/
Let us know ho it goes and if the problem persist provide your site url so we can have a closer look.
Thanks!
Hi,
Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Also check your cloudflare settings and only use these recommended ones: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/
Thank you!
Hi,
@adityakuber please try to re-create your homepage or set a wordpress blog hopmepage from reading settings and see if that shows up.
If it still does not show up, please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Then test again.
Thank you!
Hello geolux,
If you want this, you will have to use the do_shortcode method to add everything you want at this page. So, first of all, you should prepare your block in Visual Composer, filtered by latest articles and then take the shortcode generated by this plugin and with this function, add this in the core file where the bbpress is created, like bbpress.php file, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/XnkATDX2x -> http://screencast.com/t/bJwEiALFLTBS -> http://screencast.com/t/gxnsl7KIrYc Please read this guide to learn how to filter posts inside blocks: https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/ For more information about do_shoercode method, please check this topic here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/add-content-block-in-the-posts-below-social-sharing/
Please notice that is not a simple task and if you are not aware of the steps in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide custom work at the moment, sorry!
Hope this helps!
Thanks for your understanding!
