I am not sure why this happened but you can try to deactivate all plugins clear all caches then try to update the theme and Visual Composer again as it is indicated in our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
If you use child theme deactivate it during the update process.

I’ve checked the site again and noticed that you’re using child theme. Try also to deactivate the child theme as it may cause some issues, also remove any css/js minifications then try again.
If you still can’t manage to solve this try to setup a new wp-install on a sub-domain following this configuration:
– WordPress V 4.4.3
– Newspaper theme V 7.3
– Visual Composer V 4.12
Do a few tests with this configuration and check how it goes.

Thanks for your reply. Ok, i can see the thumbnail sizes in the theme options, But i still didn’t get it.

1) For example, i can see the thumb size (100×70) is used for: Module 6,7 and Block 1, 2, 7, 8, 16
– What does module 6, 7 refers to? Is it in the prebuilt demos?

2) On my home page, i’m using one of the pre-built demos.. and in the visual composer editor, i can see “Big Grid 7”, as shown here: https://s31.postimg.org/uldmsstwr/Visual_composer.jpg

– Does the Block 7 in the theme options refers to the Big Grid 7 in Visual composer?!

3) The image i’ve uploaded earlier as a featured image was 504 × 544 (which is a large image, however it wasn’t showing right as shown here): https://s32.postimg.org/bdub5yp79/image_resize.jpg

So, my other question is: What is the recommended image size for featured images to show correctly on homepage? without having the need to regenerate thumbnails?

A) Yes indeed our theme removes the front-end part of Visual Composer’s page-builder because it’s not working properly with theme’s blocks. We also added 25 new blocks which works only with our theme. We don’t recommend any third-party plugins or additional ad-ons for our theme. The theme is tested and work fine only with Visual Composer plugin which is included in the path available o themeoforest. You can try additional software if you want but we can’t support it and also we can’t say how will work with Newspaper.
B) The theme is tested and search page works fine with any module used, including module 17. I am not sure why the page breaks on your site but you can try to deactivate all plugins, except Visual Composer, clear all caches then test again. If the problem persist please provide your site url so we can have a closer look.
C) We need site url for further investigations.
D) Try this css in theme panel > custom code > custom css:

.td-social-google, .td-social-pinterest {
display: none!important;
}

E) The theme uses default wp implementation for authors and there is no option which allows you to add multiple authors for a post. You can try a plugin with similar functionality but we didn’t made any tests in this regard and I can’t make any recommendation.
F) You can set a primary category for each post, primary category will be displayed on modules and blocks if is set: http://screencast.com/t/7KmMi5qqKCd

I checked my version – it’s 3.1 , Im running only visual composer and social counter. Deactivated the counter – cleared cache from browser and tested. Unfortunately, I faced the same error.

Also, please note – I have this problem only in the day time (GMT +5:30)
Towards the night if I use the slid block with the same settings – the site works fine. Its only when I wake up the following day I realise the images are all on the home page instead of a slide. This is the 2nd morning its happened.

I know and have used the blocks, I want some flexibility with my block and grid designs, there are some designs in some websites I will like for my website, I just want to have control over the block and grid designs. In your documentary there is a mention of tagDiv composer plugin I added it to my site but it won’t work on its own or with my activated visual composer, if the plugin will work as described in the documentation it will solve my problem and I want to buy it. Please keep me posted on updates on the tagDiv composer plugin, it will be better if it can work with visual composer

Hello,

The problem was between Slider Resolution, Visual Composer and Woocommerce, in order to make the Woocommerce work with Visual Composer I deactivated the Slider Revolution.

I want to use the Slider Resolution, what can I do to work all plugins together?

I notice that at Slider Resolution and Visual Composer we have new versions of software, how can I update to the new version?

Maybe this updates will fix the problems between the plugins.

This is not the right way of adding these buttons in post contest. To generate these buttons you will need a plugin as they are not included in our theme or in Visual Composer plugin included in theme’s path. I am not very sure what plugin @_ronald_ used to make these buttons ut you can do a search online for plugins with a similar functionality, try a few of theme and use the one who fits you best.
