Hello,
Please try to disable all plugins except for visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Then make sure you have all the thumbs selected and run the regenerate thumbnails again. Then , clear cache and reset cdn files again to ensure the settings apply. If you still cannot get them to display, please provide a link to your website so we can inspect it. If you want to send it in private, you can do so via contact@tagdiv.com.
Thank you!
Hi there,
I have a problem with Google DFP responsive banners integration in the Newsmag theme.
Here there is a test page where my responsive banners work fine (please see http://wp-dev-ntr24-31ba64cdf656650e14f1f97f34ac243d.ntr24.tv/responsive-ntr24-2.html). On this page, if you try to reduce the browser width and also refresh the page, you will see a smaller banner depending on the browser available width. Three banner dimensions are available: 728×90 for PC screen, 468×60 for tablet and 320×50 for smartphone viewport width.
Therefore, I’m trying to implement this behaviour on the theme header leaderboard banner (please see the header ad banner on wp-dev-ntr24-31ba64cdf656650e14f1f97f34ac243d.ntr24.tv).
I’ve added to the Newsmag header.php with the header part of the Google DFP tag:
<script type='text/javascript'>
var googletag = googletag || {};
googletag.cmd = googletag.cmd || [];
(function() {
var gads = document.createElement('script');
gads.async = true;
gads.type = 'text/javascript';
var useSSL = 'https:' == document.location.protocol;
gads.src = (useSSL ? 'https:' : 'http:') +
'//www.googletagservices.com/tag/js/gpt.js';
var node = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0];
node.parentNode.insertBefore(gads, node);
})();
</script>
<script type='text/javascript'>
googletag.cmd.push(function() {
// Define a size mapping object. The first parameter to addSize is
// a viewport size, while the second is a list of allowed ad sizes.
var mappingLeaderboard = googletag.sizeMapping().
addSize([1024, 600 ], [728, 90]).
addSize([500, 500 ], [468, 60]).
addSize([1, 1 ], [320, 50]).
build();
// Define the GPT slot
googletag.defineSlot('/6815270/WP_responsive_ads', [[320, 50], [468, 60], [728, 90]], 'div-gpt-ad-1458658040243-0').defineSizeMapping(mappingLeaderboard)
.addService(googletag.pubads());
googletag.pubads().enableSingleRequest();
googletag.enableServices();
});
</script>
and I’ve also set-up the body part of Google DFP tag in Theme panel->ADS->Header ad (please see http://screencast.com/t/oxiFsOa6D).
Hereafter the code I’ve added:
<!-- /6815270/WP_responsive_ads -->
<div id='div-gpt-ad-1458658040243-0'>
<script type='text/javascript'>
googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1458658040243-0'); });
</script>
</div>
But when I reduce the browser width I do view this http://screencast.com/t/S0pOFSUPN, and if I reduce more I do wiew this http://screencast.com/t/pczqJeij i.e. the banners aren’t correctly rendered.
How can I obtain the right banner visualization in Newsmag theme? What could be wrong in my settings?
Thanks in advance for any appreciated help.
Giuseppe
Hi,
Please disable all your plugins except visual composer. clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Your problem is specific to the layer slider plugin that seems to conflict with visual composer but remove all of them first to see if VC works fine on it’s own, then identify the plugin that causes the issue.
Thank you!
Hello kleitonfranck,
I saw and your e-mail and my advice is the same for your both requests and is the following -> please try to disable all the active plugins, because I saw that you are using a lot of untested plugins, leave just Visual Composer, clear all cache and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. Also, please consult your hosting provider and check if your server is right installed and if it has the right version of PHP installed. Also, please consult our list of requirements in order to achieve the good result, here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ If your problem is still there about these changes, please try to reinstall your WordPress and then you should try to make a fresh install. We recommend you doing a fresh install via FTP by following this tutorial: https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/ Your settings will not be affected as they are stored in the database. Simply download the latest version of the theme again and install it directly and see if your fonts work. Also, please try to consult your hosting provider and check to not being some errors caused by the server.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
P.S On the future, please try to write to us only in the English language because this is the official language on this forum.
Thank you for your understanding!
Hello PedroMiguelMoreira,
I have checked your website and I did not saw any problems with your logo. If your problem reappears, please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer, clear all cache and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. It could be an error caused by your untested plugins which might interfere with the theme.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!

Hello Valejuve,
Please notice that the latest version of Visual Composer which are tested with our theme is 4.11 but the latest official version is 4.11.1 and because of this you receive this message. We recommend you to using our tested version of Visual Composer 4.11 because this is tested with the theme and works well. We will release and this version 4.11.1 but lasts and it will be in the future update.
Thank you for your understanding!
Hi, Thanks for the info, just one question regarding the update: Is it also possible only to overwrite the files from patch_6.6.5_6.7 Folder? Because I had to change some of the files from the Theme Folder and dont want to overwrite everything. Afterwards I would update the Visual Composer ofcourse. Thanks!
Hello mahmoudfathymohamed,
I have checked your website and I have noticed that you have not the featured video set it from theme panel, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/wDrk14VdzE Please ensure that you have set it your desired video as Featured video and also make sure that your theme is not influenced by some untested plugins which can cause some errors in the theme. Try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer, clear all cache and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. I have tested on my side with the same post template with featured video and the video is displayed fine, as you can see in our demo preview, here -> http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/td-post-how-to-make-a-perfect-caffe-macchiato-video/
For more information about our post templates, please consult our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/post-templates-2/

Hi,
That is the only option available that lets you control the post number. Maybe you have cache on your website and/or cdn. Please clear your cache and reset cdn files if you use it after you change settings to see if they apply.
If they still do not apply, please try to disable all plugins except visual composer as there might be a plugin conflict that interferes with this setting.
Let us know.
Thank you!
I use Adsense to display ad-units on my regular pages and it works without a problem using the built in functions for it.
Does the theme have some kind of built in function for putting ads on bbPress-forum-pages?
I understand that i can put ads on the sitename/forum landing page using Visual Composer, but I would like the ads to show up on all forum-pages (not just the main one). Pretty much like it is on this site that also uses the same theme as far as I can tell: https://www.hellouk.org/forums/
Hi,
I disabled all the plugins (also updated Visual Composer to the last theme-included version) but no change.
I think the font size problem is due to the fact that i still have to use a css-hack to actually target the paragraph (p) settings under the individual pages, like:
.page-id-81 p {font-size: 12px !important;}
– if my forum page has 81 as the id-number.
This has been an issue since i brought the theme about a year ago (have had to do it on my contact-page for example). It only applies when using Visual Composer since the divs being created by it seems to be uneffected by the regular page paragraph setting.
As for the link on the H1/Title being incorrectly set to the bottom-most forum I have no idea what can cause. I disabled the whole H1-tag with:
.bbpress .td-page-title {display: none !important;}
Not an ideal solution, but at least it works.
Any more ideas on this?
Hello Pramodc,
Unfortunately, until now we do not have any reports about this kind of error. Please try to make a fresh install and trying to run the system only with Visual Composer. I recommend you doing a fresh install via FTP by following this tutorial: https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/ Your settings will not be affected as they are stored in the database. Simply download the latest version of the theme again and install it directly and see if your fonts work.

Hello Sean,
The posts appear multiple times on your homepage because you have the same filtering on them. Please try to change the categories or apply an offset to your blocks: https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-tutorial/
As for the social icons, they cannot be moved above the big grid as the sidebar only begins below it. The big grid will not display well on a single column.
Please follow this guide to see how to use visual composer properly: https://forum.tagdiv.com/homepage-how-to-build-and-set-it/
Hope this helps.
Thank you!
Hello,
The ad system in our website is based on these ad spots: http://screencast.com/t/WtlLvXZyp92U
You can read more about our ads here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/header-ad/
On pages you can use an ad box element from visual composer: http://screencast.com/t/v22dKUeF and then you will have to select one of the theme ad spots where you have the ad set: http://screencast.com/t/EtCsXXOzZJ
Thank you!
Hello mvagliente,
I have checked your website and saw that your Facebook counter does not work as properly. Also, I noticed that you do not have the latest update of Visual Composer. -> http://screencast.com/t/4PEo5Sf0z Please try to update this plugin (latest version is 4.11) and see how it work after these changes.
For more information about Visual Composer updating, please check our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
Also, you can follow the below guide for an accurate setting ->>
1) Please make sure you have the latest theme version: 6.7. If not, you need to follow this guide to update your theme: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
2) Having the latest version of the theme is not enough if you do not update the social counter as well. You need to remove the current version you use: http://screencast.com/t/4jvRwNzK and then install the version of the plugin that comes with the 6.7 theme: http://screencast.com/t/9AKKURjTjX
You can recognize if you have the correct version of the plugin when you see the new app key settings: http://screencast.com/t/CIXxklBanNl If you do not have these settings in your social counter it means you do not have the correct version.
3)You need to follow this guide to get the requirements from facebook:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-social-counter-tutorial-2/
Please keep in mind that the social counter is not a live count. It will update once every few hours.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!

Hi
This code add a new attribute for the files with .js extension: http://screencast.com/t/nGNIekHRJAXZ When post template 8 or homepage post block from Visual Composer are used on the page there is an additional js loaded on the page which is not loaded from main js file of the theme. The above code does not apply the defer attribute for all js code and this seems to cause conflicts.
You can read more about how this attribute works at this url: https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/service/DeferJavaScript#description
Unfortunately I can’t provide a solution now as are needed some researches in order to identify how this code will work properly with the theme. If you still need guidance on this or you’re not aware of the steps you need to take in this regard please consider hiring a developer or a freelancer to do this for you.
Thanks for the message!
Hello Driver67,
If you want to keep the sidebar items only for your Home Page, you have to use Widgetised Sidebar element from Visual Composer for your pages and set it with the same content as those on posts, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/YKV8di3dX -> http://screencast.com/t/EO2X5p8Tbq
Hope this helps!
Thank you for the message!
I have found the folder so deleted and reinstalled js_composer.zip in to /wp-content/themes/Newspaper/includes/plugins
But I still get the same error:
—-
Installing Plugin: Visual Composer
The plugin does not have a valid header.
Downloading install package from http://retail-inspiration.co.uk/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/includes/plugins/js_composer.zip…
Download failed. couldn’t connect to host
Return to tagDiv plugins panel

I need a solution. I now have a template I have paid for but can not use because of Visual Composer not working.
Thanks in advance.
Hello,
Sorry but our theme has no such setting. If you want to change the background color of a row in visual composer, this can be done from the row settings: http://screencast.com/t/yGItmgIkG and then use this css:
.td_block_12 .td_module_wrap{
background-color: white;
border-radius: 10px;
margin-bottom: 10px!important;
margin-top:10px;
}
.td_block_12 .td_module_11{
padding-bottom:20px!important;
}
.td_block_12 .td-module-thumb, .item-details{
padding-top:10px!important
}
result: http://screencast.com/t/twJzIfr7Wi
Thank you!
Hello,
Please try to deactivate all your plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it to rule out a plugin conflict. We have no reports of such issue at the moment. Unfortunately there is no alternative way to login so you can maybe alter the theme files where the login is being created here: http://screencast.com/t/mfQrsIsfb
Thank you
Hello,
There is no such bug we are aware of. If there truly was a major bug in our theme, then this forum would have been flooded with messages on this matter. The fonts were thoroughly tested and they do not change upon page refresh. Please try to disable all your plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Then test fonts again. The general font setting for modules and blocsk changes the general font for all elements to the desired one. It has the same effect as switching all of the options below it to another font.
The fonts and col,or scheme are affected by cache so please clear your cache after you change these settings. Another thing to do is make sure you have your system status parameters in order by following this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Let us know how it goes.
Thank you!
Hi
You can use elements from Visual Composer in posts but there might be a change to appear some issues with the layout and some additional customizations might be required in order to be displayed fine. If you don’t use Visual Composer the only way to add such elements on posts it’s by creating them in html.
This is a task which require many customizations and unfortunately we can’t provide custom services at the moment. If you still need guidance on this or you’re not aware of the steps you need to take in this regard please consider hiring a developer or a freelancer to do this for you.
Thanks!
Hello Deboshree,
1)Please try to check your system status parameters and try to increase them, according to below tutorial ->>
You have to increase these values in order to achieve the best result. If you do not have access to your system status file, please contact your hosting provider and then try to increase these parameters.
Please make sure your system status parameters are set properly. You can check here: http://screencast.com/t/Ka9cF6ty and then you can use this guide to see how you can increase these values: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Please check and this -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/ and make sure that you are using the latest version of Visual Composer.
->> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/
2)Please read this guide on facebook sharing: https://forum.tagdiv.com/facebook-share/
3)I have checked your website and saw that you have 2 related articles (Jetpack ->related articles -> http://screencast.com/t/DasgcRooAz and our feature related articles -> http://screencast.com/t/90dWYnAi4Ad) if you want to have just ours Related Articles feature you have to disable from JetPack related Articles because we do not provide support for plugins features)
4)As I can saw in your website URL you are using a lot of untested plugins which can change the structure of our footer. Please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. For more information about our footer settings, please consult the documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/
