Hello ch.rammohan,
Please do not panic! First of all, please read all of our documentation regarding on this feature and how this can be used, according to our documentation, like this -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/
First of all, to be safe you should make a full backup to your database, not to lose your data.
Thanks for the message!
Hi,
You simply have to recreate your page with the new front-end composer, then set it as homepage. This will eliminate the need for Visual composer and you can deactivate it. It is not hard to use this editor, please check the useful links provided above.
Using the new tagDIv composer you can set a background for a row like this
– https://www.screencast.com/t/xTkxf6uS6AsK
– https://www.screencast.com/t/EjNcvRndXL
Thanks
Hi,
You could do that like this with the new page editor. First split the row in three columns
– https://www.screencast.com/t/3Icfo3ey
Then add a Image box element in each column
– https://www.screencast.com/t/jIxQHXFqd
Set 2 images in each image box
– https://www.screencast.com/t/n2qVDaW1lO66
It will look like this (you can set an image height for the images as well)
Also you can stretch the row and it will look like this
– https://www.screencast.com/t/rxnWmrH7L
This can be achieved with Visual composer the same way basically, if you are not ready to use the new editor. Here is a guide describing the tagDiv composer
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
Also more information here – https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/
Thanks
Hello Brain916,
Please try to read our useful guide in order to make the transitions between these page builders, like this -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/ Most likely, you have tried to edit your page which has been created with Visual Composer and now, you want to edit with TD Composer and that’s why you cannot do this. Check above guide and try to re-create your homepage only with our page builder.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi
First of all, I would like to continue to use visual composer.
TD composer is active by default in 8 update.
Hello all,
In our new updates, notice that we have implemented a new page builder which is named TD Composer. Before using it, please check our documentation and try to understand how this can be used. For more information about this case, please check our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
Please note that is no rush to switch to the new composer. You just have to create a new page in the new front-end composer (recreate the same design or something different if you want) and then set this page as homepage. Like it is specified more elements will be added in future updates, just for the tagDiv composer. You should not use Visual composer and TagDiv composer at the same time, or edit pages created in Visual composer with the new editor.
You do not need to use the AMP plugin, the mobile theme is a mobile plugin that can be used by itself. More information here – https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Thanks
Hello cahpolli,
Please try to read our useful guide in order to make the transitions between these page builders, like this -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/

Hello,
This is a plugin conflict as we have encountered plugins that removed theme options in the past. Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
Thank you!
Hello,
This is a strange issue. We have not encountered it before. It could be a conflict somewhere so please try to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
If the issue is still there afterwards, please contact us on our email address at contact@tagdiv.com and provide a link to your site and wp-admin (login information and admin rights) so we can login and investigate. Please also include a link to this conversation.
Thank you!
Hi,
I cannot say for sure where the errors appear on your site but they do not seem to be css related.
This could be a plugin conflict so please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.

Hi,
Please note that there is no rush to make the transition form Visual composer to the new tagDiv composer. What you need to do is basically recreate your page the way you want using the new page editor, and when it is ready simply set that one as your homepage. So the new page has to be created entirely in the tagDiv composer.
It is not hard to use this editor, and the majority the elements form Visual composer are available in it.
Just follow the transition guide provided above and everything should work as intended.
Thanks
I have a problem I believe many others have also. I am using your updated newspaper 8. I know it uses TagDiv. In your documentation, I seemed to read that I will also need Visual Composer. I went to purchase Visual Composer. I install it, but does not give me the opportunity to activate it. So first question, do I need visual composer to take full advantage of the TagDiv Composer? If yes, why is it not working?
Second problem is, when I tried to create a new page using TagDiv Composer, it’s not allowing me to move and drop elements.
Is there any thing I need to do first?
In summary, with the new Newspaper 8, I am unable to move and drop elements to create my new home page. And also my new visual composer is not allowing me to activate it.
Thank you
Hello
I’m having a problem.
I have pages on the site where I use the viual composer.
However, after I updated the theme, the visual composer stopped working. In fact, the columns disappeared.
It only came back up after I deactivated tagDiv Composer.
How I fix this? I would like to test the tagDiv Composer, however I can not leave the page with problem.
Thank you!
Hi Simion,
Because I’m not good for technical, can I do the following steps?
1. I will edit the homepage with tagDiv Composer, just open it in tagDiv Composer then save without any modifies? So, the homepage will run normally? and the next update It is automatically, I have no need do nothing?
2. I tried deactivate “WPBakery Visual Composer”, the website run normally, so can I delete this plugin, only keep tagDiv Composer?
Thank you so much!
Hi,
You should not edit a previously created page in Visual composer, with the tagDiv composer. You should simply recreate the page with the new front-end editor
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
More useful information here
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/
Thanks
We were using another theme that used the same visual composer as the one on Newspaper but as far as I know were weren’t using any shortcodes on articles. One of the editors on the site said he tried to make a new post today (after changing to your theme) and the same stuff showed up. I just noticed the visual composer plugin is out of date though. Maybe updating it will fix it?
Hi,
Yes you will still be able to use those. The transition to the new composer is meant to be as easy as possible. Here is some more useful information
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/
Thanks
Hi,
I believe that is a background set on a row, I could be mistaking. Please try and deactivate the tagDiv composer editor and see if the image you set is displaying properly. Please try to not use both editors at the same time for your pages, this may lead to problems. However you should consider recreating your page using the new front-end composer, as in future updates features will be added exclusively for this editor. Here is a guide for the page editor
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
More important information here – https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/
Thanks
Hello svharishtech,
Unfortunately, we do not recommend using VC and TD Composer simultaneously because there may be some errors in the future. We recommend using our own TD Composer though as in the future updates we will release new features exclusively on own page builder.
For more information about the transition between these two-page builders, please check our useful guide here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/
Thanks for the message!
Hi,
The new composer that was introduced in the latest theme update should not be used together with the Visual composer editor. You can just leave it deactivated for the moment. However you should try and use the new tagDiv composer to recreate your page, and only use it from now on. In future theme updates new features will be released exclusively for this page builder. Her is a guide for the new front-end editor
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
The sub-menu items background and text hover color can be changed in the theme panel

The main novelty of the 8-th version:
You can now make pages on the front end using our tagDiv composer – the first pagebuilder ever created for blogs, news and magazine websites. The pagebuilder is much lighter than Visual Composer and it’s much easier to use.
tagDiv Composer tutorial: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
Hi,
Please do not use the new tagDiv composer to edit a page created in Visual composer. This may lead to unexpected results. You should recreate your page using only the new front-end editor.
Thanks
Hi,
@sejpost You just have to create a new page using only tagDiv composer. Most of the elements that are available in Visual composer are present in the new editor. Use this guide to help you – https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
It is not hard to use the the editor, it is just a matter of getting used to it. New features will be added to the tagDiv composer in future updates.
You can still use the widget sidebar element to add sidebars to pages, with this editor. The same sidebar can be used on pages and posts if that is what you are asking.
@travisnw It would be best and also recommended to use the new page editor for your pages. Please do not use both Visual composer and tagDiv composer on the same page.
Regarding the activation please try to activate the theme normally again.
@loirexplorer Please try making a clean theme install and use only the plugins provided with the theme – https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
This guide made by Ing Geek may be useful and very informative when updating the theme

Hi,
It is recommended to use Visual composer only with the mentioned column layout
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/
Different layouts may not work properly, please use just the blue highlighted column layouts when creating the page.
You can also try the newly featured front-end tagDiv Composer
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/ and see the elements as you are adding them to the page.
Thanks
