This is the problem I was having with the theme and cloudflare and it is rocket loader on cloudflare. Disable rocket loader and you will be back to normal. For some reason it still in beta and cloudflare does not care to fix the rocket loader issues. I am using cloudflare with rocket loader disabled. Rocket loader messes up JS. So if you use a lot of JS on the website, then rocket loader will screw it up a lot. This is from spending hours and trying to figure it out with this theme.
It is under speed tab in cloudflare scroll down and where it says rocket loader, turn it off. Turn your lazy load back on and it should work like normal again.

Hello,
i have a problem of compatibility: Speed Booster v4.1 – Disabled – incompatible plugin detected: advanced-ads-pro/advanced-ads-pro.php
And i have a another problem, qhen i try use the ad slideshow who comes with advanced-ads with images it doesn’t work but with code only it works.
I had contacted the support from advanced ads and they said: The slider is within a box with a class “.td-visible-desktop” and a display: table condition. Don’t know why, but it is causing the problem and I don’t see a reason for this condition. I could at least see the images when I just removed the display: table css condition in my browser.
My website is http://www.mediotejo.net
Thanks in advance

Hello,
I have checked your website and it seems fine now. The load speed is OK and the footer image is present.
The error is referring to the footer background image: http://screencast.com/t/DveP4pT5xdPm . For some reason it could not be found. This image can be changed from the theme panel: http://screencast.com/t/mXuv8ydaZsf
Let us know if the problem reappears.
Thank you!
Hello team tagdiv
In one of my staging site http://oct.wpdiv.com i have installed newspaper theme 6.5 and follows your instructions to speed up the website. But Time To First Byte connection seems painfully very slow even though i did followed all instructions to speed up newspaper theme powered websites. (Have not installed speed booster plugin)

(Hosted through VPS hosting with 2GB RAM)
Please help me to speed up things.
With regards
Chrome has always worked fine. It was just Firefox it would not load images and I would have to refresh. I switched to Opera to replace Firefox with no issues. If you are not seeing issues then I am not going to worry about it. I was just worried that other visitors would have problems. Since no one is coming to me with that issue on my website via contact page, then I am going to ignore it.
There is that page size and http requests thing that kind of bothers me though. Lazy load as I have read online is supposed to lower the page size like WP Rocket does and less http requests too but the lazy load with theme does not do this at all. It does not affect the page size or lower http requests at all. I am sticking with the theme one but I used the WP Rocket one for short time and tested it and it did speed up website by about almost half a second. Lazy load on theme is average 1.5 to 2.0 seconds and WP Rocket is 1 second to 1.2 seconds on loading website.
Only bringing that up if you guys could figure how to get that done with your lazy loading, if not then I won’t worry about it either. I like you lazy load because it just seems to load the images better.
Until I hear from any visitors that the images are not loading, then I won’t do anything.

I have been have images not loading with the feature of the theme of images not loading the first time of load on Firefox and Edge. IE latest and Chrome latest works fine. I have to refresh the Firefox and Edge browsers to work the images but I have ads from Adsterra on the website and I know its not them causing the problem because I am also using WP Rocket Caching plugin and I switched over to their lazy loading and it works fine on Firefox and Edge and the rest of the browsers.
I also see no smaller page size with lazy load from theme but when switched over to WP Rocket lazy load my page size went from before 1.5 mb to 784 kb and http requests from 109 to 45 requests on WP Rocket. That is the reason for lazy load is to speed up the site and make those two things smaller too. Is there a reason why the theme lazy load does not work like WP Rockets?
I am going to stick with WP Rockets lazy load for now. Since it works properly.
Hello, I am already delete Visual Composer have any problem my website. Please check my website: https://mydreamlives.com/
I want load my website very first so I delete Visual Composer, Also I want to delete unnecessary theme plugin, How to delete theme unnecessary theme plugin.

Thanks!
We use Google fonts and have a 100 UX score with Google and 97 page speed. Of course, we moved the CSS loading to the style.css file.
Having a single large CSS file is preferable to 10 CSS files like many themes use as it’s cached and compressed as one item by server/browser and not reloaded over and over.
One of the top 3 selling themes on ThemeForest has 10 CSS files loaded per page! TagDiv does not. Footprint on complex themes is average 550kb for CS/Java these days.
A theme I used yesterday to setup a nonprofit website has 7 CSS files, 6 JS files, etc. — I’m having to manually combine those to optimize.
TagDiv closed weekends, as noted top of page.
I answered a bunch of threads, but I don’t work here. 🙂
Sorry to editorialize here, just some feedback on that issue.
Well… it works for some folks and not for others — no idea why. I ran into this same issue using mod_pagespeed (which has built-in lazy load function option) on our site 15 months ago, and chose not to use it for same reason. I’d see randomly no images loaded. Meaning, the top of page items might load, but if somebody waited then scrolled down, there would be no images at all … super annoying.
The trade off with lazy loading is that some browsers and some setups just don’t exactly work consistently since it’s kind of an ajax load on demand thing — much like some of those long parallax one page website sometimes just crash the web browser which is super annoying (most folks have given up on that, thankfully).
I’ve disabled it on all our sites for this same “inconsistent” issue.
TagDiv support might have better answer … but that’s been my WTF? experience 🙂

I would be using this plugin but when I use the comment out the certain code and speed booster is activated it messes up buddypress styling within the theme. So I rather just not use the plugin and also it did not make hardly or any difference on speed of the website enabled or disabled. So those are my reasons of not using speed booster plugin. I am not sure of anyone else using buddypress.
I used Newspaper v6.3.3 and my website was ok in terms of pageload time and speed. But after updating the site does not load fast, and the images don’t immmediately load.
What are your suggestions to make it lighter and faster? the website is Factwide
Thanks
If you want, google the concept of “https everywhere” — the idea is that as the web moves to mobile everything as the “main” daily driver, it needs to be secure since it’s “over the air” — so, somebody sitting in a café, in the break room, on the bus, isn’t been spied upon. So, the push for “https everywhere” is to make the connections from mobile devices to web properties more secure, and enforce encrypted connections, while also deprecating insecure SSL technologies like SSL3/TLS1/TLS1.1 etc. — so, Google is giving a ranking boost for mobile rankings for https *NOW* as they do for mobile speed and mobile compatibility/UX/speed.
It’s not a huge ranking factor, but it *is* a mobile ranking factor *now* and so it’s something to think about, but ideally in 3 years it is likely to be a semi-mandatory thing. The web needs to be secure, and hijacking is a big issue and “man in the middle” hacks are also common with wireless/wifi, etc. — this is how hotels can overlay ads on your mobile connection (!).
So … I would say, for a major business portal it’s good to go https now. If you have huge traffic and make your living on your website, then now is good time to start. If you have a blog on the side, not so much.
Part of the push for “https everywhere” is also to find a solution for free/zero cost/shared SSL certificate tech — which is coming into being and is “transitional” — shared SSL certs on servers are a new thing, but not fully supported in browsers YET.
If you can afford $25 a year for cheap SSL cert for your site, it’s worth doing. If you don’t make any money from your site, wait for the free or “included with hosting” SSL certs which should be in play by end of NEXT year.
And to be clear — the only site we chose to do this on is our MAIN business site, which has been online over 15 years and which generates 90% of our income. Our news portals are not yet https, although the web server on which they reside does have SSL cert itself. Our sites running tagdiv themes are NOT yet SSL, and will not be until the whole concept of zero cost / low cost SSL certs becomes available as part of this “movement.”
For our main site we got a wildcard SSL cert so we could also make subdomains SSL, which needed to happen for our local image server and our shortcode (YOURLS) system.
Hi guys,
I have three questions. Number one:
I want to use a syncronous AdSense tag with a fixed size, but the theme keeps rescaling it like it’s an responsive asynconous Adsense tag. I really want to use the syncronous ad for the article top adspace to make it load faster. The resizing is not an issue, but the theme transforming it into an async tag is. How can I prevent the theme from editing a fixed syncronous Adsense tag? The rest of the article ads (inline and bottom) are used with async responsive tags which resize nicely!
Question two:
I really love the tagdiv speed booster plugin. There is only 1 problem: the plugin does not move my child theme style.css to the footer, which is good, but I still see the flickering at the beginning when the page loads. It somehow looks like the style.css (which has an @import rule to load the newspaper style.css) is still being loaded from the footer. When disabling the speed booster plugin the flickering stops and the page is loaded with the right style from the beginning. How can I use the speed booster plugin without this flickering thing, so I can still use it to move plugin’s CSS and JS to the footer?
Question three:
When using a child theme I somehow can’t minify the newspaper style.css without breaking the site layout. I’ve tried to manually copy the whole newspaper css into my child theme css and leave the newspaper css empty and then minify it, but that still does break the site. How can I minify the css while using a child theme without breaking the website’s lay out?
I have a large custom CSS file. I can either copy/paste the CSS into the “Custom CSS” box in the theme panel OR I can drop the CSS file in the folder of the child theme.
But which is better for website speed and overall performance?
Hello,
We have installed Newspaper version 6 theme and after the install i see that site is loading bit slow and getting stuck in some pages
my website is http://www.itolly.com
can someone help me of why the site speed is bit slow
Hi i am trying to get a better perform on the website but this keeps coming up
“Eliminate blocking JavaScript and CSS display the contents of the upper half of the page newsmag” I know the speed booster should do this authomatically, i´ve already check and is activated but seems not working.
Also do you recommend something to minify css and java i´ve tried some plugins but all have issues like loosing complete format, images not showing even though i change some options to stop that to happen.
Thanks for the help
site url: http://www.tierrapermanente.com
Yeah I manually minified the js composer css (it’s the biggest file according to gps), didnt shave off that many. Pagespeed still says compressing (gzipping) the file would reduce it with from 600kb, from 750 to roughly 150. Most gzip testers say my gzip is enabled, but somehow GPS keeps telling me I could roughly shave of 2MB (!!) by gzipping all the css. So not all files al being compressed with my htacces rules. Im running a website with an older version of Newspaper on the same server with nginx and GPS doesn’t mention anything about compressing. Have no idea how to fix this…
Also, why do you prefer apache on plesk over nginx handeling php? I’m on a VPS (6gn ram) and my hosting provider said using nginx would reduce my pageload way more than apache. When I have over 2000 real time apache starts to flood the ram :/ That’s why I switched to nginx handeling PHP and configure WP Super Cache with it. Doesn’t break a sweat!
Hello manoj.yadav,
I think you mean the top menu bar which stretches to 100% of the screen. In order to change this behavior you have to add a background image or color to your website from the theme panel like so: https://forum.tagdiv.com/bg-settings/
You can even set a white background color so nothing would change visually.
the result: http://screencast.com/t/ULvnmc4D
As for the background images, for best graphic results you could use a full hd image (1920x1080px), make sure you compress it, you don’t want a large file, it will slow page loading speed.
You can read more on this subject in this topic here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/background-image-is-driving-me-mad/
Thank you
Hi Tagdiv team,

Hello Bogdan,
I have already tried mailchimp. But i want to delay to load of the popup by say 10sec so that when the website page has completely loaded then only the popup comes up. This way the website speed will never be affected.
Let me know how can that be achieved !
Hello,
I have newspaper theme v6.2 installed on my website.
URL : http://www.naukrinama.com
To increase the user retention onto my website i want to open a subscribe popup with either a newsletter subscription or Facebook Like Box popup on First time website load for a user onto my portal.
How can this be achieved. I searched for multiple plugins but they impact the speed of the website drastically.
What’s the most fruitful and convenient way to achieve this without hampering the website speed and which is compatible with theme as well.
Hi,
I am using the theme’s built in visual composer’s post grid functionality. On the front page, post grid initially displays 15 grids. Displaying additional grids requires clicking “load more” button. Browsers always load all contents includes pictures. This brings the loading speed of the website to a crawl as there are a lot of pictures / posts to load. The pictures and content which are not immediate displayed could be lazy loaded after it is visible to the user. Can this be done with Newsmag or via additional plugins?
Below is the code referring to the posts elements:
<div class="vc_grid-item vc_clearfix vc_col-sm-4 vc_grid-item-zone-c-bottom vc_grid_filter-item vc_visible-item zoomIn animated">...</div>
<div class="vc_grid-item vc_clearfix vc_col-sm-4 vc_grid-item-zone-c-bottom vc_grid_filter-item vc_visible-item zoomIn animated">...</div>
... (additional visible posts)
<div class="vc_grid-item vc_clearfix vc_col-sm-4 vc_grid-item-zone-c-bottom vc_grid_filter-item vc_visible-item zoomIn animated">...</div>
<div class="vc_grid-item vc_clearfix vc_col-sm-4 vc_grid-item-zone-c-bottom vc_grid_filter-item ">...</div>
<div class="vc_grid-item vc_clearfix vc_col-sm-4 vc_grid-item-zone-c-bottom vc_grid_filter-item ">...</div>
... (additional hidden posts)

Hello, hello!
My site is All News+ and I’m powered by Newspaper/Tagdiv! 😀 Did I say how much I love this theme????
All News+ is a news website and since the theme is so on point! Though I’ve been quite lazy customizing it, I did follow the installation guides & tips and my site performance improved! Glad to see I’m not the only one here (hehe).
(I’m not sure if this is allowed here but…) Can anyone please suggest a good antispam plugin I can use that won’t disable the speedbooster? Thank you.
The Google bot find the smallest image file to index, your problem is related with speed, i test your article, have a very low score in Google speed test
You need to install a cache system, Goolge News sitemap, i have many website indexed in Google News, and its important to speed up your website.
