Hello LarryCramer,

Unfortunately, yes this task involve additional customizations and we cannot provide custom work at the moment, sorry! Hello tootiefrutie,

It sounds a bit of strange. Please ensure that you are using the latest version of the theme (Newspaper 7.4) and also, the latest version of WordPress. If your problem is still there, please provide your website URL so I can inspect it closer and also, so I will be able to provide a more accurate response.

Hello gwhsjournalism,

Please notice that our theme has been changed quite a lot lately and if you want to migrate your actual theme to the latest version you must mind that you will lose all of your customizations, sorry! Basically, you will have to re-customized all your website on the new theme. First of all, I suggest you doing a full backup to your database and then, you can create another fresh install, on the local server where you can begin to create your own new website with the latest version of the theme and try to adjust every element from the old theme to the newest. For more information about installing theme, please check our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/

Thanks for your message and good luck. In future, if you want to bring better results with our theme you should keep up with our updates.

Thanks for your understanding!

Hello hemant90,

After further investigations, it seems that was a conflict between Mobile theme plugin and SEO By Yoast plugin. Try to delete the mobile theme plugin and install this version: http://cdn.tagdiv.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/td-mobile-plugin.zip clear all caches then test the site again.

Let us know ho it goes.
Thanks!

Hello StudentLife,

Unfortunately, our theme does not have any such an option that allows you to exclude some blocks from the certain tags from Related Articles, sorry! If you want to achieve this functionality, please notice that you should edit the core files where the settings are created. First of all, you will have to add a new argument in td_block.php and td_data_source.php and then in td_modules_single_base.php where the related articles block is created. -> http://screencast.com/t/6Lgxbc3Ripxr -> http://screencast.com/t/7ThPVcRQ5n -> http://screencast.com/t/A6krywtAoZzf
Please notice that is not a simple task and if you are not aware of the steps which are needed to take in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide custom work at the moment, sorry!

Hello lethow,

I’ve checked your site again with google page speed tool and the render blocking resources are reported only for mobile devices, even if they are loaded in footer: http://screencast.com/t/y6zfRLvV
Google is very restrictive when it comes about mobile page speed and some things may be interpreted different than for the desktop. The Speed Booster plugin does its job and moves those scripts at page’s bottom but it can’t change how google generate the reports. We know about this situation and indeed it’s very strange but we can’t do much about it. The theme and plugins control only page’s HTML, not google’s algorithm in page speed regard.

Hello Sould,

Please keep in mind that our theme has evolved a lot and the 8 version of Internet Explorer is already deprecated. On the future, we will get rid of it from our compatible list.

Hello hemant90,

Your website has been inspected, and I concluded that you are not correctly used the mobile theme concept.
I suppose that you do not understand very good how mobile theme works, right? So, please notice that this theme concept intend to display a Big Grid feature at the top of homepage which shows the posts which are included in Featured category, then will show a text which you added in Mobile Editor in Visual Composer from backend and at the very bottom of the page you will bring the Latest Articles module. Please keep in mind that the Mobile Theme do not recognize the Visual Composer shortcode and that’s why you get this error on your side. So, for more information about our mobile theme, please check the documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ If you are unhappy with this layout, and if you want to have the similar structure with our demo mobile, you will simply turn off the mobile plugin and the theme will be automatically switched to the general responsive mobile mode.

Hello clarisse_soyez,

I have inspected your website and I noticed that your size logo is very short than the size of header container. As I can see, you have the Cafe demo installed on your side, right? So, please notice that this type of demo uses the logo in full width (using a bit of CSS rule), as you can see here -> http://screencast.com/t/cPR5lcQSTy So, if you want to use your logo at the initial size, you will have to use the following code, to overwrite the CSS rule from this demo, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/jyM4lJC7V6l

The code is ->

.td-cafe .td-header-style-10 .td-header-sp-logo img {
width: initial;
}

The logo was enlarged with that CSS and that’s why you bring a blurry image. If you want to rule out this behaviour, you should use the CSS above or you will add a logo with a higher size of it.

Hello jad,

Unfortunately, the only tutorial regarding on speed optimization is this -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/ Please keep in mind that the speed optimization is not related by our theme but only depends on how well your website is optimized. For more custom modifications in this regard, please consult the Chris topic from the Best of Forums, like this -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tutorial-chriss-custom-optimizations-for-functions-php-etc/ and there you should find other ways to improve your website speed pages.

Hello damian,

Please provide your website so I can inspect it closer. First of all, if you are using some untested plugins, please try to remove all of them and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme and rule out any conflicting plugins.

Thanks for the message!

Catalin

Hi jackchew,

First of all, you will have to disable all the untested plugins which you are using on your side to rule out the conflicting plugins. You will have to install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme if you want to bring good results with the theme. So, please notice that if you have a background image applied to your website, the layout of the theme will be switched in boxed mode. This is the default theme behavior and it cannot be changed very easy because these settings come from java script. I have inspected your website and the logo seems to work as properly.
If you want to display more levels in our theme and if you are not aware of the steps which you are needed to take in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide custom work at the moment, sorry!

Hello g10ktk,

If you want to use that Call to Action element from Visual Composer for sidebar under different categories or posts, please notice that you should copy/paste the shortcode for this element in Widgets area, in a text block. First of all, you will have to choose a widget which you use it for posts and category pages as Sidebar. First of all, from the Visual Composer editor, you should take the shortcode for this element, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/DaxLfZ7jUp -> http://screencast.com/t/mVVHX19P -> http://screencast.com/t/Ku4jr1HK -> http://screencast.com/t/p0nusOsfn7Q and the result you should see here -> http://screencast.com/t/Wpdcn0fp

Hope this helps!

Hello jo,

I have investigated your website and your source page and I noticed that you are using a lot of untested plugins which can interact with the theme and cause this type of issue. I have tested the latest version of the theme to my side and the Ajax Filter still working as properly without any issues. Please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme and rule out any conflicting plugins.

Thanks for your understanding!

Hello nano2408,

You can use the text high line from the post editor tool, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/KjRgPJRQQ and then, using a bit of CSS you can change the color of the text, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/D5okWkXkjtO

The code is ->

.td_text_highlight_0{
color:white!important;
}

Thanks for your message!

Hello ColtonPhiscator,

1)You should use a bit of CSS code if you want to hide the category tag for your mobile mode.

The code is ->

@media(max-width:767px){
.td-post-category{
display:none!important;
}
}

2)Unfortunately, our theme does not have any such an option that offers you a way to change the fonts for the mobile theme, sorry! If you want to change the fonts for mobile mode, you should try to use a bit of CSS to do that. Also, please notice that if you chose this way, the font which you called by CSS have to be loaded by the theme. Below, I give you an example for this ->

.td_module_mob_2 .entry-title{
font-family:Arial!important;
}

The result -> http://screencast.com/t/SOBs7If9

Unfortunately, this is the design for the front page of Mobile Theme. If you want to change the structure of it, please notice that you have to edit the core file which creates the front page, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/xK4NakUZ This is not a simple task and if you are not aware of the steps which are needed to take in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide custom work at the moment, sorry!

Hello rflmedia,

Do you refer to the sidebar on mobile theme? So, if you mention this, please notice that the mobile theme has been designed to work without sidebar, just to be the very fast feature. If you want to have a sidebar for your mobile, you should disable the mobile theme plugin and the theme will be switched to the general responsive mobile version which brings the sidebar on mobile view port.

Thanks for your understanding!

Hello pawwel,

Please notice that you can use how many images you want on your smart list because all of them will be displayed in the front end. The ad should have to be added in that field from Theme panel, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/fTz4GXiG For more information about our smart lists, please check here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/smart-lists/

Hope this helps!

Hello jbdesign,

Unfortunately, I do not exactly understand what you mean, sorry! If you have made any modifications to the code and you do not know them, please try to make a new update for your theme, revert all the theme settings to the default state, clear all your caches and check the results. The default theme behaviour can be checked on our demo preview, here -> http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/ Also, if you want that your menu to be not sticky, you can change this from Theme panel, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/FZ9R5pnWnRIv
