That shouldn’t happen, in my case after using the fix I can still edit the page same as before with WPBakery and change the image – http://prntscr.com/nlep9z

What exactly is happening in your case? Please let us know if possible. Any feedback is much appreciated.

Hi,

Thank you for the feedback, much appreciated. By auto update you mean thorough the Envato market plugin? I will add this for more testing on our part, to try and replicate it. the activation key shouldn’t be removed by updating with this plugin.

This last update was a somewhat major update, an article about it here
https://tagdiv.com/updating-the-core-of-tagdiv-themes/
Now the tagDiv composer has to be active at all times in order to maintain the same functionality. All the theme plugins have to be update manually now, it is not allowed for them to update automatically. So if no one is there to manually update them, they will be deactivated, this will cause problems with the website most likely.

Thanks

Hi,

What builder did you use to create the page? If you edit the page with the builder it was built with, does it look properly?
From what I can see those are column text elements which contain images, entered in a full row (not split into more columns).

The latest update consists or some modifications to the theme
https://tagdiv.com/updating-the-core-of-tagdiv-themes/
Now the tagDiv composer has to be active in order to have the same functionality as before. Does it look different if you deactivate the tagDiv composer as a quick test? Also try to update the WPBakery plugin to 5.7, it is included in the latest theme package
https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/

Hi,

In our guide we mention that minification can be active in cloudflare and it should work
https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/
But there could be cases when it will cause problems. I checked the website on an android mobile device – http://prntscr.com/nle370 and the menu seems to work at the moment.

If activating the minification causes it, maybe you should keep that disabled. And maybe try other minification techniques if possible.

Thanks

Hi,

I believe I replied by dashboard. The latest articles section provided by the page template can’t be moved – https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-page-templates/ it will always appear at the bottom of the page and it will use pagination.

A solution is to choose the default page template for the page in question, then add a block called latest articles and sorted by latest (which will function the same way basically) in the location you want. You can choose from the default blocks
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newsmag/block-1/
Or use a flex block and it’s options to customize how it looks
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newsmag/flex-block/

If you need help or you have more questions, please let us know.
Thanks

Hi,

If you used WPBakery to build the website, then you should keep it active at all times. If it is deactivated, elements like the ones you mention will not work and they will be displayed as code – http://prntscr.com/nldx30http://prntscr.com/nldxg1 They are specific to and provided by WPBakery, not the theme.

Having the WPBakery builder active should not cause the thumbnails to not be loaded. Usually plugins, or various codes entered in the theme panel or theme files can conflict with the theme and cause such issues. These would be the first to check in such cases.

Also be sure to check if there are enough resources – https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-requirements-for-newsmag/
Having such plugins as WPBakery and elementor, revolution slider etc active can consume many resources.

Hi,

Maybe I misunderstand, for me it seems to stay fixed on mobile- http://prntscr.com/nl3i76
I scroll down the page and the background image remains in place. Just like when testing with the mobile emulator – http://prntscr.com/nl3ksa
How should I check this exactly? Let me know.

Thanks

Hi,

I browsed the website menu, seems to work alright – http://prntscr.com/nl3a1u
http://prntscr.com/nl3a5vhttp://prntscr.com/nl3bn0
So the menu doesn’t work when you install the disqus plugin? I have seen disqus being used by theme users, but the menu worked fine with it.

We don’t have a guide to provide for disqus installation, maybe there is a conflict with the plugin. Check if there are any errors in the browser inspector console when the plugin is active.

Thanks

Hi,

That is possible, you can create a page with the composer containing the elements you want. Then set it as footer page in the theme panel – http://prntscr.com/nl34s5

Let us know if you have more questions.

Hi,

Looks alright now – http://prntscr.com/nl2zw4 I have seen cases when the mobile theme was loading on desktop, usually it is caused by caching plugins, or maybe optimization plugins or settings from them. We recommend the super cache plugin, which work alright with the mobile plugin. I browsed the website for a while, for me this problem did not happen however.

Hi,

If you want to make modifications to theme files, note that most of them were moved in the tagDiv composer plugin after update 9.7 – https://tagdiv.com/updating-the-core-of-tagdiv-themes/

So the login modal file is now located here – http://prntscr.com/nl2r6r and would have to be modified there directly.

Hi,

The social counter seems fine – http://prntscr.com/nl2d73 from what I can see.

For the single image fix all you need to do is to download that file, then replace the current one in the composer plugin by following this path – https://prnt.sc/nikwre
This fix will be implemented in the next theme update, but I can’t say when it will be released.

If you don’t know how to do it exactly, send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login as well as cPanel or FTP. Include a link to this topic in the email.

Hi,

I made a video to see how the website loads on my end, the images load just fine
https://www.filedropper.com/20190506152612
The images will load as soon as they get into view, that is what the theme lazyload does. If you don’t want to use this lazyload, it can be disabled in the theme panel
https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-loading-image-effects/

Thanks

Hi,

Maybe you entered an ad code in the theme panel ads section, or maybe in the analytics section or the theme header file (auto ads maybe), that is displaying those ads. You could check if that is the case, by the default the theme doesn’t contain any actual ads.

Hi,

@josh-2
Please update to theme version 9.7.2, in the previous theme version there was an issue with AMP not working – http://prntscr.com/nl1wft
With 9.7.2 there should be no problem. Let us know if there is still a problem after you update.

@Milan
AMP seems to be active and working for your website, using 9.7.2

Hi,

That is the ajax filter menu, if you want to display only specific categories there you can enter their IDs in the filter. There is some more information about it in this topic
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-can-i-replace-default-category-to-my-own-category/

So you can enter the IDs of the categories you wish to display in it.

Hi,

I could take a look, please post a link to the websites. If images are not appearing, it could be a conflict between the theme lazyload and other plugins. Try disabling the theme lazyload and see if the problem is fixed – http://prntscr.com/nl1pp5

Hi,

The views will still be counted when the mobile theme version of the post is displayed, but on AMP they will not be counted. But from what I can see the views are counted in your website at all, not even on desktop. Refreshing the post page should add to the count for example.

Try to activate this setting in the theme panel – https://forum.tagdiv.com/ajax-view-count/ then check if the count goes up.

Thanks

Hi,

If you use those div container, the ads should appear accordingly. On mobile, the ad entered in the td-visible-mobile container should appear, while the others are hidden.

I could take a look at it, please post a link to where I can see the problem.

Thanks

Sorry again for the inconvenience, and thank you for the kind words. The fix is to replace a file from the composer with the one from our CDN, that is why I provided it.

Follow this path to the file that needs to be replaced – https://prnt.sc/nikwre with the one you download from the CDN.

Starting from the next theme update the problem with the single images will be fixed permanently.

Maybe you could have restored a backup when noticing this problem, due to the holiday period and some days off, also the high volume of support, our replies may be delayed. Just a suggestion. Let me know if you have more questions.

Hi,

From what I know there were and are plans for quite a while to implement this in the theme, but it wasn’t up to this point unfortunately. Currently the viewed post is not excluded from the widgets, so it will appear there. You could try the solution from this topic
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/sidebar-block1-customization/
Enter that code in the mentioned file – http://prntscr.com/nl14ch

Or you could use a maybe a random sort for the block widgets in the sidebar, to reduce the chances that the current post is displayed there. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thanks

Hi,

So only when trying to edit new pages? Does it happen regardless of what page template is selected for the new page? We could take a look, send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login. Include a link to this topic in the email.

Hi,

I tested a post from your website with the google structured data tool, seems there are two schemas loaded for article – http://prntscr.com/nl0mfh One is alright, while the other has errors.

The one that has errors seems to come from Yoast – http://prntscr.com/nl0n6t maybe you did not configure it properly if you use this implementation. However there would be no need for it, the theme contains the necessary markup for the article schema. Maybe remove it and test again – https://search.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool/u/0/.

Thanks
