Hi,
That would be unusual, when disabled in the theme panel they should not appear in all posts, regardless of desktop or mobile
– http://prntscr.com/mzc48z
Maybe you use a different implementation of comments, instead of the default commenting WordPress system. I could take a look at it, please post a link to the website.
Thanks
Hi,
From what I know there will be some modifications made to the like button in the coming update, in terms of design. What exactly is happening with it? If possible please post a link to the website so I can take a look, and then make sure the issue will be fixed. Let me know.
Thanks
Hi,
You can send us the details and admin at contact@tagdiv.com, we will try to identify why the thumbnails are not appearing in the homepage.
Thanks
Hi,
Could be the transition that is applied when backgrounds are set. It lasts about 1 sec, and it is supposed to make the background appear more smoothly. Try entering this code in the theme panel – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/background-color-on-row-loads-last/
If that is not it, I could try and recreate this on my end. I will need the details about the header style used or how it is set up/built.
Thanks
Hi,
Indeed, there is a transition of 1 sec so that the background will appear more smoothly. I could give you a code that should remove this transition if this is required
.td-js-loaded .td-element-style {
transition: none;
-webkit-transition: none;
}
Enter it in Theme panel->Custom code CSS section.
Thanks
Hi,
So you mean these settings? – http://prntscr.com/mycb6n They seem to appear, I use the latest theme version (9.6) and the latest Yoast version (10). let me know.
Thanks
Hi,
Maybe the setting is disabled in the theme panel – http://prntscr.com/myc8sn
If that is active it should work. From what I can see the sidebars are not sticky in the posts as well. Please check if that setting is active.
Thanks
Hi,
I would suggest as a first test to deactivate all plugins except theme provided plugins. Then test again with the validator. Chances are the issue will be solved.
I remember seeing in some topics similar issues being caused by optimization plugins or settings from them. Let us know.
Thanks
Hi,
Please see this topic – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/errors-after-update-2/ I believe this is what you are referring to.
Thanks
Hi,
As far as I know this request isn’t on our list, I will add it. It will be considered. Thank you for the suggestion.
Could be a matter of insufficient memory – https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Try to increase it to 256M if possible. Also check the other requirements, note the code mentioned at the bottom of the guide as well.
These would be the most common causes for composer problems
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-not-working/
If you want us to take a look, send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login. Include a link to this topic in the email.
For the default tag template, I could give you a code to remove the breadcrumbs
.tag .entry-crumbs {
display: none;
}
The “Tag” and “:” could be removed from here – http://prntscr.com/mybtn5 This should be able to achieve through a child theme if you use it.
So between the head tags and probably before the closing body tag. Try to add those codes in the AMP plugin here – http://prntscr.com/mybm9f – http://prntscr.com/mybnbw
Or maybe in the mobile theme here – http://prntscr.com/mybo2s – http://prntscr.com/mybo9j
Try both these suggestions and check if the ads appear.
Hi,
I tried creating a smart list, seems to work alright. So if you create a smart list, heading+ image + description it will cause problems, but if you remove the images it works?
This post doesn’t contain a smart list from what I can see
– https://www.techvise.pk/mobile-banking-apps-in-pakistan/
We could take a look at it. Send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login so we can create a smart list in a test post on your website. Also provide in the email a link to a post where the issue is happening. Please include a link to this topic in the email.
Thanks
Hi,
So you want to exclude specific categories from the mobile latest articles section? You could do it like this – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/latest-article-mobil-theme/
Hi,
Despite the template used for the category pages on desktop, the mobile theme will use it’s own template. That is the case for author pages, tag pages, etc. The mobile theme has a template for all of them which will be used.
Only pages may be blank if you do not enter content in the mobile editor for each of them
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
The exception is the mobile homepage, this will display a top grid with featured posts and a latest articles section, so it will not be empty.
1. AMP has become widely used, our old dedicated AMP plugin did the job for a while. A decision has been made to discontinue this plugin and instead use the official up to date AMP plugin, which can be integrated with the mobile theme. In the coming update more options will be added.
2/3. You can design the category pages as you want, use the predefined category templates or cloud templates. These will be used on desktop, on mobile when the mobile theme is active, the mobile template will apply regardless. This theme demo has the mobile theme active, check a category page on mobile to see how it will look
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_local_news/category/tech/gadgets/
These mobile templates are AMP valid as well, since 9.6.
4. The mobile theme is created for mobile, if you do not use the mobile theme the responsive version will take place. Meaning the website will adapt for mobile or the device used. Be careful when you design templates with the composer, always check how it will look on mobile.
For example while a flex block with 3 modules per row looks alright on desktop
– http://prntscr.com/myaglu on mobile this will not be so good – http://prntscr.com/myagw0
So in this case set the block to display 1 module per row – http://prntscr.com/myah9s
Most settings are per viewport, check and configure them differently for each when needed.
5. Some examples of what exactly is happening would be very helpful. The only instance when pages would be blank is if we are referring to actual pages. With the mobile theme active each page will require 2 versions, one for desktop built in any way possible with the theme and one for mobile built with the mobile editor – http://prntscr.com/myajbc
Let me know.
Thanks
Indeed, in the post page it looks as it should – http://prntscr.com/my9z2t
In the homepage I currently see an ad like this – http://prntscr.com/my9zrr
Or like this – http://prntscr.com/mya0bx
Installing, uninstalling demos is not restricted by the license or have anything to do with the license. You have purchased the theme, now you can install demos as you please and use them, there is no problem. The license is for the whole theme, you can use it as you want.
Let me know if you have more questions.
Now it seems valid – http://prntscr.com/my9p3o Also ads appear for me. When the AMP, mobile theme and setting in theme panel are active, the whole website will be AMP on mobile. You can check for verification with this tool
– https://validator.ampproject.org/
Enter URLs there and check.
I should mention that this verification challenge keeps appearing when browsing and checking the website
– http://prntscr.com/my9q8i I had to click images for a few minutes before being allowed to finally access the website
– https://support.cloudflare.com/hc/en-us/articles/203366080-Why-do-I-see-a-captcha-or-challenge-page-Attention-Required-trying-to-visit-a-site-protected-by-Cloudflare-as-a-site-visitor-
Maybe it happens just for me however, for some reason.
It looks like the theme stylesheet is not loading for some reason. The whole website looks broken on all devices. Before anything else this should be fixed, then I will help you with the other issues.
Please deactivate all plugins except theme plugins, leave only the theme plugins including the mobile theme and AMP active. If you made any modifications to the theme files or added code in them remove them temporarily. Also check all code entered in the theme panel. If you use a child theme switch to the main theme. Then check if this has any effect.
In case the website is still broken, you could reinstall the theme. Either by WordPress or by FTP. Let me know the results.
Hi,
So the thumbnails do not appear even for default posts you create and set featured images for? and this is happening only in the homepage? I could take a look at it, please post a link to the website.
Thanks
Hi,
You mean the header being over the slide element? The page uses the overlay menu template
– http://prntscr.com/my7fx8
This positions the header over the page content instead of being in it’s normal position. Let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks
Hi,
So the header is on top of the content? Maybe the headers you are trying use the overlay setting, this would explain it
– http://prntscr.com/my73ln
Check if that is the case, let me know.
Thanks
Hi,
So you are using footer template 1, the one with the two predefined blocks and a categories block
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/
The editor picks block displays featured posts (posts from the featured category), so if you have posts in the featured category they should appear there.
What exactly do you mean that the other blocks cannot be updated?
I could take a look at it, post a link to the website and some more details if possible.
Thanks
Hi,
So you are using the AMP and mobile theme combination? – https://tagdiv.com/amp-newspaper-theme/
The layout should not be broken if you follow the steps mentioned in the guide.
Note that when the mobile theme is active, pages will display only the content you enter in the mobile editor, as mentioned in the guide
– https://tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-automatic-optimization-for-mobile-newspaper-theme/
So each page requires two versions, one for desktop and one for mobile. The homepage on mobile is predefined, there will be a top grid with three featured posts, then the content entered in the mobile editor, then a latest articles section. If no content is entered in the mobile editor for a page, it will be empty when the plugin is active.
Regarding the mobile menu issue, we are aware of it. Seems to affect only specific pages, this is investigated and we will fix it.
let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks
Hi,
I see it currently on your website – http://prntscr.com/my6qaj if it does not function correctly, maybe check their troubleshoot guide and verify that the plugin is configured correctly
– https://documentation.onesignal.com/docs/troubleshooting-web-push
If the plugin requires code to be entered in the theme files, note that the mobile theme uses different files than the main theme – http://prntscr.com/my6r7s
Thanks
