Hi,
@dmasony The YouTube counter is not configured correctly
– https://www.screencast.com/t/Po804KQv8iH
It should be like this, if I am not mistaken about the YouTube channel
– https://www.screencast.com/t/JeBp4o6P7
channel/UCgclNaDIi9eDgLYbJkWAWgg
Twitter will not work however, there were changes made by them. Try installing this social counter plugin
– http://cdn.tagdiv.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/td-social-counter.zip
If it still not works, download the latest theme package 8.8 and update the theme and social counter (they should be automatically updated when the theme is updated however).
@lapoloniadelospolacos Same here, try that social counter and see if it works. If not, update the theme and plugins.
Thanks
Hi,
Those are the only shortcodes that the theme provides. Other shortcodes you want to use you would have to enter directly in the post content. Like a contact form shortcode for example
– https://www.screencast.com/t/U7uA5JaA92
Thanks
Hi,
Now that is unusual, I would suggest as a first step to deactivate all your plugins except theme provided plugins. This quick test will eliminate the possibility that a plugin is causing this. After deactivating them, also clear your cache. Let us know the results.
Thanks
Hi,
If you want to use a previous theme version, you can install it that if you have the respective theme package saved. Or if you made a website backup before updating, restore it.
We are constantly trying to further improve the automatic update for the tagDiv composer, still for some users this seems to fail, then it will remain deactivated (older versions may create problems with updated theme).
In case that happens it will have to be updated manually which should not be a time consuming process. Delete it and install it from the theme plugins panel
– https://www.screencast.com/t/Y8YS1WRB
Update all the rest of the theme plugins you are using after an update. The automatic update will work only for the tagDiv composer and social counter plugin. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.
Also be sure to check the theme requirements as well, WP-memory may be exhausted
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Thanks

Update all the used theme plugins as well. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Hi,
You will have to update the AMP plugin and it will work. This notice was introduced because users did not update theme plugins and that resulted in problems. Deactivate it and delete it and install it from here
– https://www.screencast.com/t/FXWYxbSkC
The tagDiv composer and social counter should update automatically, the rest will have to be updated manually for the moment.
Thanks
Hi,
Please check if the tagDiv composer has been updated automatically to the latest version, also social counter
– https://www.screencast.com/t/SCiuVcTo
If not, delete them both and install them from here
– https://www.screencast.com/t/gO8IQeEK
Then there should be no problem with the website or counter. Let us know otherwise.
Thanks
Hi,
I don’t understand what you mean unfortunately. You mentioned you want to increase the size of the top menu (probably height). Increase the line-height
Default – https://www.screencast.com/t/HqzFtideA0Oq
Line height increased – https://www.screencast.com/t/wlzMkHDZ
Maybe I am not understanding correctly, more details would be helpful in that case. What exactly you want to modify?
Thanks
Hi,
Unless completely public, they will probably not appear in the playlist provided in the composer unfortunately. Public videos with no restrictions should work just fine.
Maybe you could consider using a Vimeo playlist plugin that works with private or limited videos, there could be some.
Thanks
Hi,
@havardkrislok The child theme is useful if you want to modify theme files mainly, so if you plan to do that you can use it. The guide mentioned what files are supported to be modified in the child theme.
More information about child themes can always be found online
– https://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes
– http://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/wordpress-child-theme-pros-cons/
– https://www.wordpressdepartment.com/wordpress-child-theme-pros-cons-wordpress-child-theme/
For CSS customization for example, there are custom code sections in the theme panel
– https://www.screencast.com/t/1ION93IaM
The guide mentions where you can find the child theme
– https://www.screencast.com/t/tuvJrGHeC7
This child theme has to be installed like any normal theme and activated. It is provided ready to be uploaded by FTP, if you want to install it with WordPress you must zip it first
– https://www.screencast.com/t/UqeFIgH8s
For demos please check here
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/demos_introduction/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/installing-demos/
These demos will install for the theme, in no relation to having a child theme or not. They can be uninstalled or switched at any time. If a demo is uninstalled the website will be as it was before installing it.
Let us know if you have further questions.
Thanks
Not with that demo widget, but you could search for some date and time widgets with more customization options so you can display what you want.
Using the load template from the composer will allow you to load a template according to what you were previously editing.
So for example if you were editing a single template, you can load a different single template and sections, or if you were editing an author template you can load a different author template and sections. Sections I believe is an option for all templates.
Regarding that responsive issue when using smaller resolutions, I have added it on our list and we will find a solution as soon as possible. Sorry for the inconvenience.
You can further customize the post template after you import it, the template 17 you mention loads a larger featured image size
– https://www.screencast.com/t/G9KGglUVRJ
But you can change that as you wish.
Hi,
The functionality is still the same as before in responsive. The sidebar will drop but only on phones.
It would be quite complicated to move the sidebar below as on phones, then also stretch the post content and also the moved sidebar elements to display properly in the new location in the width of a tablet.
The new features will allow the creation of post templates with the composer, not chnage the responsive version of the theme.
Thanks
Hi,
That could be caused by insufficient resources, please check the theme system status panel
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Increase the parameters as mentioned, the WP-memory can be set even higher if possible. Then check if this solves the problem. Let us know.
Thanks
Hi,
Maybe there is not enough space to display all the menu items in a single row. You could stretch the menu
– https://www.screencast.com/t/QvE0UyubZwMm
Or maybe I could provide you with some CSS for it, if stretching is not an option for you. Please provide a link to your website so I can take a look.
Thanks
Hi,
You could try increasing the WP-memory to a more higher value if possible, that may not be enough. Also deactivate all other plugins, then activate the tagDiv composer again. Let us know the results of this.
Thanks
Hi,
The tagDiv compose editor can be used by admins and editors, these are the only user roles that can edit pages according to WordPress
– https://www.screencast.com/t/gX3rRHv7tW5
– https://codex.wordpress.org/Roles_and_Capabilities
The theme uses these default WordPress roles for the users. So only admins and editors can edit pages.
Thanks
Hi,
Was the problem solved by increasing the memory? please let us know if possible.
Thanks
WordPress will interpret “de” like a “d” and “e” in that date field
– https://www.screencast.com/t/H1HZxM9X
Please use the supported characters for the date format, according to the WordPress codex.
Seems you managed to insert a HTML widget there after all
– https://www.screencast.com/t/CQmjQGxa4n
Those are some issues I never seen before with WPBakery. Maybe it is not installed properly, try installing it again. Try it like it says here
– https://www.quora.com/How-can-I-install-a-WPBakery-Page-Builder-on-a-WordPress-multi-site
We did not test WPBakery in a multisite, I don’t know why that happens unfortunately.
Hi,
Please try to check the theme system status and requirements
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
If the resources are insufficient there is nothing we could do. All the parameters have to be set accordingly, WP memory higher if possible.
Also check with the hosting provider to maybe check error logs, there could be useful information there. Check your other plugins as well. Let us know what you find.
Thanks
Hi,
Your previous sliders will not be affected by updating the plugin, simply deactivate the old plugin and remove it, then install the new one and activate it.
Thanks
Hi,
We will need more details about the problem you are having for a better understanding. What exactly is happening with the theme CSS? The theme does not have any redirect settings for the stylesheet or in general.
Try reinstalling by FTP
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
Deactivate and remove theme plugins, install theme again from the theme package you are using. Consider updating to the latest version if you use an older version. Update WordPress as well if you did not.
Check and review theme requirements here
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Test with no other plugins except theme plugins, and no child theme. Check htaccess for redirects. Check with hosting for error logs. Let us know.
Thanks
Hi,
That is most unusual indeed. I never seen this before in relation to the mobile theme plugin. A plugin may deactivate itself if intended by the plugin author, but we did not make such a modification to it. I don’t know what could be the cause of this, also nothing concrete online.
After updating the theme update the mobile theme as well. Theme version 8.8 uses this mobile plugin
– https://www.screencast.com/t/LyYLUByWxq
Check the system status panel, see if there are enough resources
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
If possible please let us know if you find the cause of the problem.
Thanks
First there are a few things you could check. The theme system status panel would be most important
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Most issues with the theme and composer are caused by insufficient resources, they are solved by increasing theme as mentioned. If needed ask your hosting provider to increase them for you.
The next thing to check is plugins, deactivate them all except theme plugins you have installed.
Check if the problem is solved first after modifications made to the system status part, also check after deactivating plugins. Let us know the results.
