Hi, I cannot get my images to display on my webpage post pages. I have optimized and re-generated thumbnails.
My home page is loading slowly as well. I don’t know what else to do to get my media images to display. I know they are linked correctly. I have cleared my cache.

For example

But in the previous version of the theme, which was 9, and the tagdiv Composer 2.3, if it would allow me to print, I will give you an example.

My aim was to create a unique home page.
The home page cloud template cannot be used because it may run into speed issues. [As per one of your or your colleague replied]That’s ok .
Therefore what’s the best way to achieve the following using cloud templates?

A unique home page
Unique about Us page
There are about 12 unique pages that need seperate designs.
Unique category pages(s)
For example a unique category page for a tech category and a different for entertainment.

That’s what I was aiming for.

I have encountered a strange issue with the comments section. A few comments, not all, display numbers (as shown in the screenshot). These numbers correspond to the comment’s sequence. For example, if a post has 40 comments, then comment number 32 will appear as seen in the screenshot. https://imgur.com/a/M4Lg9yM

Hello @jozefradi !

We have 3 options for mobile versions that you can use:

1. Responsive version: A responsive version of your website looks similar to the desktop version. TagDiv Composer is used to edit the page.Click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB. There, you can see your mobile version and edit or adjust the elements to look better.

2. Mobile pages: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages

3. Mobile theme plugin: The Mobile Theme is a performance-optimized theme included in the main Newspaper theme that only loads on mobile devices. It comes with its own templates and designs for pages, posts, categories, etc., so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. Please see https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ and https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/ for more information.

A full explanation is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
If you need to use mobile version 1 or 2, then you need to uninstall the Mobile Theme plugin and AMP.

When I try to share an article, I can see that it takes the featured image of your article.

It seems that you have two different single templates for your posts. Assign only one template for both articles. When you access the article, please check which template is assigned, and you can see that on the top bar. For example: https://app.screencast.com/yGnnnMFcWqacY

Thank you!

Hi,

No, you do not need to have the amp plugin activated for mobile page.
Using our theme, you can choose from 3 mobile versions
-> mobile responsive => https://www.screencast.com/t/oJ2ShOp47
-> mobile theme plugin => https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
-> mobile page => https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/ The option that you need to use.
Suppose you created the mobile pages with tagDiv Composer. In that case, when you install the Mobile Theme plugin, your pages will be overwritten by the plugin (the mobile theme comes with its templates for page, post, category, etc, so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout, the page content is made without builders in mobile editor => https://www.screencast.com/t/xbgZG8kH also, the options that are provided to edit the mobile theme version are limited (this keeps the things simple)).
This is a video about Responsive Newspaper Theme, AMP & Mobile Theme, Mobile Pages & Templates -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY.
So, the mobile responsive is what you see when that you select the viewport on phone => https://www.screencast.com/t/matV17hH, so some settings may apply for each viewport(where is the border blue), and others are not(where the border is black).
The mobile page has the mobile templates from Cloud Library => https://www.screencast.com/t/YCcZ8rL8
The Mobile responsive version of the theme and the mobile page editor can be edit with tagDiv Composer, the mobile theme plugin cannot.
For example, you can have the mobile theme plugin activated and use the mobile page/mobile responsive version for the homepage/pages, but for the categories pages/404 page, you can’t use the mobile page/mobile responsive version if you have the mobile theme plugin activated.
So, if you want to design the pages with tagDiv Composer, you can use the mobile page or mobile responsive version.

Thank you!

Hello,

Have you checked for a plugin conflict? Please let only tagdiv and amp plugins be activated and check if the issue persists.

Thank you!

We have disabled AMP for content that is not displayed in the mobile version, but the ads in the header are not showing in the mobile version. They are displaying correctly in the desktop version. Could you please check this issue? The site URL is https://local.fo/.

Hello, The main problems were. 1) The footer and header were not the same on all pages. Example, in the articles it was different and in the pages too. 2) With the mobile phone you see differently depending on the mobile phone and as if the mobile page is missing. 3) While I share my articles on social platforms, I take the cover logo as an image and not that of the individual post.

Thank you for the information
I decided to go back to the responsive version.
I have another question
Is it possible to define (in this responsive version), for example for FLEX LOCK 1 Limit post number, different amounts for individual viewports?
E.g. desktop 4, phone 2.
Because in my case it’s always the same for everyone.

Thank you I removed the code in the AMP Mobile Device setting. I thought AMP was what I needed to do to create mobile pages for my website. Should I be creating mobile pages through Cloud Templates? Is there a setting? Thank you.

Which AMP option (Standard, Transitional, Reader) should I choose so that I can create separate templates for the mobile and desktop versions?

Calin

Hello,

1. This is usually happens when the amp plugin is used with the tagDiv Mobile theme plugin. This is using only the Transitional mode from amp plugin.
If the Amp is not used with the mobile theme plugin then you’ll need to set it on Reader template to can use it with our theme.

2. Our theme and the amp used with our theme do not provide any option to can design the amp version, just to use the provided layout from the mobile theme plugin or amp.

Thank you!

Hi,

I don’t recommend to using amp, because it is deprecated -> https://developer.bigcommerce.com/docs/storefront/wordpress/platform-integration/enabling-amp
Also, you need to set the AMP analytics here https://imgur.com/kHn8ycP

Thank you!

Hi,
If you are using the mobile theme plugin, then you can add those ads in this section – https://i.imgur.com/tg4w3K4.png if you are not using the tagDiv Mobile Theme plugin and only the amp plugin then it is possible to be need to use a dedicate plugin for amp ads (if the amp plugin do not have an option to add the ads).
Thank you!

Hi,

If you use, for example, flex block 1, you can’t add the reading time. The reading time is available only for module builders that can be assigned to the Flex Block Builder.

Thank you!

Hello
Please refer to the video.
There is no problem with widget in configuring in the sidebar.
however when the posts are visited by clicking post url, the posts are not able to display widget.

Now magine situation where the post was found in web search or if i have forwarded the url to someone by email or whatsapp.

Now for example if person lands on a post straightaway, using a post url, they cannot view the post in their own language on mobile posts. however the pages are able to display translator.

I am querrying if the individual posts when viewed in mobile can load the widget just like the way it is displayed on PC Tab and web version.

Currently i have tried everything.

please suggest if there is a way to this.

Hello,

Please let me know how you have configured the AMP plugin. Do you use the mobile theme plugin?
Some customization for AMP https://i.imgur.com/IAd6TUb.png causes the problem

Hello,

The amp doesn’t work with mobile mage; the amp works with mobile theme.\Hi,
I don’t recommend to using amp, because it is deprecated -> https://developer.bigcommerce.com/docs/storefront/wordpress/platform-integration/enabling-amp
For mobile theme + Amp the content need to be added in Mobile Editor -> https://www.screencast.com/t/xbgZG8kH
Please check this topic where I explained each mobile version -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/mobile-version-not-working-properly-2/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/amp-pages-not-working-well-with-this-theme/ and choose what mobile version you want.
Also, please let me know what plugin for the cache you use now.

Thank you!

This is still happening. It has nothing to do with caching or plugins. It is solely due to your theme. Please fix it.

For example, a TOTALLY NEW POST THAT COULD NEVER HAVE BEEN CACHED, ALWAYS SHOWS LIKE THIS INITIALLY. Then, after multiple refreshes, eventually it looks correct. By that time, of course, the reader has long since gone away. This is totally unacceptable and again, is not due to some caching problem.

Hi there, I have a couple of questions about the AMP option on the newspaper theme…

1. Why does switching to Standard AMP mode from Transitional, the AMP plugin automatically reverts it back to ‘Transitional’, while both Desktop and Mobile versions are being served as AMP?

2. How to change the layout, order and design of the AMP versions?

thanks in advance
