Hi, I used newspro theme of the Newspaper. But after I managed all the settings, somehow my metadata that is showing on Google got changed and turned into some Chinese. I installed the Newsletter plugin for the theme, and input the Mailchimp code. The subscribe bar shows up fine on desktop in the homepage, but mobile and ipad it doesn’t show at all. I don’t have the Newspaper mobile theme or the AMP activated, so it should show. But it doesn’t.
Any suggestions?
The newsletter plugin doesn’t work as expected as described on screenshots. Even in your provided example the mailchimp form should include fields “First Name” and “Last Name” but they are missing in tagdiv composer. How can I add these fields to my newsletter form?

For this just use the buttons elements from tagDiv Composer – https://i.imgur.com/UKTgsrS.png those have many options for example you can try some pre-made styles – https://i.imgur.com/qjZsjG5.png or you can make your own one. Hi Anne, that fix will only resolve the theme vulnerability, but if your WordPress is infected you’ll need to manually clean it.
– Change admin passwords and delete admin accounts you are not familiar with;
– Delete any weird/unknown plugins and files;
– Delete the weird/unknown themes and users;
– Clean WordPress files (example – https://i.imgur.com/stJCqiK.png)
– Update the theme to the latest version, Newspaper v12.2

Hi, the people setting up my site used a staging page, and I now understand that they must have forgotten to delete it. It even turns up in google! How do I remove/delete it?
I found the staging page in the “my lisenses” tab, and it appears to me (not native english speaking or vel versed in WP) that the staging page is the active one, and not the regular, that makes no sense to me. Please explain in detail what I will have to do to remove the staging page, and to get the update of my theme done.

Thanks for reply. When I try to update plugin some more. It will be good for one day. Again next day will come. Again remain plugin if I update it will be good again. This what happened yesterday I guess when you checked. Also it’s only from mobile browsers.

Hi all, our excerpt length is set to 15 on the homepage flexblock 1. However, the word count seems to change for each post. For example, if you scroll to the 3rd set of posts, the last post shows 27 words.
Also, if you change the word count to 13, then each post is anywhere from 13-27 (all of them vary).
Further, is there a way to change this to character count vs. word count? Some sentences have much shorter or longer words than others, so it can make the flex block look inconsistent and messy.

Hi there. I have the same problem but it doesn’t get fixed with what you suggested because I have no custom CSS in Custom Code section. This problem also occurred to me before!
So I imported this theme called “Black Version Pro,” and customized it. But whenever I used a different header than provided in the template, my logo and page content got hidden behind the header bar (the page started from top and behind the header bar, not from below header).
I tackled it using custom CSS to position the page below the header (I don’t think this was an optimal solution btw). Now I imported a footer and my logo text (not the logo image), goes up into the screen top after scrolling below and back up.

The child theme is not overwritten by the update. An issue for that could be the compatibility of your child theme with the new version of our theme.
If you have some custom modifications in the theme files, then better save the code and replace it after every update.
