A little advice for that users who will want to use this improvement for Speed-booster plugin.

Using this code in combination for example with that one provided by Chris S in his [tutorial], you’ll have a double-edged knife (you’re warned! 🙂 ) if not used with caution.

Good to know: even if you update your theme to a new version, browsers/CDNs/… and in the end users, they all not recognize your changes until your rules for “Expire headers” will expire! and I’m sure that you’ll go crazy the tagDiv staff 🙂 with: “my users not seen me changes/updates” or similar.

In addition it should be recalled that a normal users (visitors) which makes search on Internet, will not erase the cache from their devices to see our web (recent version).
So, if you are use this snippet, use it with precaution in combination with an flexible time for expire headers depending on your activity!

Can be controled also by Cache-Control Headers but that’s another story apart

So … at the very bottom there’s a Programs & Features post grid, which shows 25 posts – showing 6 posts per screen … the last screen shows one … by itself … i thought selected the ‘loop’ options would randomize and repeat them if necessary.

I’m aware of the reasons for the mobile theme not supporting widgets and shortcodes, but it des render blocks, which is why is like to include some below the post body. I’m not familiar with how the defaul styles applied in the theme panel are implemented. I had hoped that Composer would allow me to clone and modify them.

A few things seem to be hard coded into the theme, which does hamper customisation somewhat. Take for example the sharing buttons. There is no obvious way to add, for example, a “Reddit this” button without delving into code.

Am I missing something obvious?

Aspect Ratio

There’s no ideal image size for cropping, a part of the image will be lost due to aspect ratio differences. On the Newspaper theme some modules have a 16:9 aspect ratio, while others have one closer to 4:3.

Example 1: if you upload an image that has an aspect ratio close to 4:3 the cropping function will cut the bottom on thumbs which have a 16:9 aspect ratio.

Example 2: if you upload a 16:9 image the function will cut a portion from the sides for the thumbs that have an a 4:3 aspect ratio.

Depending on the module used, the best solution is to experiment with different sizes and see which one offers the best results.

Of course I tried with high priority before to ask here, that’s why I asked for an example.

Previously in another topic some days ago, talking with @neotrope (Chris S), he has advised me to increase the priority. I tried on my end all possibilities and combinations: increasing/decreasing the priority, enable/disable speed-booster but allways with the same results (the 4 resource thats on top of this topic remain untouched).

Wp Rocket is not among tested plugins and we can’t provide an accurate answer why it breaks theme’s functionality. From other reports some of the plugin’s features, like page caching works fine, but some of them like css/js minification are known to create issues with our theme.

I’ve checked your site and noticed that you setup block 16 to display posts from category COLLEGE FOOTBALL You can either assign this category for all post that you want them to be displayed in block 16 or add a specific tag for them then use that tag in block’s settings. For example add sport tag for the posts that you want them displayed in block 16 and simple change the filter in block settings: http://screencast.com/t/X0cnoOlcqS

Hi,
just as general rule you should start moving on from “inline styles” and move to CSS classes.

e.g.,
<TABLE width="100%">
to
<TABLE class="mytable100w">

Many browsers are going to not work well with inline styles any more, and your site will fail “AMP” validation with Google’s new protocol.

Just a thought, sorry to intrude.
