Hi,
1. It is possible to have 3 columns in the footer but for the full bottom row you will have to alter the code. For example you could use footer style 5 and add your widget in the footer columns(Footer 1,2,3) – http://screencast.com/t/92ffWeyeKa – http://screencast.com/t/a6H9xNkd and for the social icons you need to edit the template 5 and add this code – http://screencast.com/t/DeJkvoTsn
Also for the bottom row you have to edit td_footer_extra_bottom.php to add your instagram widget – http://screencast.com/t/9diHuQfu0R77
Unfortunately the theme doesn’t have exactly the same template and you need this modification. If you don’t have basic experience I suggest to hire a freelancer to do this for you as we cannot provide custom work, sorry!
2. A solution to add your mail to the subfooter is to add a custom link to the subfooter menu, add an extra class – http://screencast.com/t/9W8mme5QH and add this custom css in Theme Panel > Custom Css – http://screencast.com/t/apZe4DLuZ0
.td-footer-link {
pointer-events: none;
cursor: default;
}
Thanks!
When selecting the new ‘Travel’ template, the top area doesn’t appear. What is needed for the large background image at the top with those 3 blocks?
Thanks, but since we have a lot of 2nd-level subcategories, that could still be a problem on a mobile screen. Is there a way to turn off the 2nd level subcategories so that readers only see the main category, and the first level subcategories?
So under INSPIRE category, we see only:
Culture
Fashion & Style
Health & Wellness
Portraits
Sexuality
and not:
Culture
â Books
â Exhibitions
â Music
Fashion & Style
Health & Wellness
– Body
– Mind
Portraits
Sexuality
Thanks!
Please could you advise on errors from following link:-
thanks!
Hi,
You will need custom modification for this and try to implement Next/Prev feature of post for disabled next/back buttons of the smartlist. You can try something like this in td_smart_list.php file – http://screencast.com/t/5Q5SKJsWFS Here is the code that I have tested(replace like this) – http://screencast.com/t/plVPrSq5vNG – http://pastebin.com/fgU7k1Zj Please make a backup of your current file so you can revert if it doesn’t work.
And use this custom css in Theme Panel > Custom Css – http://screencast.com/t/1afLLa6Vg33b – http://screencast.com/t/cp5Kr3C6r
.td-smart-list-pagination a .td-smart-disable {
cursor:pointer;
}
.td-smart-list-pagination a:hover {
text-decoration: none;
}
If you don’t have basic experience and you want more customization regarding this I suggest to get someone to help you as we cannto provide custom work. I have provided an example and it should work also for you.
Thanks!
Hi
We intent to add new smart lists for Newsmag theme and in some of them the page will be reloaded when the next/prev button is clicked like in this example from Newspaper: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/10-landscapes-wont-even-imagined-exist/ These smart lists are still in development and I can’t say for sure when will be available, but we do our best to release them as soon as possible.
Thanks!
Hi,
You can set the sidebar(custom and position) if you create a custom template and set it individually for each post – http://screencast.com/t/7fQGqRyXt4u0 There is no global sidebar option, only that from the taxonomy settings. The custom post type support is still in development and like you can see in the cpt documentation the example provided has minimum settings. If you want the default settings for it you will need additional customization. We would have gladly made it for you, but the time doesn’t allow us to offer custom work, sorry!
Thanks!

Hello Ryan,
I understood your request and suggested a type of plugin. Might not have been the best example :). Unfortunately you have to find a plugin that has that option yourself.
Hope you find one that works.
Thank you!
Hi,
Please disable all your plugins except of Visual Composer and remove all the customization to the theme files(for example ads from post template) then check if you still have this issue. A plugin or you custom modifications cause this errors and the issue with load more pagination.
I also tested this on my side and did not found any issues. I have added a block to the post template and the load more pagination works – http://screencast.com/t/r9NgHAqu5 – http://screencast.com/t/P5tE3l8Qp – http://screencast.com/t/uQzntcM5OjUH
Thanks!
I should add
Speed Booster is ver 3.1 & Social Counter is ver 2.7
Ran the update script, updates plugins, and am having all sorts of problems.
1. wp booster error:
Please update your [tagDiv social counter] Plugin!
2. Update script didn’t end up giving me the same header & footer (header is blank, footer is different colour with extra stuff displayed)
3. new them using different images sizes
!!??!!
Can I pay you to fix my website?
Cheers
Rick
I think you can modify the CSS to do that. Others have done so in past, and that might be found by searching forum. Or wait for one of TagDiv’s awesome “how to hack it” examples đ
Hi – We are using Newsmag for our website: http://www.inspirelle.com. I just noticed an issue with the Menu bar — hen I look at our menu bar on my iphone 6 plus, the second level subcategories are appearing but not some first level subcategories!
For example under INSPIRE, Health/Wellness and Portraits (first level subcategories) don’t appear, but the second level subcategories of Culture (Books, Exhibitions, Music) do appear.
We need the first level subcategories to appear and NOT the second level ones. Also, the second level subcategories are appearing at the same level as the parent category. We would like for there to be differentiation.
For Example:
under INSPIRE, we should see the following in the drop down menu:
Culture
– Books
– Exhibitions
– Music
Fashion & Style
Health & Wellness
Portraits
Sexuality
But what I currently see under INSPIRE is:
CULTURE
BOOKS
EXHIBITIONS
MUSIC
FASHION & STYLE
If the second level are pushing out the following first level subcategories I’d rather not see the second level subcategories on our mobile menu and just see first level subcategories
Is there a way to fix how the child or subcategories appear on the mobile menu ?
Hello!
So. I use a plugin to generate pdf to publish on the site, but the publication is done via post.
I create a slide in the section that showed you and when I set the filter to view only posts from a particular category (for Magazine Circuit) it does not display. I do not know why.
When I talk about filters, I refer to the settings which enables you to block, for example which categories of posts can have news displayed there.
I’ll give you access to the WP so you can check yourself all I said. I do not know what to do. My clients want to give up, but I said the product of guys is very good and complete. Please help me.

Hello,
I’ve looked through the Theme Settings under “CPT & Taxonomy” and I cannot find an area to choose a default sidebar on the ‘single’ template for each custom post type I have. I can only choose a default sidebar that affects the taxonomy pages.
I’ve already checked this page for advice: https://forum.tagdiv.com/custom-post-type-support/
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
Most themes which auto update in WP use either a theme foundry plugin; or can be updated due to being in the WordPress theme repository (e.g., free themes).
Most commercial themes on ThemeForest and commercial plugins don’t have an “auto update” feature, and generally this is a BAD idea — for example, if people had done auto update from NP4 to NP6, and woken up to find their site broken, that would not have been good.
Similarly some plugins may change settings and require workarounds and/or a perfect example is Yoast who “updated” their old wp meta plugin, by disabling it without telling people it would disable it, even though it still worked. Then printed message on screen – “we’ve discontinued this plugin, please upgrade to Yoast SEO” — well, on one site we didn’t want to do that and had to revert to the original meta plugin. Ouch!
Envato tried to build a theme updater for their themes and you can certainly try that. But often it’s best to review the changelog and see what changed so that you don’t wipe your child theme changes if there is major child theme update, or reset your home page if VC changes, etc.
For example an auto updater today might update the entire theme by deleting old folder and any customizations, and upload new one; when only thing changed was Visual Composer update for security issue. So, today only update it the VC plugin which can be done manually via FTP.
So, while it sounds like a good idea — in practice, it’s really not that advisable.
Hope that made sense — not trying to be contrary, just some feedback from using WP for 10 years and having a lot of cock ups from “auto updates” — we turn them ALL off for our sites due to too many site crashes in middle of the night without warning, or CPU spikes crashing entire box due to a bad plugin (e.g., YOAST, often has major bugs every damn dot upgrade then rushes out 3 rounds of “oops” fixes…. seriously… never install that on “new dot upgrade” — it’s a bad bad idea!). đ
Hi,
If you are in the united States, I wonder if you would be kind enough to view my site and let me know if the images are working?
I may just be paranoid here, but whenever I view the site through a proxy (to check it’s appearance from the US) all the images seem to be missing. I have other sites that work fine when viewing through a proxy, but this one with the Newspaper theme seems to display with blank images?
Website: gadgetviper
Through a US proxy
Thanks
Hello Toj,
This subject is widely debated and there is no simple answer. It is handled by WordPress so you can check their forums. You could find an answer there:

Hi,
Can anyone please help me to revert the default URL for blog posts pages? I don’t want to show breadcrumb structure in Google SERP.
My website url: http://www.topfivebuzz.com
Thanks & Regards

Hi guys,
I have found that, for some reason, using post template style 6 is killing all other images on the same page. For example, see http://www.thecarexpert.co.uk/downsizing-your-car-things-to-consider/
If I use any other featured image style, everything displays correctly (images in sidebar, related posts, more post pop-up, etc.). However, if I choose style 6, all of these other images disappear.
Can anyone offer any advice? I assume that there is a conflict somewhere, but not sure why it only affects that particular template.
Many thanks,
stuart
Hi,
I just want to know how to set a homepage.For example I have created this page (http://www.anandambi.com/myblog/70-2).I want to know how to set this as Homepage.Could you please guide me on how to do this
Hi,
Thanks Chris! The tutorial are more useful, they explain step by step how to add a custom font.
@wpdiv Please read child theme documentation, you can see there all the files supported by child theme – https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-child-theme-support-tutorial/ I provide you an example how you can add a custom font to the stylesheet file, like the theme fonts are added you don’t have to do anything in the less file(just to see the code). Maybe the tutorials posted by Chris will help more(it is the same what I tried to explain, not so good I guess…).
You can disable google fonts via child theme using a hook, please paste this code in the child theme functions file – http://screencast.com/t/hLPMbut3GlOH – http://pastebin.com/HjBxAmTP I have tested this on my side and it should work, please check your page source.
Hope this helps!
I’m not sure I understand you whe you say:
This is not a normal thing since that is kind of what a âfeaturedâ category has traditionally been used for in WP â meaning, you have a âstickyâ category, and then you only have one item in it; then edit that post when you no longer want it featured.
The sticky posts feature is off and it does not work when changing the file td_data_source.php because I am filtering several categories. I desperatly need this feature though. So, I need a workaround for this!
I have got an answer on another forum (PHP forum) to try to solve this:
add_filter('get_terms', 'get_terms_filter', 10, 3);
function get_terms_filter( $terms, $taxonomies, $args )
{
global $wpdb;
$taxonomy = $taxonomies[0];
if ( ! is_array($terms) && count($terms) < 1 )
return $terms;
$filtered_terms = array();
foreach ( $terms as $term )
{
$result = $wpdb->get_var("SELECT COUNT(*) FROM $wpdb->posts p JOIN $wpdb->term_relationships rl ON p.ID = rl.object_id WHERE rl.term_taxonomy_id = $term->term_id AND p.post_status = 'publish' LIMIT 1");
if ( intval($result) > 0 )
$filtered_terms[] = $term;
}
return $filtered_terms;
}
Would it work? My knowledge on PHP is very limited…
Any other solutions?
Hi,
We changed the css(margin, padding) for ads containers, because many users reported that when the ad is hidden extra space is still there. So the css is applied on adsense class or if you use non-adsense on the recommended div containers – http://screencast.com/t/in1YMek1C1W – http://screencast.com/t/IdCbIOf67B
I have checked your site and your code is non-adsense but you also don’t use the recommended div containers – https://forum.tagdiv.com/sidebar-ads/ that’s why the margin bottom is gone. For example I have inspected the sidebar ad spot and there you use a simple div container and you have the bottom space – http://screencast.com/t/JSlGwnpLSeX So this is the solution just try to use a div to your code and see how it goes.
Thanks!
Two image-related questions:
1. Is there a way to limit the image size so that authors don’t upload HUGE image files? These tend to take a long time to load.
2. We want to have all of our banner ad images in a separate folder from the other media. Is there a way to use the WordPress interface to add banner ads/images into it’s own folder and not just with all the other images?
Thanks.
