Hello, I am having a problem that my website has 2 different mobile appearance.
For the example if i want to open “https://sastranesiapers.id/podcast” on my phone it will direct it to “https://sastranesiapers.id/podcast/?amp=1”. In this version the youtube video doesn’t show up and I have to clik the “Exit mobile version” first to get direct to “https://sastranesiapers.id/podcast/?noamp=mobile” to see the video.
I want every single page on my website when visited via mobile it will use the “…../?noamp=mobile” and did not show the “Exit mobile version” or “Go to mobile version” button.
Please help, Thank You!
Hello There,
After installing and doing a rigorous search on Tagdiv forum, I have realized that your team wasn’t able to solve a few major mobile-usability issues. FYI, recently, even I have purchased Newspaper theme and everything was working fine for me, until I install Newspaper theme on our website.
Earlier I had used and several other websites of mine are using some free WordPress themes, such as Generate press and Kadence. and I haven’t faced any problem as such. But now, after installing Newspaper theme, we are getting issues like;
Text too small to read
Content wider than the screen
Clickable elements too close together
Example:
https://franchisegoal.com/mellow-mushroom-franchise-cost-profit/
Note:
Already tried clearing cache, uninstall, and re-install.
We don’t know what has caused this issue and also we have checked the forum and what we can see is only a “Generic Response”, without any proper resolution.
Can you please check and help me in this?
Hey, I’m working on new site and I build top bar for my menu myself. Now I want it also on mobile, I think it would be good on mobile menu screen (link attached for example). Is there some option or how it should be implemented? Example: http://arene.grafical.www33.zoner-asiakas.fi/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/top-bar-on-mobile-menu.png
Dear Anamarija,
I do not have this options.
Big white space is only on mobile version when I added facebook and pinterest embedded link. Please see a code.

Thank you in advance

Hi,
The AMP only works better with the Mobile Theme plugin.
From my point of view, if you don’t use the Mobile Theme plugin, then there is no reason or benefit to AMP.
Also, please check this topic for more details https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/amp-pages-not-working-well-with-this-theme/
Thank you!
i want to share the link with thare text & phot
not my newspaper logo
After the update I started getting AMP error and my site went down. Reality and Lab are very different. I want to use AMP without Mobile Theme. Please help me.

Hi,
I created a new CPT ‘vendors’ and taxonomoies ‘location’ and ‘price’ and wanted to show ‘location’ and ‘price’ on this page https://snipboard.io/EzeMhN.jpg .
I knew I would need to edit the module file as shown in this tutorial https://forum.tagdiv.com/edit-modules-flex-block-x/, but can you let know how to edit it here exactly? For example, I opened my module file and change the taxonomy to ‘location’ but it didn’t work. https://snipboard.io/7npkec.jpg Anything else do I need to change? Under the taxonomy ‘location’, I have a few cities names already https://snipboard.io/vb16JY.jpg
OK … through a ton of testing, I figured out the solution on my own.
The tagDiv Mobile Theme does NOT support when the AMP plugin paired URL structure is set to use a path suffix of /amp/
https://snipboard.io/hFtCXc.jpg
I used this because Hudson Valley Magazine uses that paired URL structure on its site that we’re replacing.
However, when I switched the AMP plugin paired URL structure to use a query parameter … either the standard ?amp=1 or the legacy ?amp … then the mobile theme finally worked properly.
https://staging.hvmag.com/things-to-do/this-week/?amp=1
I’m guessing that your mobile them plugin doesn’t recognize the /amp/ suffix paired URL structure and instead looks for the ?amp parameter in order to properly display the mobile theme on AMP pages.
This is something you need to update in your AMP / mobile theme documentation. And I am very surprised that no one there caught this given that I actually put our AMP paired URL settings in both my original video and as a link in my 2nd post in this thread.

Hello Chris!
A shortcode can be inserted by using the element called “Column text” or “Text with title”. For example, in the step3 here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/add-cryptocurrency-price-ticker-widget/
“Column text” and “text with title” elements have a button called “edit content” and if you click on that button, the WP Editor will open, and you can add some text/code/shortcode there. Close the WP Editor from X, save the changes from Composer and view the page to see the changes.
Thank you!

Hi Bettina. I am really trying to not get frustrated, but it’s like you’re not even reading what I’m writing. Did you see my screenshots above? Did you see how I showed our AMP plugin settings and that we’re using the /amp/ setting for the AMP plugin? Are you all even looking at the information and screenshots that I took a TON of time to document? Or are you all just throwing out generic responses without even trying to understand the information I’m providing?
I know EXACTLY how AMP works. We’ve implemented AMP on dozens of WordPress websites and at least 15 tagDiv Newspaper sites. But this is the first time we’ve implemented AMP on a site that also uses cloud templates … and it’s NOT working the way we expect.
And you do NOT need to come from Google in order to see an AMP page. Other content aggregators such as SmartNews and NewsBreak also use AMP versions of pages. And you can navigate directly to an AMP page without having to go through Google. Here’s an AMP page on our current, old site (not a tagDiv Newspaper site):
https://hvmag.com/food/baked-by-melissa/amp/
You can see the AMP page just fine even if not coming from Google … and you can see that you don’t need to have ?amp at the end of the URL. We have the AMP plugin set up currently to use /amp/ which is just fine.
Here’s another AMP page, but on a tagDiv Newspaper site that does NOT use cloud templates:
https://biztimes.com/nine-block-450-million-redevelopment-planned-in-downtown-kenosha/?amp
You can see the AMP page just fine even if not coming from Google. This particular site does use ?amp as the setting in the AMP plugin. And it’s showing the tagDiv mobile them just fine … because the site does NOT use cloud templates.
Please … before you all respond again … take the time to actually watch the video in my first post. Then fully read my next post and look carefully at the screenshots that I included in that second post.
Thank you.
P.S. I would be willing to pay a good amount to have a Zoom meeting with you all to try to work this out. 🙂
Hello!
The AMP version of your website is only delivered to users who have accessed your website through a Google search result. Otherwise, the regular version of your website will be delivered to visitors, just like in your case. My suggestion is to use Mobile theme + AMP. That way, all visitors coming from mobile browsers will have access to the mobile version of your website. In order to verify an AMP page, you need to be sure that you are accessing one which have at the end of the URL “?amp”.
Thank you!
You’re not reading what I wrote and it’s a bit frustrating.
We ARE using the AMP plugin and the TagDiv Mobile Theme plugin. And we have the mobile theme set to only show on AMP. Did you not see the screenshots I posted above?
The problem is that the mobile theme is NOT showing on AMP pages. Instead, AMP pages are showing the cloud templates for the normal site.
Please take the time to read what I have posted and look at the screenshots.
Hello @rosemarie !
You can split the row in how many columns you need. Check this, for example: https://www.screencast.com/t/mZ2c5XamTFN
Thank you!
Hello @platamun47 !
Please check in the TagDiv Composer, in the CSS tab of the elements and set a margin bottom 0 for example.
Thank you!
Hello!
The AMP only works better with the Mobile Theme plugin.
From my point of view, if you don’t use the Mobile Theme plugin, then there is no reason or benefit to AMP. Please note that if a page is made by Composer, than the content won’t be displayed on Mobile theme version. You should create the content with the Mobile Editor.
Thank you!
Hello @russellk !
The AMP only works better with the Mobile Theme plugin.
From my point of view, if you don’t use the Mobile Theme plugin, then there is no reason or benefit to AMP.
We have 3 options for mobile versions that you can use:
1. Responsive version: A responsive version of your website looks similar to the desktop version. TagDiv Composer is used to edit the page.Click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB. There, you can see your mobile version and edit or adjust the elements to look better.
2. Mobile pages: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages
3. Mobile theme plugin: The Mobile Theme is a performance-optimized theme included in the main Newspaper theme that only loads on mobile devices. It comes with its own templates and designs for pages, posts, categories, etc., so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. Please see https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ and https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/ for more information.
A full explanation is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
If you need to use the mobile version 1 or 2, then you need to disable the Mobile Theme plugin.
Thank you!
Hi,
The home page of my Website https://bchainmeta.com/ has White Space and Formaing Issues. Please help to solve the problems. For Your Understanding, I have attached screenshots for your reference. When open on a desktop computer facing these issues https://prnt.sc/t4tDYERVuC01, https://prnt.sc/T_-6gGCyTOaa. And when opened on a mobile phone website shows Gap on the home page https://prnt.sc/gKTXzkFoAU_- and also shows Tags on the home page on a mobile phone https://prnt.sc/NAlPDJk9oq5d
Hi,
You mean on the links to the author pages. And I assume you want this for the whole website, and for all author links.
That would require making modifications in the theme files, which will be lost after a theme update. Instead of making modifications, I suggest using a code in the theme panel, that will add nofollow to all the links to author pages at once.
For example a code like this – https://prnt.sc/alZfIL4fHcrp
Will add nofollow on the author links – https://prnt.sc/7FRcBANZPwF-
The code is here – https://pastebin.com/yite2a5z
Another way would be to disable the author links, they can be disabled for the modules and for the post pages, in the theme panel. But if you still want to display them, then please try the first solution.
Thank you!
Hello,
it looks like our posts display the featured image properly on phone/portrait but not on desktop view.
See https://supplychains.com/esg-compliant-firms-are-more-profitable-says-bain-and-ecovadis/ for an example.
what do we do wrong?
Hi Calin. Not sure if you watched my video or not. I am very familiar with the mobile theme plugin and options with AMP. I have used it on dozens of TagDiv Newspaper sites just fine. We only ever use the mobile theme for AMP … and we only ever use it for posts.
The problem is that posts that use cloud templates seem to ignore all the AMP settings (header, post template, footer). We don’t want that. We want the AMP version of posts to only show the usual mobile theme as configured for AMP.
In the AMP plugin, we have the following settings:
https://snipboard.io/I7N5Tm.jpg
https://snipboard.io/hFtCXc.jpg
https://snipboard.io/591vgk.jpg
Here is how we have the mobile theme / AMP configured in the Newspaper theme panel …
https://snipboard.io/dzHUZT.jpg
And here are the Newspaper mobile theme header settings …
https://snipboard.io/vsxzNl.jpg
Here’s what a post looks like on mobile using cloud templates (not AMP) …
https://snipboard.io/8EhYnw.jpg
And here’s that same post with AMP …
https://snipboard.io/4MjoNQ.jpg
Notice how the header is NOT the AMP header from the mobile theme? And the body isn’t from the mobile theme either … it’s from the mobile responsive post cloud template.
You can see that we’ve implemented AMP posts just fine before. Here is an example from another TagDiv Newspaper site … but it does NOT use cloud templates.
Normal mobile responsive post …
https://snipboard.io/56YDyw.jpg
And here’s the AMP version of the same post …
https://snipboard.io/ut1ATm.jpg
So again, the challenge seems to be implementing the mobile theme for AMP only and on posts only … but on a site that uses cloud templates for it’s normal pages.
What are we doing wrong? Or is this even possible? Thanks again!
Hello,
We’re having difficulty viewing our store on mobile. There seems to be two separate issues.
1. The store was not visible using a custom template. It was only viewable using the default template. Not a big deal for now, but we’d like to fix this.
2. The biggest issue is that the cart will not display. It only shows the title, “Cart – mobile”. The header and footer display properly.
When we try to troubleshoot AMP using paired browsing, the error, “The navigated URL is not available for paired browsing.” is displayed from the shop link, even though it will display on mobile.
Thank you for your help!
