Newsmag 3.4 & Visual Composer grid builder - topic

Hi all, hope you’re all well…

I’m a noob! When I first started building I was using the basic WP tools to create a (crappy) site.
I’m now trying to use TagDiv template builder and Visual Composer. But when I go and enter my site, nothing changes. It’s still the old crappy site.

What am I doing wrong?

Spacing Gap Between Menu and Content - topic

Hi,

This is probably a simple question but I couldn’t figure it out.

How do I decrease the gap between my page content and the menu? Right now there is a white space gap in between and I would like to make it flush with the main menu. I’ve tried adjusting the CSS on the element on the page (setting it to -50 for example) but this doesn’t seem to work. Is there a universal setting somewhere that controls this?

Should you link to your XML Sitemap from your robots.txt?
We’ve always felt it pointless to link to your XML sitemap from your robots.txt file, because you should add your sitemap manually to your Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools accounts and look at their feedback about it. This is why our Yoast SEO plugin doesn’t add it to your robots.txt. Don’t rely on search engines finding out about your XML sitemap through your robots.txt .

For example, to the Fútbol section, if it appears well on all devices and on Iphone 5, it only looks bad on the flex 1 block and that it has checked.

Thank you Officialabayomi. But why do I have to type the symbol ? before amp on the homepage url to make it work and why if I simply add the amp on the homepage url it does not work i.e. https://www.jetss.com/?amp (works) and https://www.jetss.com/amp (doesn’t work)

Hi Bogdan, I haven’t migrated to tagDiv composer thing yet as it got me into issues last time when I migrated from NP7 to NP8 so I never enabled it in NP9. Is it possible to do it w/o tagDiv composer but rather with a coding in single.php or loop-single.php to insert block-5 section with a list of post IDs?

Hello Catalin, thanks for your feedback regarding the AMP working on posts.
Regarding the AMP for pages, I do have pages buit without pagebuilter like this one: https://www.jetss.com/home/ This page seems to work for AMP = https://www.jetss.com/home/amp however the problem is if I point this page to be my homepage it stops working the amp i.e. if I point https://www.jetss.com/home/ as the homepage of my site the AMP https://www.jetss.com/home/amp simply does not work.
Could you please explain my why and/or how to build my homepage for AMP?

I did notice however that it is really crowded on the bottom – so I suggest people add (&nbsp) at the bottom of the adsense code. It spaces real nice.

Hello aaprofi,

You should create a custom template for Category pages where you can customize it as you wish. An example, you can use an Image Box and add through it a custom link which goes you to a subcategory you want. (just a suggestion). Hi,

1. You could select a block header style which features a center aligned block title. For example this one

If you mean the post titles in modules, you could use some CSS. For example this code will apply for block 4 only

}

CSS codes can be entered in Theme panel->Custom code – CSS section.

2. Block 10 on a full row will display like this

These predefined blocks will always look like they are designed to.

However you could use a flex block, set one module per row, hide the image and excerpt and center align it (flex block 1 used in this example)

The flex blocks are highly customizable, default blocks can only display in a predefined way. Experiment with these blocks and you should obtain the result you want.

Hi,

That modification will replace the publish date with the last updated date. If you wish to have both don’t replace the code, add the publish date code below the default code. Just as Bogdan mentioned in the last reply in that topic.

Hello. Congrats on an amazing theme! I’m having a problem implementing my posts exactly as I want them. I’ve got 2 problems: 1st photos are kept at a distance (it’s like they are 2 lines apart), whereas I want them close together. ( 2nd I post 2 social links at the end of each post but though I put them centered, in Newspaper they are aligned on the left.

I have inspected your website and it seems that AMP works as expected for posts.

My host attempted to help me with the issue and said that this is the error that the theme has that is stopping it from working:

Hi,

I once again tried to switch to the tag-div AMP plugin, which failed again. I would very much like use you AMP plugin, but unfortunately the AMP posts are again displayed incorrectly and you will not be redirected to mobile surfing automatically.

Could I send you my access data for the website and the FTP server again? It leaves me no peace and I would like to switch completely to you functions.

Now I have another problem. I put the flex 1 block as we have been talking in this thread. But when I put this block on the computer it appears perfectly, but then if I go to the IPHONE mobile, all the text is cut off:

This only happens with IPHONE mobiles. On the other hand, if I put it on an ANDROID mobile it looks perfectly:

If you hit any category, for example, Soccer looks good on both ANDROID and IPHONE. But if you hit Portada, it only looks good on ANDROID.

I have only touched what I indicate with the arrow of the block so that in the mobile version I see 1 column as in the other categories:
