Hi,

Thanks for getting back to me.

Ok so I’ve increased the system status memory which has solved problem 1.

For problem 2 & 3 where do I download the updated theme? On theme forrest the latest version was updated on 18th April 2018 and since I only downloaded the theme last week it appears I am on the latest version. It says version 4.3 in system status, is that correct?

4) Here’s the screenshot of how the page looks when viewed as an actual page: https://imgur.com/a/iz9dwzR

Here’s a screenshot of how it looks viewed as a mega menu (I’ve pointed out where the styling errors are so you can see): https://imgur.com/a/Jacygci

Let me know if there is any more info you need.

Thanks again,
Charlie

If someone can recommend a plugin for the body tag or provide a better step step guide on how to insert the body tag, that would be much appreciated.

Hi,

We could take a look, please provide a link to your website where the counter is present. As of the latest theme version all you need to do to configure Facebook is to enter your ID
https://www.screencast.com/t/FofcEspr
Try with a test id like the one I used in the example, check if it works then. Then switch back to yours.

Hi,

Those could be the placeholder images used for various elements. For example the images that are used by the tagDiv composer and multi-purpose plugin
https://www.screencast.com/t/Tq9PrI3yOroN
If removing those images is required for you, you will have to deactivate the tagDiv composer and multi-purpose plugin, then remove them. If the plugins are active and you remove them, they will re-appear.
However those images would not cause any problems with the website, I don’t understand why exactly you want to delete them.

Hi,

Simply enter it in the required format and that is it
https://www.screencast.com/t/TF3dfql6MyE
Once entered it will be included in the AMP post page source
https://www.screencast.com/t/XsCKJ3bULbyI
After a while results and statistics should be available.

Hello,

In our theme amp plugin, the ads are different from the standard ads on non amp templates. Please check this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-amp-plugin-tutorial/
Please use the designated amp ads for your amp templates.

Thank you!

Hi,

You could check your Analytics settings again. If the code is entered as required
https://www.screencast.com/t/HKFzCtH1e
The theme will output it in the post pages. This can be checked by inspecting the post page source
https://www.screencast.com/t/L8rvXmoymJ
We implemented the analytics functionality according to the specifications, so there should be no problem, we did not receive similar reports

Hello,

Sorry but I’m not sure what you mean. Please provide an example of what social icons and what user you are referring to.

Thanks.

Hi,

So maybe something like this – https://www.screencast.com/t/wAR6Llfw
This is the code used in the example, you can change the colors if you want, then enter it in Theme panel->Custom CSS section

.td_block_big_grid_fl_8.td-grid-style-4 .entry-title {
background-color: rgba(255,255,255, 0.7);
}
.td_block_big_grid_fl_8 .td-big-grid-post .entry-title a {
color: #111;
}

Thanks

Hello,

Our theme does have an article top ad spot, but it will not show up above the article title. It shows up below the title. If you need such an ad spot, it can only be made custom by altering the theme php files. Here is an example.
place an ad in the custom ad 1 spot and then use this code in the template file corresponding for the post style that you use:
<?php echo do_shortcode ('[td_block_ad_box spot_id="custom_ad_1"]'); ?>

Thanks.

I am using the construction theme from newspaper and I have a video set up on the homepage which I created and am using through youtube. I noticed that the video does not work on mobile version and only displays the youtube play button. I have researched answers in the forum and apparently this is not fixable.
What are the options to overcome this? Is it possible to have different settings on each version, for example to have a solid image on the mobile version instead without it affecting other versions that play video. If so, please walk me through how to do this in the TD Composer.

So I did a fresh install of WordPress and a new install of your theme and same problems.

1. The WordPress Dash Board menu at the top is a blank white bar
2. The Composer does not work at all and after inspecting elements I see this in the console:

js_files_for_wrapper.min.js?ver=__td_aurora_deploy_version__:205 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘deleteItem’ of undefined

3. Still no footer.

How can these errors arise on a fresh install? no other plugins are there. Nothing new WordPress install uploaded the theme. Bame! Error after Error… I haven’t even touched anything yet.

Hey,

I used AMP for my Website. But since I noticed, that I dont need it that much, i deactivated it. But now Google has my AMP-Versions of my Blogposts in his Index. That means, when someone gets to my blogposts through certain keywords, they get the link for the AMP-Version. And when they click on this versions, it says 404-Error.

Can anyone help me out?
Thanks!

In theme panel > custom css, I have this code posted:

@media
screen and (min-width: 426px) {

.advert {background: url(http://example.com/wp-content/uploads/advert-1.jpg);
background-repeat: no-repeat;
background-size: 100% 100%;
display: block;
width: 100%;
height: 90px;
}
}

@media
screen and (min-width: 375px) and (max-width: 425px) {

.advert {background: url(http://example.com/wp-content/uploads/advert-2.jpg);
background-repeat: no-repeat;
display: block; background-size: 100% 100%;
width: 100%;
height: 90px;
}
}

@media
screen and (min-width: 320px) and (max-width: 374px) {

.advert {background: url(http://example.com/wp-content/uploads/advert-3.jpg);
background-repeat: no-repeat;
display: block; background-size: 100% 100%;
width: 100%;
height: 77px;
}
}

Weird thing is, testing it on a 320px iphone, it works for the homepage but not on categories & posts. Same thing for firefox browser on desktop. When I test it with google devtools (adjusting the device sizes) it does show up. What is with the inconsistencies? I don’t have the latest theme update, could that be it? Even some pages on mobile it gives me the wrong image….

Hi

The new updates are breaking my site when I install & activate TagDiv AMP or TagDiv newsletter. Widgets are not saving and changes on the theme panel not saving.

Okay, I hope I can explain this right because I don’t entirely understand it myself. Pre-AMP I had Google Adsense code in different places on my site, including some that would show up inline inside a post.

After activating AMP, I discovered that AMP doesn’t like the coding for the Ads, even though it’s all Google. I discovered how to add AMP Ads using the Newspaper dashboard, and removed all the “regular” Ad codes so that AMP would work.

Now, whenever a reader is served a NON-AMP post, there are no inline ads. In fact, there are very few Ads at all. I think just my footer Ad shows.

So, my question is, if I use the Newspaper dashboard to copy/paste the regular Adsense code, will that, in effect, just put the Ad code into my article, thus conflicting with AMP? Or, is it done in a way in which it would not interfere with AMP.

AMP had the issue with the <script> tag in Adsense ads. Will that tag be in the article coding if I do it thru the dashboard?

UPDATE:
REMAIN THE ISSUES:
1. “More from author” (bottom of posts)
My “more from author” (related articles) tab is going crazy.. showing up links for posts in the other site language and missing/or not identified posts. [ https://www.dropbox.com/s/aks3dohs1uoon3c/Renewing%20EU%20and%20US%20Soft%20Power%20in%20Central%20Asia%20%20%20EUCAM.png?dl=0 ]

2. Author’s page translation string does not work

I translated strings for some authors but it doesn’t show on author’s pages: http://eucentralasia.eu/ru/author/sebastienpeyrouse/ However, it shows under posts (bio boxes): http://eucentralasia.eu/ru/2014/06/how-does-central-asia-view-the-eu-ru/

3. Please disregard this issue >> Research &amp; Publications Mega Menu bug:

When logged out of the backend, I hover over Research&amp;Pubs in RU, All publications section loads correctly once. I go to Брифинги, it loads EN policy briefs, the same for working papers. Then All publications section preview stops loading altogether. Once again, it happens only when I am logged out”

I just found out the solution for the MegaMenu issue. Was a setting missed in wpml. » » [Store a language cookie to support language filtering for AJAX]

Testing my site in pingdom tools, it shows the plugin Ultimate Member 2.0 having tons of js and css files not combined. Is there a custom way to do this with this theme? I’ve heard W3 Total Cache combines it but is this supported by theme? Thanks.

Hello,
We have recently bought your theme called “Newspaper.” Our website has lots of readers provided by various apps such as Bundle News. When we use the AMP plugin which is used with the theme, the news shared on the website appears in the apps that we are registered but the number of hits the news received is not shown on Analytics although Analytics codes are defined.
Also when AMP is activated the order of the links shown on Analytics should be like content link/amp but it’s amp/content link.
What steps should we take in order to rearrange it and to use theme’s AMP plugin?

ok so I checked and for some reason, my php was set to ea-php70 – After, moving it down to ea-php56 the photo issue was resolved along with a lot of the errors posted above… But 1

In the Requirement Page, you linked me it suggests having php of 52 or greater. But there is a lot of php issues with php70 – So perhaps change that 😀

I still have the TagDiv Composer not working and this Footer Issue. This is the only fatal error left after the php change:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function mb_detect_encoding() in /home/cleanthe/public_html/New/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/includes/wp_booster/td_css_res_compiler.php on line 54
