Hi

I just posted this on the evanto page, hope you can help.

I have two issues I wonder if I could get your help with them.

1. When I use Gutenburg blocks, such as ultimate Addons I set them to full width and it looks great on desk top but on mobile it always has a white border like its auto applying a margin to the page. How do I get rid of this? I cant find a setting anywhere.
https://myokotourism.com/putmenu/

This can be fixed by altering the mobile css and removing the
left and right padding.

2. when you look at a category page on mobile the whole page is off set to the left and not centered, again no idea why as I have checked all the settings.
https://myokotourism.com/category/ski/

That is caused by the WPBakery page builder that adds an extra padding to the rows and breaks the layout. That can also be adjusted with css. Please use the support forum and our support team will gladly provide the mentioned solutions to apply to your site.

Hi,

I think that the mobile version is look like that because you have the mobile theme plugin that provide you a better speed then responsive version of theme, but in order to achieve that speed you’ll need to create a new content for pages because in the most of cases those were made with builders ( tagDiv Composer, WPBakery ) and you need to use only the mobile editor ( you need to set the content for pages in mobile editor and this content will be display on mobile theme)
-> https://www.screencast.com/t/ebUIzt4se

Since Newspaper v9.7.4 you can show the responsive version on mobile theme -> http://prntscr.com/oh6r2s you can check more details about mobile theme in our documentation -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/

If there is still a problem, please provide me a link where I can inspect it.

Thank you!

Hello !

That is because you’re using WP Bakery. Please add this custom css code: .single .td-post-content .vc_row {
margin-left: auto;
margin-right: auto;
}

In here: https://www.screencast.com/t/6Ppnv2F2lz

Hi Sprint News,

TagDiv Composer is not an adopted plugin, is the theme builder, the WPBakery ( old Visual Composer ) is a bundled one -> https://help.market.envato.com/hc/en-us/articles/213762463-Bundled-Plugins
Please notice that these changes that were made in the latest updates were requirements from Envato -> https://tagdiv.com/updating-the-core-of-tagdiv-themes/ therefore the theme functions were moved in tagDiv Composer ( this is the theme builder ) also the child theme need to be changed to work as expected.

In case you want a refund however, you can request it here
https://themeforest.net/refund_requests/new
We will approve it as soon as possible.

Thank you for your understanding!

Hi,

In the latest version is possible to be some problems between tagDiv Composer and WPBakery, please deactivate the WPBakery plugin and try again.

1) if you want to have more control over the blocks layout, then you can try the flex block -> https://i.imgur.com/6DftZdi.jpg -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/flex-block-settings-guide/

2) Using tagDiv Composer on Newsmag theme you can not set 1/4, 2/4, 1/4 you can achieve only 1/3, 2/3

Hi,

The speed of your website depends on how well your site is optimized, if you follow the steps which are presented in this tutorial here -> https://tagdiv.com/how-to-increase-page-loading-speed/ you’ll be able to increase the speed of your website.
Also you can check this similar topic for more solutions: -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/optimize-script-to-improve-site-speed/

In order to achieve that speed on mobile you’ll need to create a new content for pages because in the most of cases those were made with builders ( tagDiv Composer, WPBakery ) and you need to use only the mobile editor ( you need to set the content for pages in mobile editor and this content will be display on mobile theme)
-> https://i.imgur.com/2Qbm07y.png

Also we do offer page speed services over a fee, if you want us to increase your page speed you can check our custom services from here -> https://tagdiv.com/premium-customization-services/

Hi
I have two issues that I would like your help on:

1) when I’m setting up the front page I would like to control how many columns the blocks of content show. For instance, I would like the block 4 to be a full width block that with two columns. When I set it up, the blocks typically show 3 columns of content when they are on a full width page.

Where can I control the number of columns?

2) On the front page, I would like to have a row that is divided 1/4, 2/4, 1/4. I can’t find that selection in the TAGDIV composer and in the WPBakery I can find it but it does not show correctly?

Is it possible to make that division of a row?

On one of my other sites, I use an older version of Newsmag that does not use the TAGDIV composer and here I can do the above things very easily.

Thanks!

Hi,

Liking very much what I see in the videos, bought the newspaper pack and installed into wordpress.com
However, I only get to see parts and slightly different than what appears in the videos.

I do not get the tagdiv ‘blue logo’ in my pages/posts to be able to open it… It just gives the page or post without the clickable blue tagdiv button:

https://snipboard.io/2B9hJH.jpg no tagdivbutton photo as an example whilst opening a new page in wordpress

I do have the https://snipboard.io/LpiMzr.jpg newspaperappearsinstalledphoto on the customize part in wordpress.com

You see the panel is there, but how to get all of this like in the video and be able to change directly frontend into pages?

https://snipboard.io/3uDTtV.jpg photooftheme editor under customiser in wp.com

Furthermore, I uploaded the crypto-theme specifically…

1. I noticed a difference between the pro-themes and one like the crypto one. Is pro more comfortable to work with? Because it seems difficult to make changes, though it looks simple on the presentation videos. Are there in detail videos how to work with this. Like really step by step guides?

2. Is it more wise to build from scratch? Or do you have advice how to go a about as a novice? (Well, I worked on Weebly. So I know a tiny bit of HTML… And I know basics of design in such an environment. But very new to WordPress…

To give you an example: I installed the crypto plugin. But then to get the color of the background in that block identical to the moving banner, I would need the exact same color reference number. That’s like looking into a haystack: Either find it in the Theme Panel, of which I am still discovering all the different usages and possibilities. Either find it in the code. Look at the following page, which is almost Chinese:

https://snipboard.io/fdu52k.jpg homepage in wpcom editform

Even placing the banner was almost a gamble, the: [ccpw id=”348″] Because there is little text there. Probably referring to the theme editor & how you built the theme and how it works.

I installed all basic plugins. No WPBakery. Yes TagDiv Composer, Yes Cloud Library and so on:

https://snipboard.io/KuZGIy.jpg most plugins on theme composer

AS WELL AS THE STANDARD PACK PLUGIN!!!! is ACTIVATED FOR NOW

Strange however I could not do it directly through this page https://snipboard.io/ov6tXs.jpg start with newspaper theme plugins In your intro it says how it should work through here through a single click, which it didn’t/doesn’t. It still keeps showing ‘OUTDATED’ for all there mentioned plugins. Odd.

SO somehow I don’t get this view: https://snipboard.io/hUufoO.jpg as seen on Basics: Using the tagDiv Composer Front-End Page Builder

From your page here: https://tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-page-builder-basics/ tagdiv-composer-builder-basics

I also do not notice any ADD ELEMENT BUTTON as advertised on above-mentioned page: https://snipboard.io/uIZbwh.jpg add element picture example

And of course I am looking for full functionality as seen in your example videos. Wondering what I am doing wrong? Please advice me how to get going!

One more thing:

Here it says “USE THE STANDARD PACK”

https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-update-standard-pack-or-tagdiv-cloud-templates/

Then it says “Deactivate Standard Pack for blazing fast-websites”, so when do you use it? When do you de-activate it? Kind of confusing as a newbie: to see that all in one page, use don’t use 😉

Wishing you and your team a wonderful New Year!!!

Kind regards,
Erwin Vanmassenhove

I’m not using WPBakery but I was using Visual Composer alongside tagDiv Composer and it didn’t fix the display.
I’m saying this because I read online that Visual Composer is the updated version of WPBakery so I thought if it’s different to buy WPBakery.

If you say they’re different then I’ll buy WPBakery to test out.

Hope to hear back from you! and thanks!

Hi,

This problem can appear from a plugin conflict, are you using the WPBakery with tagDiv Composer? Please make a test and deactivate all plugins except these with tagDiv in there names and check if the problem persists.

Hi teodormiu,

You are using a quite old theme version, I think that the best solution will be to make a copy of your website on subdomain and make there the update, also if you are using child theme, please deactivate it, also make sure that you are using the latest version of theme, Newspaper 10.2 with the latest version of WordPress and you sett all the theme requirements as in our guide.
Also please check some of the major changes in the theme:
How to Update the Newspaper Theme for WordPress
Updating the Core of the tagDiv Themes for Envato WordPress Requirements
Newspaper Theme 10: Standard Pack or tagDiv Cloud Templates?
Also Now we recommend to use tagDiv Composer, this is the theme builder also you can choose new templates from tagDiv Cloud Library.

The Visual Composer is still include in our theme ( it’s named now WPBakery ) this can be found inside the package get from themeforest, unzip it and look in plugins folder -> https://i.imgur.com/aVpLe6i.png unfortunately in Newspaper X there are some issues between theme builder and WPBakery, therefore we recommend to use the tagDiv Composer.

If you need help with something that we can help, just let us know!

Thank you for your understanding!

Hi keyurgadher,

Is no need to activate the WPBakery Page Builder plugin is and Bundled Plugin in our theme not a standalone plugin ( you do not need a licence to use the version that comes with our theme ), please check the envato documentation for those plugins
https://help.market.envato.com/hc/en-us/articles/213762463-Bundled-Plugins

Unfortunately in the latest version of the theme is possible to be some issues if the tagDiv Composer and WPBakery are activated.
We recommend to use tagDiv Composer, the theme builder.

Thank you!

Hi,

Please notice that replying multiple times will refresh the topic date and move it to the back of the line, we answer from oldest to newest. Also please note the allocated support hours mentioned in the top banner.

Please notice that your demos were made using tagDiv Composer and tagDiv Cloud Library, so please do not use/edit the pages with WPBakery, in the last version of this ( Newspaper 10.2 ) we recommend to deactivate the WPBakery, also all the pages and template are build with shortocdes, so this need to be edited with tagdiv Composer.

If you have more questions or you need help, let me know.

Copy-pasting Calin’s reply from an earlier topic:
Usually the “Invalid reply from server endpoint error” is caused by insufficient WP_Memory_limit.
Please make sure that all the settings are like in our requirements, please follow the guide carefully
https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
and please increase all requirements that are lower, and follow all steps.
Also please notice that we do not recommend to use WP Bakery with tagDiv Cloud Library, if you want to use cloud templates, please deactivate it.

The other scenario could be of a plugin conflict. I disabled all plugins apart from “Tested Plugins”, by the way, tested plugins can be found in Newspaper->Plugins(https://www.yourwebsite.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=td_theme_support). I tried enabling Untested Plugins one by one and then checking the Cloud Templates->Add New(https://prnt.sc/q4li14). By this testing, I could find the plugin which caused this error. Now the culprit untested plugin was not a new install, but after the recent updates to it, this “Invalid reply from server endpoint error” started throwing up in Cloud Templates. So, that’s how I solved it.

Hi,

Unfortunately in the latest version of the theme there are some conflicts between tagDiv Composer and WP Bakery, also now all the theme functionality it was moved in tagDiv Composer, if you disable this plugin you’ll have a default theme like twenty sixteen.

Thank you for your understanding and sorry for the inconvenience!
