1. Can I also change tittle blocks on homepage created with VC to look like this
http://prntscr.com/8t9e7y
2. Can I change on single post, related post title block. I am not showing more from author, just related post to look like this: (change look and color)
http://prntscr.com/8t9flb
3. On category and subcategory page I also want to change Block title look and color to look like this:
http://prntscr.com/8t9hh4
4. I am using ajax filter on category pages, but I want to have only 2 option, to show just latest and popular posts, that mean i want to exclude: featured, 7 days popular, by review score and random. Is that posible?
http://prntscr.com/8t9j23
5. On home page I am using big grid with style 2, is that posible to change position and look of category tag to look like this:
http://prntscr.com/8t9ml1
Thank you very much

Hi
Visual Composer plugin was not intended to work on posts with our theme and some features will not work fine in that case. When this plugin it’s used on posts the html structure change and the css code no longer applies as usually, that’s why the text doesn’t warp around the image.
As you suggested using a text block could be a solution to warp text around the image when VC it’s enabled for posts: http://screencast.com/t/EhVcxFeDxVc – http://screencast.com/t/CgKaaxQxI5
Thanks!
On iPhone the [td_block_big_grid_1…. does not load?
On iPad it’s okay only iPhone not how to fix this?
Hi,
Do you refer to the classic pagination(numeric)? Or to the next/prev block pagination?
If you are referring to the numeric pagination also the url should change when you click next – http://screencast.com/t/3FPHjsFDWAV so if it doesn’t change please re-save your permalinks from WP Settings.
For next/prev pagination please disable all the plugins except of Visual Composer and also check the browser console for errors. This issue appears usually when it is a conflict between a plugin(or more) and the theme’s javascript.
Regarding your second issue you can search online tutorials like – https://managewp.com/how-to-create-a-local-copy-of-a-live-wordpress-site
Thanks!
Hi,
Please create a few test posts (about 8) and add featured images to them. You can use the same image if you want.
Then when you add a block element on your page using visual composer, the block settings will appear: http://screencast.com/t/8o9SoWHQ – http://screencast.com/t/RfL2Ew0CcTO. There are a few option like the number of posts. If you only have 4 posts it will not slide because it will have nothing to slide to. You have to change this option to at least 8. Now your slider should appear and slide through your posts.
There are a number of other settings to a block element.
The first thing we recommend when using our theme for the first time is to check the documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-tutorial/ You will find very useful information in there.
You can also check our Youtube Chanel for video tutorials: https://www.youtube.com/user/tagdiv
I hope this helps.
Thank you.
Hi, Andrei
Thanks for the solution, it worked perfectly.
I really like the customization capabilities of Newsmag 😉
On that note, now my block 13 displays the category tag, date and post views. The category tag is black by default (for all the modules/blocks).
1. Is there a way to customize the color of the category tag?
2. How about to color-code the categories, I have only 3 categories and displaying them in different colors would look really awesome? Is that possible?
3. What will happen to all of the changes to code( that I’ve applied so far) when I update the theme?
What can I do to make sure I don’t loose any of my current modifications and yet update the theme?
About the Social Share buttons: They are beautifully designed and work perfectly (the visual) with any of the post templates. It would make an awesome feature to be able to fit them in the details of each post, on at least some of the modules. Please put that in the ‘Future updates Wishlist’ 🙂 I am sure many customers will appreciate that!
Hi,
The style 8 works exactly like the homepage block so I guess you will need more customization – http://screencast.com/t/U6ReMU1BSt
Thanks!
Hi,
I have checked your page and the zoom effect works properly for Big Grid blocks.
Thanks!
Hello,
Please paste this custom CSS in the theme panel-Custom CSS box:
.td-header-style-5 .sf-menu>li>a:after {
background-color: transparent;
content: "";
width: 100%;
height: 4px;
position: absolute;
bottom: 0;
left: 0;
-webkit-transform: translate3d(0,0,0);
transform: translate3d(0,0,0);
display: block;
}
.td-header-style-5 .sf-menu>.current-menu-item>a:after, .td-header-style-5 .sf-menu>.current-menu-ancestor>a:after, .td-header-style-5 .sf-menu>.current-category-ancestor>a:after, .td-header-style-5 .sf-menu>li:hover>a:after, .td-header-style-5 .sf-menu>.sfHover>a:after {
background-color: red !important;
}
.td-header-style-5 .black-menu .sf-menu > .current-menu-item > a, .td-header-style-5 .black-menu .sf-menu > .current-menu-ancestor > a, .td-header-style-5 .black-menu .sf-menu > .current-category-ancestor > a, .td-header-style-5 .black-menu .sf-menu > li > a:hover, .td-header-style-5 .black-menu .sf-menu > .sfHover > a {
background-color: transparent !important;
}
I set the border color to red, but you can modify the code to any color you want it to display.
Thanks.
Hello Rudy,
Please make sure your slider has posts to display. If the block settings specify a category or tag that do not contain posts, the element will not appear.
If the block has posts to display but it still doesn’t, please provide a link to your website so we can take a closer look.
Thank you!
When a I create a post and apply a featured image with post template style 1, the post appears the way I like it. The featured image is in the top left with text to the right side wrapping the image. Then when I use visual composer the featured image now stands by it self at the top of the post and the text is below the featured image. There is no text wrapping. Does visual composer ignore the style 1?
Do I have to turn off the featured image setting for posts and use the text block in visual composer inserting an image to the left
Thank you Alin !
I am interested mainly for the translation of the theme’s core (blocks,date, widgets, menus, etc.) I have managed to do some of the things withe the polylang plugin but still cannot have the Menus in different languages. Could this be solved with the WPML plugin?
Is the WPML plugin supported?
In the advertising page of the Newspaper theme it is implied that multi-language translations are possible and that was the reason I purchased the theme.
Unfortunately this not true. The theme’s Blocks and Menus cannot be translated through the “Theme Panel”.
Hello,
I am having major issues with the Homepage Post block.
When I add it into Visual Composer, it drops it down so it is the last thing on the page. I have tried everything but nothing seems to work.
You can see the issue here:
http://www.cgmagonline.com/homepage-style2/
Hello,
I seem to be having issues with block 18. When I use it the small images do not show.
You can see the issue here:
http://www.cgmagonline.com/homepage-style7/
Any help would be amazing!
Hi
1. Try this custom css i theme panel > custom css: http://screencast.com/t/sI4dZ4mylrz
.category .td-subcategory-header a.td-current-sub-category,
.category .td-subcategory-header .td-category a:hover {
background-color: transparent !important;
position: relative;
border-radius: 0;
}
.category .td-subcategory-header .entry-category a.td-current-sub-category:before,
.category .td-subcategory-header .entry-category a:hover:before {
content: '';
background-color: #222;
width: 100%;
height: 100%;
position: absolute;
top: 0;
left: 0;
z-index: -1;
-webkit-transform: skew(-30deg);
-moz-transform: skew(-30deg);
-o-transform: skew(-30deg);
-ms-transform: skew(-30deg);
transform: skew(-30deg);
}
2. To add the published time you need to edit the file corresponding with the post template used and add this line of code like here: http://screencast.com/t/qLlMiEp0rkp – http://screencast.com/t/NyGF96PyB
<?php echo get_the_time('g:i a'); ?>
To move the Via Name and Via url on top follow this link: http://screencast.com/t/F2JZR7VU1A Also you need to add this css in theme panel > custom css: http://screencast.com/t/YGgeR18Imem5
.td-post-source-via{
display: inline-block;
margin-left: 10px;
}
Thanks!

Hi
1. I am not sure what you mean but if you want to count the post’s shares you would need a plugin as the theme doesn’t have an option for that. The theme wasn’t designed to display the social sharing buttons on pages, you will need custom modifications in theme core files ton achieve that. You can find some useful information in this topic: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/can-i-edit-block3/ Please note that this is complex tacks and you’re not aware of the steps you need to take in this regard please consider hiring a developer or a freelancer to do this for you as we can’t offer custom services at the moment.
2. You can remove the Pintrest share button by editing td_module_single.php file and delete this line: http://screencast.com/t/4s5kcUCsEvr – http://screencast.com/t/OM5SNSEPnn – http://screencast.com/t/SV7modnT3 In order to add a new sharing button please follow this tutorial: https://forum.tagdiv.com/add-a-new-linkedin-button/
3. Please make sure that you enabled the social icons in top bar: http://screencast.com/t/som0EZIfwQ clear all caches and test again.
Thanks!

Hi
1. Please make sure that you follow our documentation in order to add a new menu item: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-main-menu/
2. I’ve checked a few posts from your site an noticed that the featured images are missing. Try to same the permalinks under Settings > Permalinks: http://screencast.com/t/qdJQQSawVo regenerate your thumbs: https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/ clear all caches, deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer and test again. Note that we didn’t test the theme with re-post/cloning plugins so I can’t say how will work with them. Also the theme does not set automatically a featured image for posts, you will have to do this manually.
3. The images are displayed fine now. If this happens again try to deactivate lazy load animation and all others plugins except Visual Composer then test again.
Thanks!
Hello,
As an alternative, you can have older posts on your homepage, you can add a different block element and set the specific posts you want to display in that block by tag.(https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-tutorial/) Just tag your older posts you want to bring to your homepage and set the specific tag in block settings to filter by that tag. The only downside is you cannot have latest and older posts in the same block.
Thank you!
Hello,
The page that you tried to change uses visual composer elements (a text block more precise). These titles will not be changed from the theme page fonts. You can change the modules and blocks font as well but the text box is a visual composer element and it’s title is not controlled by the theme. You can target it with css if you want to change it:
this will override all your headings to the font you want:
h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, h6{
font-family: Helvetica Neue!important;
}
Or if you want to target just the text block:
.wpb_text_column h1{
font-family: Helvetica Neue!important;
}
Thank you!
Hi
I’ve noticed that you added the block 1 inside a row which is inside another row, that’s why the block it’s not displayed correct. Try to remove the second row and teet again: http://screencast.com/t/fjjzVC8m
Let me know how it goes.
Thanks!
Hello,
You can control excerpts from the theme panel on every module and block separately: http://screencast.com/t/O6jTY85NK
You can read more about our theme’s excerpts here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/excerpts-introduction/
I hope this helps
Thank you!
Hello,
Unfortunately that option will not work with our theme. Our modules and blocks use custom made excerpts that are controlled by the theme and you can set their length from the theme panel: http://screencast.com/t/O6jTY85NK – https://forum.tagdiv.com/excerpts-introduction/
As an alternative you could use block 12: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-12/ which has a read more button at the bottom.
Thank you!
Hi
The theme have an option to filter the posts by tags in block settings here: http://screencast.com/t/RNbLbsg7V3B – http://screencast.com/t/RRBF6cU4v9
Thanks!
