Unfortunately this was a small update just to fix SEO incompatibility issue and we forgot to change the theme version, but if you downloaded the latest version from themeforest then it is 6.2.1. Sorry for inconvenience!
To have also h1 and h2 to your pages just add a text block anywhere on the page(you can add it in the sidebar for example and use it on more pages) and add a title and a small description.

If you have tested the code in a text block it should be display it so there is no issue with the theme ad system. May there is a limit for your ads on the page, also please contact your ad provider if you still can’t manage to make them work.

The default value to limit posts on blocks is added from the code so if you want to change this – http://screencast.com/t/t4l1SZyC If you leave that field empty the limit post number will be the number from WordPress settings > Reading, but unfortunately every time you edit the page and block the default value(5) will be added there again. You also can try to limit posts to 0, it seems to work better then leave the field empty as it will be not added the default limit post value again.
A solution is also to create a page, set page template to “pagebuilder with latest articles”(use it without content) and set only latest articles to display articles from that specific category(it will work like a blog page) – http://screencast.com/t/rC5LNJWrXE

I’m sorry that you had those issues in version 6 of the theme. Newspaper 6 should be regarded as a new theme, it was practically rewritten so all customizations(files, css) from version 4 will not work and you will have to make these modifications again. We made a script that if you run it after update it will import from database olde settings, the shortcodes.. like you can see in the documentation – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ Unfortunately you will have to re-add your widgets in the sidebars as some of them may not be imported or don’t exist anymore, also they will become inactive.
I’m not sure what was the issue with Big Slider, as you can see on our demo Big Grid Slider(like on Newspaper4) is still available – http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/big-grid-slide/ also we added more Big Grid blocks(these are not sliders).

For start you can choose a predefined template like the homepage – video template(see the video)- http://screencast.com/t/wTGN6mj0vJN but this will not use video files, just usual text and image content. Click on the template to select it. Now all the rows, blocks, sidebar and ad boxes are already imported on your new page. Now click Publish to save settings.
Also after you have created your page you can set it as static frontpage from Settings > Reading – http://screencast.com/t/dWdpT5FUTdT

Sorry for delay, we answer to the most oldest topics and because you’ve added a new replies we missed your post!

Please make sure that you enabled 7 days post sorting from Theme Panel > Block Settings – http://screencast.com/t/WbnxbTsx4 also you can check this without any plugins active, leave just Visual Composer active as it might be some plugins conflict. Also test it by editing a post and take a look at custom fields: http://screencast.com/t/mSiJvu61tGj then refresh the post a few times and check if it increments. If those values are changed when the post is viewed then 7 day sort should work properly.
If you want to display only last 7 days created posts, you can use “random posts from last week” sort order – http://screencast.com/t/Xa7PfhAI0vi

Unfortunately we removed this option so in version 6 of the theme the post views can be enabled/disabled only for post template, it is not available for modules/blocks like in version 4, sorry! Only comments count can be displayed on blocks/modules liek you can see also on our demo – http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/

Hi,

I’m not sure why the custom ad is not displayed there, as you can see above it is displayed fine. The theme ad system doesn’t modify the code and it should not be displayed above if there is an issue. Please try to add your code in a text block and see if it works.

Hi Michel Lenoir,

It’s possible that this issue with saving settings appears because the server security module blocks the access to admin-ajax.php file or the file it’s not found. Try to verify if this happens when you save settings in other cases in theme panel and also verify the console for error while saving the settings on the Theme Panel, usually it displays a 403 or 404 error.
Contact your server administrator and explain the situation, as it’s requested many times during the a save the file it’s treated as threat so it’s banned. You can report false positives to your server administrator to remove it from the banned list.
Please let me know and also provide a link to your site so I can check it.

I have checked your site and you have another theme active. If you still have this issue with hover buttons please change to Newspaper theme and send an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-access so we can take a look, also paste a link to this topic so we can know who you are and what your issue is.

The Visual Composer plugin had some issues lately, they only appeared on some configurations. Check if you have the latest version of the theme (v.6.2.1) and the latest version of Visual Composer (v.4.5.3 ). If you don’t please update and see if the issue is still there. You will need custom modification to display style 1 like that, but I’m not sure why you want that instead of using style 10.
