Note, technically it’s only loaded once, if at all, as most web browsers actually have that “cached” from visiting other sites with that .js — also the browser usually caches first instance and does not fetch the identical file multiple times unless URL is different.
If you do a page scan with something like pingdom etc. you should see from the waterfall it’s really only being fetched once, if at all depending on browser model (e.g., Chrome has it cached on Google cloud, it doesn’t reload it every time).
Not as big an issue as you might think, except perhaps in ancient browsers which should not be used by anybody like IE7/8/9 or ooooold FF stuff.
If the image works with the default image, but not with your version, it may be that the file you’re uploading to replace the original image is malformed in some way, or that the caching is not letting go of the cached file.
You might try this
assuming the file permissions of the files you’re uploading via FTP actually have the correct CHMOD setting … perhaps try using different image editor in case file corrupt in some way …
a) get it working with default placeholder image
b) make sure the /path/to/placeholder works by loading it in web browser based on what prints on page
c) refresh all caching, etc., turn off lazy loading, make sure if using CDN image is actually in ALL places content is being loaded or being redirected from
d) if using https, make sure you have your site properly setup to ONLY load https and NOT both http and https
e) try deleting the placeholder image, not over-write; upload your image, clear all caching again, then reload page and see if new image is there
f) if not, then try using a different image editing program
sorry … might not help, just food for thought
Hi
The theme calls this image as logo for mobile: https://linuxundich.de/static/newsmag/lui-logo-h88png However seams that the image can’t be found o your server or the url is incorrect. Please check if image set as logo for mobile exist in media file and also if the its name is the same with the one from url, clear ll caches and test again.
Let me know how it goes.
Thanks!
Hello beserk77,
Please note that recently we have tested the theme with the Wp Super Cache plugin so we recommend it instead of the W3 Total Cache which has lot’s of settings and it’s more difficult to be used properly and we cannot provide a tutorial for this unreliable cache plugin. Make you use the default settings for the Wp super Cache. We switch our recommended caching plugin to wp super cache because it’s written better, it’s maintained by automatic (the WordPress developers), it’s leaner and overall we have not encountered many problems with it.
If you don’t have basic coding experience and you’re not aware of the steps you need to do regarding for adjusting this plugin to work properly with our theme, we suggest you get an experienced wp user to do it for you, because we cannot provide custom services at the moment, sorry!
Thank you for your understanding!
Hello damian,
Thank you for your appreciating.
1)Our theme has an option for Reviews on posts and you can set it from each post editor like this -> http://screencast.com/t/M2btDgZm5 -> http://screencast.com/t/It2TRx1z44Z and we have not such a plugin that recommended in this regard, sorry!
2)Please check our list of tested plugins here -> http://screencast.com/t/lGfsDtn6 WP Super caches is our tested plugin.
3)Unfortunately, we do not have such plugin as tested with our theme and we cannot give an official response in this regard, but you can consult this topic -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/security-plugin/
4)If you want to add more than one ad for your article you should use Article Inline Ads and you can set after how many paragraphs to add it like this -> http://screencast.com/t/twEg6oAtx For more information about our ads implementation, please consult our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/article-ads/
5)Our pages use the sidebar if you use the pagebuilder+latest articles template and you can set it from panel to deactivate this feature, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/S7XvEYvHQ If you want to hide your sidebar from page builder content you should use a bit of CSS code but it is necessary to know your website URL so I will be able to provide a more accurate response.
Hope this helps!
Thank you for the message!
Hello Sir,
The Cache plugin tutorial uses wp super cache.
I request you to please create another tutorial using the w3 total cache.
The theme is awesome & w3 cache has lot of diverse options ,it already does some of the steps mentioned here – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
We want to optimise the theme speed to the very max using this plugin. Also i am sure it will be helpful to lot of people.
Hi there,
Since yesterday, I am facing a weird issue related to the footer and the sidebar: the footer stretched itself, but not in all the pages/posts (just in some of them), and the posts main sidebar (located on the right), has now “moved” to the left, leaving a huge blank space on the right and covering up the post content.
I have tried by disabling all plugins, cleaning cache, deleting and reinstalling main and child theme but, no luck: the issue is still there.
Since the site is not live yet so, I can provide the support team both FTP and WP admin access (if you give me an e-mail or way to contact you by private message, I will send the details to you), so you can check what’s happening and what might be wrong.
Thank you
Hello,
Your template is really good! Very good optimization, interesting appearance and good solutions. However, we have more than 500k unique users per month. So I think on some additional solutions:
1. Which plugin to rating comments you recommend? Now we use Rating-Widget: Star Review System.
2. Can you recommend any cache plugin? (working with your theme ofc)
3. Can you recommend any “security plugin”, eg: plugin changing wp-admin/wp-login.php links? Or any other plugin?
And two additional questions:
4. We have problem with Article inline ad. We dont know why this ad display under “Article top ad”, so we have than two ads one after the other.
5. We dont want display sidebar widgets on homepage. Any idea how to hide it? We dont want install any plugin. CSS will be enough for us. It is the best solution?
Hi
Make sure sure you added the font according with our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-custom-fonts/ clear the cache memory and test again.
If you still can manage to solve this issue address us via email at contact@tagdiv.com including a link to this conversation and more details about your issue. We will inspect this in shortest time possible and we’ll get back to you with an answer.
Thanks!
Hello,
I have checked your website on multiple platforms and I have to say, there are very strange things I found. Google returns a pagespeed of 100/100 . That is a bit exaggerated. When checking with gtmetrix you get 30% https://gtmetrix.com/reports/www.hafawo.at/OdbrBvsV and on w3c validator: https://validator.w3.org/mobile/check?task=2016021708382976.mobile1&docAddr=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.hafawo.at%2F
Google seems to be the only one that cannot test your site properly. Please try to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear your cache and reset cdn if you use it. Then check with these tools again. There may be some plugin conflict at work here.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks.
Hi
This could happen due to lazy load animation which’s script may conflict with one of your installed plugins. Try to deactivate the animation from theme panel > template settings: http://screencast.com/t/QQvv9v330FZ clear all caches and test again.
If the problem persist please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your login credentials and we will inspect this issue in shortest time possible, also include a link to this topic.
Thanks!
Hello TheRiz,
I have checked your website on Chrome and Safari for IOS on Mac and everything seems to work as expected, without any issues as you said above. Please try to clear all your browser cache and test it again, maybe it might be caused by this, as you saw on your side.
Thank you for the message!
Hello,
I tested the copyright area again and the html does not get converted in any way. I could not recreate the issue. Please try to disable all your plugins except visual composer, clear your cache and reset cdn if you use it. There might be a plugin conflict which interferes with the copyright links. If the problem is still there afterwards, then please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-admin so we can take a look at this. Please also include a link to this topic so we can identify you.
Thank you!
Hi
Did you added any code in analytics field from theme panel: http://screencast.com/t/lMBMydXl2 or have you edited any of the theme files? If you’re using an analytics tracking code make sure that it’s added properly and also check if you updated the theme according with our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-the-theme/ clear all caches and test again.
Let us know how it goes and if the problem persist please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your login credentials and we will inspect this issue as soon as possible, also include a link to this topic.
Thanks!
Hello,
I tested this again on our end but could not recreate the issue. The post view will increment every time the post is being accessed weather it’s directly from the website or from facebook/other social network. We could not find any problem. Please try to disable all your plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn if you use it. There could be a plugin conflict/caching issue that is affecting your views. You can test the counter yourself by refreshing the post page or accessing it from facebook. The counter should increment on every access. If it doesn’t, then please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-admin so we can inspect this issue on your end because like I said above, we cannot recreate it on our end. Also please post a link to this topic so we can identify you.
Thank you!
Still not working.
Here is how the code in td_module is saved right now:

And here’s the sidebar on a post’s page where there should be a placeholder image, but isn’t:

I did clear my cache and browsing history and all that, just to make sure… I have the worst luck.
Hi,
Please provide a link to your website so we can inspect the issue.
What you can try to do is disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it to rule out a plugin conflict.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks.
Hi
Check if the fields from translation panel are empty: http://screencast.com/t/mGdJbzLYC9WN also clear all caches and test again.
Let us know how it goes and if the problem persist please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your login credentials and we will inspect this issue as soon as possible, also include a link to this topic.
Thanks!
Hello,
The hamburger is not the only thing not working. The search also does not work or other javascript elements. You have a js error in your console. Most likely a plugin conflict.
Please disable all your plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn if you use it.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks.
Hello flameblue59,
I have tested on my side this feature and everything seems to work as expected. Please ensure that this problem does not come from your untested plugins. Please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer, clear all cache and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. For better results, we recommend using the latest version of the theme and tested plugins.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thank you for the message!
Hello,
Please disable all your plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. This should fix it if it’s a plugin conflict. If the problem is still there, then please increase the parameters from system status by following this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Let us know how it goes.
Thank you!
Hello,
The editor style.css affects the back-end of your website. If this does not load for some reason, it could probably be a plugin that conflicts with it. Please try to disable all your plugins except visual composer and clear your cache. (also reset cdn files if you use it).
Let us know if the problem is still there afterwards.
Thank you!
Hello Thomas,
As I have said into your previous topic, these errors come from interference between your untested plugins and our theme. Please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer, clears all cache and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thank you for the message!
Hello geroblu,
Please ensure that you have entered correctly the IDs in the correct fields -> the post ID in Post ID field and the category ID in Multiple categories field -> http://screencast.com/t/qOauH7qrVu Also, please make sure you have found the correct category ID like this -> http://screencast.com/t/hVovBKw0U Please notice that if you do not respect this order, you can not see the results. I have tested on my side with category ID and post ID and everything seems to work as expected. Also, if you follow the correct steps in this regard and your problem is still there, please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer, clear all cache and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins.
Thank you for the message!
Hi
The background image is not added by the theme as the backstretch class is missing from page source. Try to deactivate deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches and test again.
Let us know how it goes and if you still can’t manage to solve this issue please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your login credentials and we will inspect this issue as soon as possible, also include a link to this topic.
Thanks!
