Hi,
I have checked your site an noticed that the space below the player comes from a padding added to the bottom of the player, you can check this yourself using your browser’s developers tools. I have also noticed some js error in your console which also come from the embedded play-wire player: http://screencast.com/t/d4C2Q1U91Is1
Please make sure that you disable all plugins then empty cache and try again.
Please let me know!
Thanks
Hi,
I have checked your site and found this js error in your console: http://screencast.com/t/00MXQtAfz which can cause this so please make sure that you check for this without any plugins active and also make sure that you empty cache and purge files if you use any CDN host services.
Please let me know!
Thanks
Thats happened me too..
Clear your browser cache which resolves this issue.
Goodluck
And for those interested in forcing cache refresh:
In td_social_api.php, on the second line of functon get_social_counter()
change:
if ($this->in_cache($service_id, $user_id) === false) {
to
if (true/*$this->in_cache($service_id, $user_id) === false*/) {
then refresh a page that has the social counter widget on it, and then change the code back.
It is important that you put it back, otherwise every visit to that page will trigger count checks.
Oh interesting. In that case, just change the pattern to use “name” instead of “property”
$pattern = '/<meta.*name="pinterestapp:followers".*content="(.*)".*>/';
Also keep in mind that unless you also modify the code to refresh the cache, you won’t see the followers update for 3 hours.
Hi,
Please make sure you update the theme right: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme/
Also please make sure you do not have any js errors in the console also empty all cache/purge files and try again. This should work fine.
Also check this without any plugins active.
If nothing works please send an e-mail at contact@tagdiv.com and give us wp-access so we can check this.
Thanks
Hi,
I have tested this using the latest theme version(4.6) and found no issue with the comment sort order in tabs, I have also tested this into the sidebar and still haven’t found no issues with it.
Please try to disable all plugins and make sure you empty cache then check again.
Thanks
Hi,
I have a problem with my category page. It might be a bug. When I display the big grid on the category template every menu item shows up. Even the one I didn’t publish in the main menu.
I found a thread with a similar problem but I couldn’t find a solution:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/all-category-name-being-displayed/
You can see the problem here: http://www.stylezebra.de/category/vorher-nachher/
I am using W3 Total cache but only enabled the page cache (no minify etc.).
Team tagdiv, do you have an advice for my problem?
Thank you,
Carolin
Hi,
Checked gain, also tried to recreate this but couldn’t find any issue with this. Please make sure that you also empty cache so that the page isn’t loaded form cache and try again and also provide, if possible, a screenshot of this issue.
Thanks
I would probably re-install Visual Composer as a first step.
Or, if using a CDN or cache; try clearing/resetting that to capture updated version of the site content.
Please disregard my last message. It did end up working after clearing out the browser cache and not just the plugin cache.
Seems to be working now
Hi,
Please make sure that you set a feature image for that post replacing the video URL and setting the post to standard format and check if the feature image is set as I have also checked this and haven’t found any issues with this: http://screencast.com/t/yvgevVyO2lK
If you still don’t have any feature image as a thumb please make sure that you disable all plugins, empty cache then regenerate the thumbs again and check for this by uploading an image and setting it as featured image.
Please let me know!
Thanks
Adding more bloat and features I/we (our company) don’t need slows down the theme and adds more complexity of code. When speaking of “our” I am speaking for our news network (we have a 32 year old publishing/information business NEOTROPE®). So we have news portals appearing in Google news since it launched in beta; and sites online 10-15 years. “Our” refers to “our company,” not me personally.
For example to make the theme full width requires additional @media classes to resize things to fit the viewport. This adds more CSS, and/or more JS to the theme elements loaded for every page load, even if cached.
Newspaper got a little complicated with the 200 feature requests, mostly for things we didn’t need around here like WooCommerce support, and various other things which bloated the code a bit (generally a “newspaper” isn’t a “store”); but many folks loved the theme and kept piling on “hey can we do this?” and the team kept adding things, and still do so, which is awesome. But it’s got a lot more code than it did a year ago. Not a bad thing, just a little further away from a pure “newspaper” solution, which was its original intent, and hence our original purchase, and support.
Just my thought. Your mileage may vary.
You can certainly modify the theme to change the CSS, or hire a developer, but I doubt they will add “full width” capability, just as they removed the “fixed width” capability from Newspaper (and upset some people); this theme was answer to having a fixed width theme for those who want it. Just an observation, and possibly completely incorrect 🙂
I don’t speak for the company in any way, although quite a bit of my feedback and expertise as a 10-year WordPress user have made their way into some elements of themes and the docs, which is great to help contribute to since we (our company) use both TagDiv themes.
I DO AGREE ON HOME PAGE:
I do agree that it would be cool having the top image bar element full width as an option, although you’d get some issues with the images having to be responsive and both the images and the VC “block” would need to be set to fill the divs, and this means the images used would never be their “actual size” and hence you’d get a warning from PageSpeed about the images being resized (not an issue for us since we use mod_pagespeed to cache “resized” images based on the resized format) – which some people obsessed with pagespeed score might not like. But yeah…. I’d love to see that particular module you’ve identified have a full width option – many sites like news.com, and other have similar element.
So, I do agree on home page; disagree on post pages.

Hello,
1- There is a weird separator character in my main forum page http://www.outdoorhaber.com/forum I also noticed that this forum have it too! Look at the title https://forum.tagdiv.com/forum/newsmag/ you will see Forum:Newsmag | In my case it is “Forumlar |”
I talked with BBpress support and they advised me to talk with you. I consider myself an above average WordPress user, but I couldn’t find a way to get rid of “|”.
2- I want to publish all my content in Open Sans Latin-extended (best for Turkish language) How do I do that? Can you please simply add “Open Sans Latin-extended” in the drop-down menu? I don’t want to deal with codes, tricks.. (pls do it in your next update, but until then please post a temporary solution here)
3- I was using a background picture, because this theme is all white and it makes my and visitors eyes aching. Because of that, I was using a background picture. From theme panel, I was simply selecting http://www.outdoorhaber.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/outdoor-haber-arkaplan-toprak-fotografi.jpg this as a background and using it in peace lol.
All of a sudden it disappeared in the frontend. I can see it in theme panel, I am uploading a new file, but there’s no way I can display a background picture for a week. What is the solution? (I am not using a cache plugin) here’s a screenshot of theme panel http://i.imgur.com/at23ydC.jpg
Thanks in advance
Hi Lucian,
thank you. It’s working when I use the live css tool. But nothing changes when I put it into the custom css section of the newsmag theme. I emptied the cache…
Any ideas?
Thank you,
Carolin
Hi,
Thanks Christopher!
@Dbm811
As Christopher wrote you need a “gravatar” or use the a plugin like WP User Avatar
For the video playlist issue please make sure you do it right and follow this guide for that: https://forum.tagdiv.com/video-playlist-newsmag/
If still dose not work please try this without any plugins active and also make sure that you empty cache and try again as I have also tested this and found no issue with it.
Hope this helps!
Thanks

Hi,
First please make sure that this isn’t happening due to some other plugins you are using so make sure you disable all plugins laving just Visual Composer and Social Counter and also empty cache and/or purge files if you use any cache plugins or CDN host services and try again.
What theme version do you use as we have included the fixed version of the plugin into the latest theme update 4.6 so if you do not using it we suggest that you get the latest theme version from themeforest and you should find the fixed social counter plugin’s version within the theme’s files in the plugins folder.
Thanks
Lucian,
Thank you for your feedback. I’m using version 4.6 so that’s not the issue.
Console error was as follows:
Failed to load resource: net::ERR_CACHE_MISS
https://www.facebook.com/plugins/comments.php?api_key=591407500917698&chann…iew-love-addict-3%2F&locale=en_US&numposts=6&sdk=joey&skin=light&width=600 Failed to load resource: net::ERR_CACHE_MISS
Can you please let me have your email address so I can send you my admin login details for you to investigate further?
Thanks
Derek
Hi,
Not sure how this is happening in your case but I have also tested this settings the video you also have in your post as featured video and had this result: http://screencast.com/t/rs6JaSGd1Lel
As you can see the video icon dose appear along with the video thumb so make sure that you do this right and that you clear your cache as this should not happen.
Thanks
Hi,
Sorry for the delay! Please make sure that this is not due to other plugins or that you haven’t done other custom changes to your site and also make sure you empty cache and purge files if you use CDN and check again.
Also try to switch to a default WordPress theme like twenty-fourteen or other and see if this is still happening as this could also be cause by WordPress and that is why your issue persists after a theme fresh install.
We haven’t had another reports of this behavior so this can only be due to the theme if it is conflicting with something else.
Please also check your console while editing a post or posting it and let me know if any errors appear.
If you still can’t manage to find a fix for this please let us know and also give us wp-access so we can have a look and provide your wp-admin and FTP logind details at contact@tagdiv.com and also paste a link to this tread in your message.
Hope this helps!
Thanks
Hi,
Modifications to the themes grid is something that we strongly do not recommend and the span classes div’s containers are part of the grid’s layout so any modifications you do to the grid layout I suggest you remove as this is the cause of your issues as you also noticed, so please remove all custom changes you have made to the theme then check again for all this errors and let me know which still remain.
I have also founds this js errors: http://screencast.com/t/o7UhD4xikQV in your console so I also suggest you check this without plugins active and with emptied cache and files purged if you use CDN hosting.
Hope this helps!
Thanks
Hi,
This should be simple to set as you just need to place the content into the tabs, like this: http://screencast.com/t/3hqPZRugLmU and the result: http://screencast.com/t/NWv0ok7gd
As you can see I have also tested this and found no issues with this so please make sure that your are not using any plugins that may affect this and to do so try this without any plugins active and also empty your cache and purge files if you use any CDN host services.
I have made my tested with the latest theme version so if you are not using it I suggest to update your theme to the latest version which is 1.2 the check for this again and let me know of what you find and also provide your site’s URL so I can inspect this.
Hope this helps!
Thanks
I’ve tried disabling plugins and emptying the cache, seems to not work
Hi,
Please provide trough site’s URL so I can also inspect this and try to disable all plugins leaving just the Visual Composer plugin active then empty cache if you sue any and check again.
I have also check this and found no issue of this type using the latest theme version so please make sure you also update the theme to the latest version which is 1.2 and check again.
Please let me know if you still have issue with it after following this steps.
Thanks
