Ok, managed to get the php.ini problem sorted out with my hosting provider. This is my system panel right now:

Everything looking good I guess? Still, no success in saving the translation settings. I should also say, this is the only setting that I cannot save. Everything else has always been working just fine.

As for plugins: I only use three not tested plugins that I all deactivated, but that didn’t help:
Cookie Law Info
Limit Login Attempts
Reveal IDs

I’m also using WP Super Cache and WP User Avatar which are supported. (Also deactivated WP Super Cache, didn’t help.)

Any ideas? Many thanks,
Manfred

Hi,

It is recommended to use the WP Super Cache plugin, here is a guide to help you configure the cachehttps://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/ and also you can make improvements to the site loading speed using this tutorial here – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/ You could always search the forum for tips and valuable insight from our users, on how to improve page speed.

Hello annors,

Clear all your caches, purge all CDN files and check the results. Also, if the problem is still there, please make a screenshot to your System Status and provide me so I can inspect it.

Thanks for the message!

Hello JJ0000,

Most likely, this error happens due to your PHP memory which probably is exhausted, and that’s why you got this error. Try to increase your system status according to our guide here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/ and also, if the problem is still there, please provide a screenshot with your system status configuration so I can see it. Clear all your caches, purge CDN files and check the results. Also, if you are using some untested plugins, remove all of them and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme packet and rule out any conflicting plugins.

Thanks for your understanding!

Hi,

That is a default ad size so it should be there from the start, and the code used in the theme file seems valid. Try to disable all the plugins except Visual composer, clear the cache and purge cdn files if used. Also check any custom code you might have entered in theme panel or added to the theme files, and deactivate the child theme if you have one.

Thanks

Hello communiquel,

Please ensure that you are using the latest version of the theme. Otherwise, you should update it to the latest one via FTP way, increase the system status according to our documentation guide here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/ Clear all your caches, purge all CDN files and check the results. If the problem is still there, try to make a new fresh install from scratch via FTP way and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme packet and rule out any conflicting plugins.

Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!

Thanks for your understanding!

Hello,

This could be a plugin conflict so please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.

Thank you!

Hello Ace,

I guess that you do not use the correct layout in your backend in Visual Composer. Use the layout 1/1 and add your desired blocks, like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/TatBYdyD1 Clear all your caches and check the results.

Thanks for your understanding!

Hi,

@Hivvu
If you tried disabling all (very important) the plugins except Visual composer, cleared the cache maybe something else if interfering with the theme js. Try disabling the child theme and check any custom code you may have added in theme panel, or to the theme files. Also make sure you use the latest version of the bundled plugins (I see you are using the speed booster plugin)

Thanks

Hello phirbhinews,

1)I have inspected your website, and I saw that your Social Counter still not working as expected. Please ensure that you have installed it according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-social-counter-tutorial/ You have to install only the plugins which come bundled with the theme and rule out any conflicting plugins. Clear all your caches, purge CDN files and check the results.
2)If you want to edit this type of section from your website, notice that you should do it from backend in Visual Composer like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/5l1QawH2uHe This is a tab element from Visual Composer which has been customized by our web designers.

Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!

Sorry. I was referring to Newspaper, that is what we are using.

A couple of comments from customer perspective.

1. “You should disable the server cache
—- To the best of my understanding you can’t really disable the servr cache on WP engine (and why should you :))
And WP engine doesn”t allow to use W3 Total Cache at all.
So you are basically either forcing your customers to use different hosting or to not to use your mobile theme.
It doesn’t seem like a great approach.
Majority of my clients are on WP Engine.

2. My personal experience with W3 Total Cache is pretty bad – it broken a couple if sites (even with minify feature disabled, so it is a good plugin – but it is hit and miss.)

Thanks i had plan to use opcache. Yes i saw you recommend WP Supercache in documentation but i mainly had better result with W3TC in overall experience (if you know what you are doing my experience is that W3TC is far better).

Since you suggested it I’ll use WP Supercache though…and will see from there.

Thanks

PHP 5.6 and PHP7 include ‘opcache’ support inherently, so you might look into that.

For WP caching, there is recommended solution in the theme docs.

Hi.
We have an issue regarding WordPress comments. When an user tries to comment, it is not possible. They fill all the mandatory fields but when pressing “submit”, it appears a red sentence saying “Please enter your comment”. You can see it here: https://www.screencast.com/t/9PYVpDOGzB4M
We have tried clearing cache but it doesn’t work.
What can we do?
Thanks!

Hello,

I see in your documentation that you recommend APC. I like APC and i had good performance with it. However recently we prefer PHP 7 on our project because of other things – and APC is not officially supported on PHP 7. Can you offer opinion on viable 3rd party alternative? Apart from builtin cache.

Kind regards

Hi,

Please provide a link to your website pointing to the problem so we can inspect it. An image inserted in the post content should display where you position it inside the post structure – https://www.screencast.com/t/Kwg9djNHhttps://www.screencast.com/t/BwpPad6nU Maybe a plugin could affect this, you could try to deactivate all your plugins except Visual composer, clear the cache and check again.

Thanks

Hi Matt,

You can use both but please make sure you set them exactly like explained here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
and https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/

Thank you!
