What should I do now ? I have deactivated W3 Total Caches and install WP Super Cache.
Hi tagdiv,
I’m in trouble of issue with WP Super Cache and theme Newspaper.
My case is:
– I delete all cache
– I go to a post from a desktop. Cache generates.
– I go to a post from a mobile, my website renders desktop view. => system should generate mobile cache instead, and render mobile view.
I have follow this post and CHECKED on mobile supports. https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
Any suggestion for me? My website is http://quabongvang.vn/
Thanks,
Thai
Hello Grex,
The only thing that has to do is to update the theme to the latest version of it (Newspaper 7.4) with the latest version of required plugins (Visual Composer 4.12.1 and Social Counter 4.1), clear all your caches and then check the results.
Hope this helps!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello Fitlogy.com,
As my colleague Andrei said you above, the W3 Total Caches is not a tested plugin and therefore you should try to disable it and install our tested plugin like WP Super Cache. Until now we have not encountered any bad reports in this regard.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello Leofitz,
Unfortunately, I cannot compare both websites because on this website here -> http://newstest.meta-morphos.es/ you are using the Mobile Theme and on the mobile mode has the totally different layout. Also, please try to get rid of it all the custom implementation and try the theme like at default settings. The Revolution Slider is fully optimized for mobile mode. Also, if you are using some untested plugins, please try to disable all of them and leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme and rule out any conflicting plugins. If you want to display more levels in the theme and if you are not aware of the steps which are needed to take in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide custom work at the moment, sorry!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi
Please make sure that you setup the plugin according with our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-tagdiv-social-counter-tutorial/ clear all caches then test the site again.
Let us know how it goes and if the problem persist please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your login credentials and we will inspect this issue as soon as possible, also include a link to this topic.
Thanks!
Hi
I cannot duplicate the issue on my end, I’ve added a self hosted video in post content and works fine on full width mode. I’ve made the test wit V 3.1 of Newsmag. Try to update the theme again following our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-the-theme/ also update the social counter at V 4.1 which is included in theme’s path and setup the plugin according with our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-tagdiv-social-counter-tutorial/ , clear all caches, purge cdn files if you’re sing then test the site again.
Let us know how it goes and if the problem persist please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your login credentials, also give us ftp access, and we will inspect this issue as soon as possible. In your message include a link to this topic.
Thanks!
Hello weeshsrl,
Do you use the Speed Booster? This behaviour can happen due to this plugin. Try to disable this if you use it, clear all your caches and test it again. Also, if this is still there, please notice that this type of plugin is not tested with our theme and we have no idea about the theme behaviour with this type of plugin and also, we cannot give an accurate answer in this regard. Please notice that the Ad System is not a live feature and it may take a while until update and that’s why this flash.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi @sibinfotech,
There is no issue with the theme regarding what you describe until there is an incompatibility with some third plugin or cache misconfiguration.
It can occur for many reasons:
You are using some plugin (which?) of cache? (you’re cleaning after any modifications?)
How about third plugins, special this one “Yop Poll”.
what change have you done lately?
Also you have some errors & advertence on console!
Hi @stigr,
Is not a bug and it has never been. I visit your site on mobile and works well (as it should).
Clear your cache from the mobile browser & try again
Thanks a lot for your time and comment.
1. Posts were disabled – screenshot – http://screencast.com/t/PtYvtSmCHm
2. I don’t have cache control plugin in wordpress. (for example – WP supercache etc.. )
But black labels are the same.
I tried to refresh browser F5, Ctrl+R – all the same – http://screencast.com/t/iojz7Vi1Nsw
Hi @kibiribi,
1. That label is a comment count. Disable it for settings panel.
2. Clear your cache
Hey Chris S,
Thanks for your suggestions. But all your suggestion for those who have basic knowledge of programming.
As I can see theme package contains the woff file. So there is no need to add the following the line in .htaccess
ExpiresByType application/font-woff2 "access plus 604800 seconds"
The htaccess code provided by me do not have pagespeed module enabled.
Those who have pagespeed module enabled from cPanel they may disable it from cPanel or by adding following code to the .htaccess file.
<IfModule pagespeed_module>
ModPagespeed off
</IfModule>
I would suggest learners to disable pagespeed module as it causes cache issue* If it’s not configured properly.
Seems that on GitHub found a patch, but of course, no one will receive an push notification through WordPress.
LOL
Are you sure you that Frederick Townes not won the lottery 🙂 and right now is on a beach somewhere unknown?
Really Chris, they have capital needed and popularity so don’t tell me they don’t have staff to fix vulnerability every hour if they want.
I got no feeling for them one way or the other, I have some time that I stopped using cache plugins, pity for those who use it.
Note – if using a caching plugin or external service, they “might” be adding query strings to things to control caching. I remove query strings so things can be cached. But some other plugins can add them back to disable caching or modify how css and js are cached.
In my example code, on all my sites regardless of theme — not using any external optimization system / CDN, or caching plugin — it does remove the query strings ….
Also note all my optimizations started with newspaper then moved to newsmag and are theme independent as they impact how WordPress works, not the “theme,” unless something specifically says “/* newsmag fix*/” or similar. 🙂
Latest vulnerability is not fixed.
version 0.9.4.1
Compatible up to: 4.5.4
Last Updated: 6 months ago
Active Installs: 1+ million
W3 Total Cache was updated six months ago with a fix for two security issues. The last major update, 0.9.4, was released in 2014. After many users began to wonder if the plugin was abandoned, we spoke with author Frederick Townes in March to learn the status of W3 Total Cache. His said that development and other operations have been ongoing and that his team is working towards leaving officially beta and moving towards a 1.0 release. No major updates have been issued and Townes’ company blog has remained silent.
At this point, the only option users have is to disable the plugin or use an account with author or editor permissions instead of the administrator account. The plugin’s author has been contacted about the vulnerability but there is no security update available via WordPress.org yet.

Hey nairolf,
After referring to your comment and the link provided, finally, I successfully activated the speed booster plugin and successfully moved all .JS files in the footer.
In my previous attempt, I was not able to find the correct CSS and JS ID, but this I found it. Reason?
Just discovered the real issue behind why we usually are not able to find the correct .js and .css id for adding it to the td-speed-booster.php and the issue was: I was copying text from the wrong location.
Like me, We all usually copy the “Registered .JS and Registered .CSS code” that appear on the top of the WordPress admin page where we have just added the “code” in functions.php code.
Actually, it displays only those .CSS and .JS codes that loads under WordPress Admin Dashboard panel. To find the actual codes, you must visit either your homepage or any post and then copy the “Registered .JS and Registered .CSS ” file into a text.
But in the case of CSS files, Google Pagespeed still showing various .CSS files
https://domain.com/…in/public/css/facebook-login.css?ver=7.3
https://fonts.googleapis.com/…0,700|Amiri:400,700|Lora:400,700&ver=7.3
https://fonts.googleapis.com/…italic,700,900,500italic,400,300&ver=7.3
https://domain.com/…r/assets/css/js_composer.min.css?ver=7.3
https://domain.com/…ntent/themes/Newspaper/style.css?ver=7.3
Though when I check the “View Source” of my post on Google Chrome, I can see these CSS moving from top to footer ( checked with and without adding the code and noticed the difference) , it’s just that it’s not appearing on Google Pagespeed result. Of course, I cleared all kind of Cache ( Super Cache+ Cloudflare) before checking it, but it’s not reflecting on Google Pagespeed result.
Only one .JS file still appears o some of the post, ie:
http://domain.com/wp-content/plugins/akismet/_inc/form.js
Do you know ID for Akismet so that I can attempt to move it too?
One more important thing- Under some thread, somebody mentioned to search for CSS ID using “View Source” page on Google Chrome but the ID that appears on this page like :
<link rel='stylesheet' id='facebook-login-css' href='http://domain.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-facebook-login/public/css/facebook-login.css' type='text/css' media='all' />
<link rel='stylesheet' id='google-fonts-style-css' href='http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?
These IDs contain “-css” at the end but it doesn’t work . Actually ID as found using this method ( Point 5.2) , doesn’t contain -css in the ID and it works well.
So, one should use ‘google-fonts-style’ as CSS ID not ‘google-fonts-style-css’
Can you tell me why it’snot displaying on Google Pagespeed? Is there something else that I need to look on?
Thank you.
PS: I am planning to remove https://wordpress.org/plugins/host-analyticsjs-local/ plugin. Don’t know if it’s the reason behind low traffic

Hi
Please make sure that you follow our documentation in order to install the theme: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ clear all caches then test the site again. Basically you need to unzip the Newspaper-tf.zip file and upload Newspaper.zip file in your wordpress.
Let us know ho it goes.
Thanks!
That’s why you have the problem. W3TC is not fully compatible with Newspaper.
The Staff recomended only WP SUper Cache
